When you do a lock clam, you really want to point your pelvis to the floor. A lot of people, when they do a lock clam, is they set up and they're too straight. Now you can play with your foot position. What I personally like is the back leg is always going to be straight, and I like to put the leg on top, on top of my ankle. Now in this position, all I can move— and with your head, some people move up, some people— what you want to do is just pop your head down on your arm so you're laying flat. So in this position The only thing that's going to move is my glute. I'm going to pull my leg off the floor. I can prop my hand here if I want to get a bit more stability.
