Two wrist wraps compared: a stiff Harris wrap that locks your wrist solid for heavy overhead presses, and a medium wrap that lets you move for front squats and cleans. Pick the right one or you'll wreck your shoulder mechanics.

Now let me show you what a stiffer wrap looks like. I'm going to wrap up this wrist with the Harris, and these are, these are— wow, these are thick, and they're— it's a lot of material. I'm going to wrap up this wrist with this, this wrap, which is a medium support, stiff material, but not, not as long as the Harris and not as stiff, because I, I save these ones for like super heavy, 1 rep, 2 rep, 3 rep. That's when these ones come out. So now both of these, my wrists aren't really moving, right? So you can see now if I was to press these wrists aren't moving. This one you can see particularly, cuz this is even harder. I'm going to exaggerate. I'm forward, really like, ah, that doesn't feel nice in my shoulder at all because the wrist isn't able to flex. I'm not even going to squat on that one. So immediately I feel, because that wrist is not moving. So this is where you want to make sure you have the right support systems. Again, on a press, on an overhead, this is, this is money, these are gold. On a front squat, a clean, a snatch, this is going to be way, way too much where you need that wrist to move with the shoulder.
