A framework for choosing what to work on: easy tasks get done immediately, while harder projects only happen if they promise exponential growth. Building a studio and writing a book each took three years but generate lasting returns for decades, versus incremental wins that add steady progress.

The way I look at things is how easy is it to do versus how impactful is it to do. If something's really, really easy to do, I'll do it right away. You're going to have stages of business where you have incremental growth, and then you can have stages where you can have exponential growth. And I like to have 1 to 2 things that are working towards exponential growth, and then I'm going to keep the other things of incremental growth because exponential growth, a lot of time to pull off those projects, it's hard. We're building a new studio as an example. Something is exponential growth. It's taken me 3 years. That's something that will have exponential growth on the business. Writing the book took me 3 years. That will have exponential growth. These are evergreen strategies that I'm going to be able to run for decades.
