How do you set yourself apart as a trainer who's just starting out? What you're going to lack in experience, you're going to make up for in enthusiasm. I think enthusiasm is at least 25 IQ points a lot of the time. Enthusiasm will get you pretty far, particularly in the beginning, and just a good work ethic of genuinely trying to go over and above. And people think that they need to be the next Instagram influencer in the fitness industry, and the truth is you have a local community who will be delighted if you gave them your 100%. My advice, folks starting out into fitness industry as personal trainers is to put the personal back into the training and focus on the people in front of you, going out of your way to delight them, actively add value to their lives and add value to the training and results. And on top of that, seek out knowledge and education. Really, there's only two things that are going to level you up, and that's a better mindset or a better skill set. Focus on leveling up those two things and also focus on the client in front of you.
