Mark Ottobre shows how to do a slant board squat with dumbbells. Keep your heels on the board and toes on the floor, hold the weights behind your body, and descend for four seconds until your glutes touch your ankles. Lean back slightly, keep your sternum up, and maintain knees over toes throughout.

This is a slant board squat with dumbbells. So what you're gonna do, you need a slant. I like to use that angle, nice and high. Now what we're gonna do is we're gonna bring our heels and our toes are gonna be touching the floor. I like to have the feet out ever so slightly. Now this is all about getting the knees over toes. So a lot of people when they do this with dumbbells is they throw it forward and they make it easier. That is completely not how to do them, and I do not wanna see you doing them like that. What we're gonna do with our dumbbells is we're going to bring them behind our body, right behind your body the whole time. That way there is no swinging forward. As you come down, I want a 4-second tempo, nice and slow. Knees— I want your bum over and touching your ankles, and then straight back up. Stick your sternum up to the roof. All the way down, standing up. For— instead of leaning forward, get in the habit of leaning back. Try and make your spine as long as possible and you come up and headbutt the roof. Knees over toes, knees over toes, knees over toes and standing up. Knees over toes, knees over toes, knees over toes and standing up. This is a slant board squat with dumbbells.
