Lori Harder speaks directly about dismantling age-based labels and expectations, especially those placed on women. She urges reframing aging as accumulation of wisdom, strength, and richer relationships, and calls for celebrating each year rather than internalizing limiting societal 'shoulds.'

I want to break age as a label. Why does it matter? It's only telling yourself that you should be here, you should be doing this, you should be married, you should have kids by now, you should have succeeded by now. You should feel older, you should maybe not feel as strong and healthy because you're this old. It's all just constant labels and reminders of limiting beliefs for ourselves that society has put onto us. Especially as a woman, I am now aware the richness of every year as I get older, and I wish that that was celebrated like, you just get better and better and better every single year. And that's what we should all be celebrating is like the lessons and how wise you become and the richness of your relationships.
