An Unplanned Akashic Reading Blew My Mind at Our First Retreat | Matt & Corisande Cooke

Matt and Corisande Cooke hosted their first 32-person retreat at The Ranch in Hudson Valley. An Akashic Records reading revealed Matt's past life as a mapmaker, and a fire-release ceremony moved them to tears. They're launching a two-day manifestation workshop in Barcelona in October 2026.

We held this retreat that we've just come back from at the ranch in the Hudson Valley in New York. It was breathtaking in every sense.
However, I was like, it's gonna require me to like really step up here. I'm gonna have to come out massively out of my comfort zone.
People that aren't used to ever speaking in front of groups were coming out and feeling how great they felt to have the confidence to share their stories. But the Saturday, this is where it all started to click. I had my Akashic Records read. She tuned into a life of mine in the 16th century when I was in Portugal and she said, wow, I'm, I'm picking up up here that in the 16th century you made maps. And we're in there and I've just come out of a session literally where I've taught someone a formula, how to essentially use a map to navigate not ocean waves, but the quantum waves to go and create their future. I've just had literally here as I'm sat here now, a realisation.
There's no noise. Everyone was deep in it. Focus and concentration. Everyone was absolutely on it. A feeling of nerves can be confused as something not great, but actually it very often is your body's way of just dealing with change. I'm really proud of what we created. But why don't you talk about the final night?
So yeah, welcome to another episode on Beyond. Karestan and I are so excited about this one. We are fresh back from New York. We have just hosted the most incredible retreat of our life, and we're so excited to share with you some insights that we know are really going to help you on your journey. And we're also going to dive into just some epiphanies and breakthroughs that we had, including a completely unexpected Akashic record reading that I had whilst I was there. So with that said, enjoy this podcast. And I will just say one thing before we dive into this episode: if you're not already subscribed to this channel, uh, please, if you could, just hit the subscribe button if you're watching this on YouTube. That small gesture will make a massive difference to this channel. So with that said, let's dive straight into it. Coruscant.
Fresh back from New York.
Fresh back. How do you feel?
I feel really sad. Every time. So New York for us is, I think, could we call it like a second home? It feels like second home. It feels like—
Yes.
When I leave, I feel like I'm saying goodbye to Like a part of myself. And every time we get off the— do you know what? It's just the expanse of being there.
Yeah, it's like that.
You never know who you're gonna meet. You never know what conversations you're gonna have. And you just never know, like, what energy it's going to bring. And I think this time it brought so much energy for us.
We held this retreat, didn't we, that we've just come back from at the ranch in the Hudson Valley in New York. And there were 32 people there. Before we talk about how this retreat went, why don't you talk about what led us to first thinking about launching a retreat, how you found it, because I think a lot of people will be interested to know that process because it was breathtaking in every sense. Before we share the magic that happened there, talk me through that process.
Well, I think for me, I definitely have an aesthetic that Matt and I do follow. And we also, though, I had this real intuitive nudge that we needed to create something truly special in person, because it is incredibly hard to create that sort of energy at an event.
Mm-hmm.
Because there are so many people, you can't get to everyone, and you're being pulled in different directions. And I said to Matt, I think we need to do something intimate, but we need to do something that feels like us. And we were very, very strict from the get-go. I was incredibly— I knew exactly what I wanted it to be. And I wanted it to be an experience that was, if I'm honest, I was catering for myself.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Which is important.
I said to myself, if I was going to a retreat, how would I want it to be? How would I want it to feel? But most of all, what, what is the take-home that I would want from this? And I think it is human connection. And it's an element of kind of bringing an energy to a space that people are able to feel and sense and take home a feeling with them. And how— the only way I can kind of liken, or the only feeling I can liken it to, is if anyone can think of, because I know we certainly can, going to someone's house, a friend's house.
Yeah.
And this friend creates an energy in their home, an energy that feels warm. It feels like you don't want to leave. And when you go, you feel like you've just left this bubble that you don't want to leave because it feels so good. And I wanted to create that. I wanted people to spend a few days with us, experience what we'd created, and not want to leave, and actually that feeling to live in their memory. So, I set about trying to find that, where that place was. I knew it was going to be in New York because I know that is such a special place for us.
Yeah.
But I know exploring New York, like, for example, you've done something in Rhinebeck before now, which I know for anyone that hasn't really explored that location, it's a beautiful location. There are many more like that. But I thought it needs to be something that's like people can leave the city and feel like they're escaping or fully switching off. And I found an article on the ranch. And it was by an incredibly prestigious magazine.
Who was it?
It was Forbes and Vogue actually had done a— I didn't know that. Yeah, there was an article online and I skimmed through it because I don't read anything really.
No.
But read the bits that I needed to.
Did a Coruscant read.
Yeah, did a Coruscant skim and like an X-ray, literally. And then, and thought, this is the place. I know it is. It had It had just such a chic energy, but it had a very quietly cool, not shouting in your face, you know, there was no reception, which I did—
You mean like this setup? It was cute.
Yeah, but I really didn't want people to feel like they were coming into a hotel and there was a reception and they were being checked in. And it was like, it was that really corporate feeling. I wanted it to be like there was no reception, there was no like people greeting you, like it was just very chic, effortless, cool. And I found this place and just was, just fell in love with it. But I noticed they don't really work with people. They run their own workshops weekly. They're very successful with what they do. They're very discreet. They're also very private. It's not like a, they're not shouting about working with people. So I, my brain was saying to me, how is this gonna happen?
But fundamentally, before we get into this, because I think it's super interesting, me listening to that as a coach.
Yeah.
You were clear on your intention. When Corison came to me and said, Matt, I think we should host our first retreat, but I want it to be a little bit like a slice of the Cotswolds. We love time in the Cotswolds.
Yeah, which is amazing. Yeah.
We like Estelle Manor and we like The Pig. And those types of places don't have that sort of traditional reception, do they?
No.
It's a bit very chic. And that was the intent you had. Now, fundamentally, which is important to note, You were manifesting that independently whilst I was manifesting something else, weren't you?
Yeah.
Help people understand. So you had that clear vision. And then what happened? So how did you— so you then read the Forbes or skimmed the Forbes article? And then you took the action? What was the action?
So the action was we DM'd them on Instagram.
Yes.
Yeah, we sent them a DM. And it was just really casual. Like, we'd love to host a retreat. If I'm being honest, there was a little bit of doubt in my mind just because of, I start, just for anyone that can relate to this, when you take action, that kind of period between anything happening and you actually taking the action and something happening, that's where the doubt creeps in, I think, in that time period. So I was thinking, like, is this possible? Like, could it happen?
Were you really doubting?
I was thinking, like, 'cause I'd actually messaged 3 other places. And if I'm being completely authentic, the 3 other places, I didn't want them to come back. Of course, they did immediately. And when I said I didn't want them to come back—
Sometimes it is, isn't it?
They were still great, still beautiful, but not truly what I wanted it to be and how I imagined and envisaged it. Now, those 3 came back. They wanted us to run the retreat on the dates. They were offering us the dates. They were really keen. And I had to stay really true to myself and say to you, no. Let's wait. Let's wait. Ranch took a little bit longer, but they did come back.
And then you got me involved and we got on a call. And what's interesting, if anyone just looks up The Ranch, they have one in Hudson Valley and one in Malibu. And we get on a call and not very often do they partner with sort of like a third party. The Ranch hosts, so anyone can go, by the way, and go and check it out.
We'd highly recommend if anyone's in New York or Malibu, go and do one of their programs.
Yeah. We'll talk about it in a moment. But they run twice a week in New York, for example, a Thursday through to Sunday, and then a Sunday through to Thursday. And they have these recurring programs that the ranch hosts. And you go, but there's no central pillar or theme, is there?
No.
You go and you wake up early, you go on a 2 or a 4-hour hike, you do meditation, breathwork, sound bath, yoga, stretches, workout. You eat a plant-based sort of vegan diet. There's plenty of downtime. There's massages, isn't there? And there's all these extra sort of things you can book.
Yeah.
And unless they have a corporate company come and buy them out for that week, then, you know, there's not many options. So, you know, initially it was like this huge thing for us because it was like, are we Are we ready to go all in from an investment point of view and buy out the ranch?
But also for me, I think there's an element of, we're talking, this conversation would've been going on 12 months ago, probably longer. Maybe even actually when I look back at my one line a day, probably more like 14 months ago maybe. But I had still an element of work to do on myself.
Same. I did too.
Well, I had a fear of, like, if I'm being honest, we were travelling with Humphrey quite a lot at that, but it was starting to happen a lot more. However, I was like, it's going to require me to really step up here and fine-tune all the details. And also, I'm going to have to come massively out of my comfort zone. And I was not ready for that at that point, if I'm being honest. I think physically, I was still very much postpartum. It felt still very new. So I was hedging on me being fully mentally ready by that point and being good to go.
By you mean August 2026?
Yeah, I was projecting myself into the future and going, yeah, you'll be ready, you'll be fine.
So then Corisande does all this amazing work. She finds the perfect venue. We lead up to getting on this call. It's a big commitment from an investment point of view. It's like, are we ready? And And now we hold the intention that we're just going to make this work. And we did that actually back for our wedding day, didn't we? When we found this amazing venue and we had no idea how at the time back then how we'd pay for it. And we just did, didn't we? Back in 2017. This is different, but we held the intention that it would work and we found the perfect partnership to make this work. And they agreed to allow us to do what's called a buyout where as long as we sold out, We could tweak their program accordingly. So we did things like, if we give people a rundown of the sort of schedule. So we arrived on the Thursday, guests arrived at 1 o'clock, and the whole idea was it'd be people would go to their rooms and be able to enjoy the spa and the pool and the, you know, it's 200 acres. And if they wanted to book any sort of additional therapies, they could mingle with you and I. And then at 5 o'clock was my first talk of the evening, and then it was dinner. So I want people to know that on that day when they all came, you've got 32 people that all know you and I in some capacity, whether that's been a private coaching client, whether they came to my Omega workshop a year ago, perhaps they were part of the Beyond community. But apart from either arriving on their own Or with a friend or spouse. They didn't know anyone else, did they?
Yeah.
So what was that first evening like? Would you agree that it was great, but there was no sort of synergy between the group, was there, on that first day?
Well, I think when you arrive with anything, I think everyone's definitely got their guard up.
Yes.
And I think people are very private, understandably. And so there is an element of just wanting to Probably, I would imagine, and I got the— I very much got the feeling from everyone speaking to them, uh, but when they arrived and then when they left, that everyone was sort of just like, I'm just here for my own experience, just want to have my own time, take what I can and kind of leave. So, you could really feel that, that people were there for you, wanted to be there to meet you, but, but equally, they were on their own journey. They weren't necessarily wanting to have like a group experience.
Right.
'Cause there was enough downtime. If you wanted to be super private, you could have been. You could have, yeah. So, you could choose how you wanted to do it. And if I'm honest, when we landed in New York, my sole focus, which by the way, I'm not gonna claim I did this without any help. So, we flew my mum out there, my amazing mum, who's incredible, who Humphrey just adores. And we— so, I had help, and obviously that's 'cause I'm working, I'm a working mum. I'm not just like, it wasn't like my trip. So, I was like, I don't know how this is all, all I'm thinking about is the guests having the most amazing experience, making sure they have everything they need, focusing on the fact that they've got all the individual intricate details that I've thought of and we've thought of together, and that the programme works and that you've got enough time and space. So, that was my sole purpose and focus.
And you did a great job.
But I wasn't thinking that we were going to take anything from it, as much as we did anyway.
And then, so on the Then the Friday and Saturday were, which was, I think people are initially thinking, wow, being woken up at 5:45, but the ranch went round. It's this big house built by JP Morgan like 100 years ago as a wedding gift for his daughter.
Which I think I'd take, by the way.
Yes, I think, yeah, absolutely.
I'd take that wedding gift.
And, you know, it was renovated a few years ago to what it is now. So the ranch go round and they wake everyone up with these bells in the morning. And we met at 6:15. In the sort of, they call it the sports hall though. I mean, you can't call it that.
It's so beautiful.
It's like a former, I think, ballroom.
Yeah.
And Corisande and I, your mom and Humphrey were staying in the guest house about a quarter of a mile down the track. And it was just like a mini version of the main house, like a cabin in the woods. And they said, just beware of the bears. And they'd come and pick us up in the morning, wouldn't they? And do this sort of class, then we'd have breakfast. And then on that first day, we went for a 2-hour hike and something started to click. There was just this connection that I noticed straight away. We came back, we had my first workshop at 10:30 about obviously manifestation, and then, then there was this downtime, this sort of— and I was a bit worried about would it— would a 6-hour downtime, uh, be too long? But actually everyone loved it because everyone every day got a massage. Every day you could pay for these additional sessions. I had one on the 8th of August, 8/8, which was, um, the Akashic Records reading, which perhaps I might talk about in a moment, which was absolutely utterly mind-blowing. And a lot of people had other sessions and therapies too. Then we met at 6 o'clock for my evening talk. Then we'd have dinner, wouldn't we, on this beautiful long table in this sunroom overlooking the lake and the, you know, the 200 acres. And there was just this synergy that started to form. And then we'd gather in the living room in the evening with our sort of herbal tea. And we'd share sort of stories. And then I'm sure you'll agree on the Saturday, again, it just started to, it was like tick-tock. It was just this rhythm. It's the only way I could just, would you agree that people were chatting? People were like, it was like, surely these people have known each other for years.
Well, I'd walk into rooms and, or I'd be like looking out and I'd see groups of people together and I'd be like, oh my, this is like amazing because I don't think I think it was really exciting, the type of people that people were meeting and connecting with, and relationships were being formed. And I actually—
Mm-hmm.
So, a lot of, like, the evening was just so, like, honestly, it was just amazing. And it's a memory that will, I think, will live with me forever. But there was, like, a kind of, well, it was like a living room, like a really lovely living room. that was so big and beautiful, and it overlooked the lake, and it was like, just in terms of how it'd been designed and decorated and everything, it had been so beautifully done. But that room, if I'm being honest, when we initially walked into it, like, how— I know it sounds silly, but how I imagined when they took us around when we first had this tour, it was like, you know, you'd walk into a room if you were doing a viewing, like a house viewing, and you'd go, I don't know what I'm gonna do with this room, 'cause it feels quite big and overwhelming.
Yeah.
in terms of, like, the space, but the energy that was in there when everyone was together, and, like, the feeling of, like, everyone just sitting, like, with their, like, mugs of, like, lovely herbal tea, and, like, just sitting around chatting on these beautiful sofas with books, and, like, it was just, like, amazing. When everyone gets together, like, at Christmas, that type of thing, it was just, like, such an amazing feeling.
And people that, you know, aren't used to ever speaking in front of groups were coming out and feeling that themselves, weren't they? And just feeling how great they felt to have the confidence to share their stories. But Cora-san and I deliberately didn't change the menu. The ranch are plant-based, vegan. There was protein, there was chicken, there was salmon some of the evenings, but it was a very healthy sort of service of food. And we could have changed it if we wanted to, but we sort of said this time, let's just trust they've got amazing chefs that know what they're doing. And I just felt super clean, obviously eating that week, and it made me feel really good.
But they also, what made it amazing was they were the most incredible team of people.
They were.
They were just so talented, all of them. The whole team at the ranch were amazing. I don't think I've ever really come across a group of people that were so warm, friendly.
I'd go just for that, would you?
Yeah, I mean, they were incredible.
They were.
They were absolutely, I've never experienced a level of service like that.
And then on the Saturday, this is where it all started to click.
Yeah.
Now, I mentioned that I had my Akashic Records read. And you know this story, I'll keep it brief because I think it's important. This was after a session that I'd done. I did a session in the morning where I revealed a formula which isn't in my book and I haven't really taught anywhere else before. And it's a little bit like a map that I've discovered which helps you understand and work out the probability of your manifestation coming and what you need to do. It literally is, once you know it, it's like having your own personal map to understanding how you get to your future. And after this session, I had my Akashic Records read, which for anyone who's new to that concept, there is in the Akasha, in the ether, there is the Akashic Records where your records can be read and therefore someone can access and get all the data and information from your past lives, get information from your consciousness and your higher self in terms of this incarnation and your soul and what you're here for, what your mission is. And it's just something that fascinated me. But in the program, it said energy alignment reading. It didn't say Akashic reading until another guest had it and told me. And I was like, oh my God, sign me up. I've got to do it. Long story short, my mind was completely blown. I'd recommend anyone have an Akashic reading if they can find anyone locally or even online to do it. And it turns out that when she, in this one-to-one session, open my records and asked for permission. She was truly extraordinary. She opened them and tuned into a past life of mine, and she tuned into a life of mine in the 16th century when I was in Portugal. And, you know, she didn't know who I was. She didn't know I was here. Never met her before. She'd never met me. And she said, wow, I'm picking up here that in the 16th century you were You made maps, physical maps. And I said, what for? And she said, you made maps because you had a fascination for what was beyond the oceans. And you were fascinated to see what was beyond what your eyes could see. And you used the stars and astrology to— and I've just had a realization in real time actually— to navigate the oceans. And you created these maps to help. people navigate the oceans to find new lands essentially using astrology. And that's what you did. You helped people find gold across the sea. You created maps to the future. And here I am literally reflecting in real time that I'm here on the 8th of August, which is the Lionsgate portal. We're using astrology literally, and I've just come out of a session literally where I've taught someone a formula, how to essentially use a map to navigate not ocean waves but the quantum waves to go and create their future. I've just had, literally here as I'm sat here now, a realization. And whenever you have your past life read, or if you have a past life regression, without going too deep, in theory, because time's very loose and it doesn't really exist, you could tune into any lifetime. And, you know, I may have lived several lifetimes After that life in Portugal in the 16th century.
Yeah.
And I didn't put 2 and 2 together until I'm talking to you now. So when you have a reading, you tune into a life and it could be a life from 1,000 years ago, it could be a life from 400, 500 years ago, like in my case now. What I didn't realize until right now is often what happens when you tune into a past life, you tune into the life, it's all about resonance and frequency. So you're tuning into a life based on the frequency that you're in right now in the present moment. So of course, it makes sense to me. There I am with her. I'm here on the 8th of August. We're talking about the Lionsgate portal, the Star of Sirius. I'm helping people navigate astrology. I've created a map to the future, and she's literally tuned into a life, a life on that same frequency that in theory could be happening in that very moment. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But from 500 years ago. She didn't tune into the life That you did, you know, the past life regression you did, which is another conversation perhaps from 100 years ago.
Yeah.
So I think people should note that, that often when you tune into a past life, it's the one thing that always confused me, that you often tune into a life based on the frequency that you're in now. And I won't go into it in any more detail, but she— I met you in that lifetime. You lived on, you know, um, other lands, and you were a dancer, and you embodied, you know, um—
But I can't dance now, so I've obviously not brought— obviously I haven't brought this. To this side.
I will always bring the softer side to the seriousness. Um, and yeah, it was fascinating. And whenever you have your Akash Records read or a past life read, you know, you'll always get insight. So I was able to ask some personal questions about this lifetime now, um, what perhaps my shadows were in that life that I was unconscious to, that perhaps I'm trying to learn right now in this life. So, so that was truly fascinating. And then So we wrapped up the Saturday evening, was truly magnetic, wasn't it?
Yeah, but of course, I was observing this all through the back lens. So Matt's like in it, he's there, you know, and I have to say, you know, it's the most incredible thing, but there's a hell of a lot of energy that you have to hold during that time. So I'm trying to hold space and energy for you and making sure that while you aren't able to, you know, maybe talk to certain guests or whatever, I'm able to fill that space. So, it's very much a co-creation between the two of us, me watching kind of what you're doing and where needs holding. But, you know, I'm watching the energy behind the scenes, and I'm watching things grow, and how people are just opening up, and the lightness of people. In fact, people would joke, but I'd come in in the morning and be like, you look so relaxed, you all look great, 'cause there was just this feeling of like you'd stepped into a bubble.
Yeah.
Because it is like a bubble there. Like, I genuinely was like, I've moved in, I'm quite happy, like, just leave me here. Like, it was just such a lovely, lovely, lovely feeling and lovely energy. Um, but then why don't you talk about— so, you know, everything's going amazingly well, we've got all these amazing experiences, but why don't you talk about the final night?
So yeah, just a quick one. I find it amazing how many people are totally unaware that Corisande and I have our own manifestation community called the Beyond Community. We launched it in early 2023. 2026, and it is by far one of the best apps that I personally use every single day. And I know if you've got a dream, you are going to love this community. I'm not here to sell you the resources, but just know that if you want to be in the best place to help you get towards whatever it is that you're seeking to manifest, you're going to absolutely love everything that's in this community, all the resources and all the people. So if you just look in the show notes below, you're gonna see a link to a 7-day free trial. Just come on in, check us out, check out everything that we have to offer. And if for whatever reason this community isn't for you, no hard feelings. You can leave anytime within that 7 days. But if you have got a dream and you'd love all the help to get you there, you're gonna absolutely love it. And with that said, back to the episode. What Coruscant's really good at And I'm so blessed to have you. You give me the space to be the teacher and not have to worry about Humphrey. So you're very good at balancing, making sure the guests are being looked after, but then also being a mom and daughter and wife at the same time, which is massively appreciated.
Thank you.
So a lot of the meditations that I did, I specifically found music. I didn't just go online and download free music that AI had designed. I really channeled channeled intuitively music that I thought would be right. And there were 2 or 3 meditations every day. And everyone said to me, can you send me the meditation music? And I found a composer who spent years writing different pieces of music. One was called Astral Voices, and it was designed to get you in and out of different brainwaves. And it was just truly, truly magnetic. And I always know what meditation I'm doing, but I I always allow the script to come to me.
So there's no script?
There's no script at all. For example, we'll talk about this before we move on to the most amazing part. The last meditation on the Saturday night, which was the peak of the Lionsgate 8/8, was my 9 square. I've never done this meditation before, and this was coming into my 6 o'clock workshop. And at 5 o'clock, we had a sound bath, Session first.
So good.
Wasn't it? So that was a session that the ranch put on, which I kept in the program. So we had a massage, we both had a massage before. I fell asleep. Yeah, we had a massage before. Then we went straight into our sound bath. Cora was next to me and she started to snore. Didn't you?
Luckily, I wasn't the only person. That would have been horrendous.
There were a few other snorers. And we're having this sound bath and I'm there knowing at 6 o'clock, I've now got to lead this final workshop, but also the night 9-square meditation. And that's all I knew, 9-square meditation. And my whole idea when I was sort of planning it was that if anyone's done my Lionsgate training or done my 9 squares, the whole idea in a nutshell is that I help people create 9 intentions for the next 12 months, 9 manifestations that they're going to manifest. And each one through numerology represents a different area of your life, doesn't it? So travel, health, communication, foundation, spirituality, abundance, new beginnings, completion, change, trust, Those sorts of things. And you intuitively, over a period of time, find those intentions. And I just had this idea to just do that meditation. And I'm in the sound bath first. And I had this, just, it just came to me with the music, just lead people down a staircase, get them to open a door and go into their first box, their first intention, spend about a minute or so in that intention. And then just like New Year's Eve into New Year's Day, if anyone does this, we do it in the UK, it's called bringing the new year in. So you sort of, my dad used to do it as a kid, he'd open the front door and he'd walk the new year through the house and out through the back door. And I had this idea of almost going and taking these intentions through each door. So you do your box 1, which was your first intention, your first manifestation, then you go into your box 2, And all the way through to Box 9. And just before this workshop was about to start, I don't know why, but intuitively something sort of said to me, just walk around the house, like go up the staircase, even though we weren't staying in the house and just walk around. And as I walked around, I bumped into a guy called Baden who worked for the Rocks.
Oh, he's amazing.
He was just the loveliest guy. And he said to me, Matt, are you all set for your workshop? Starting in a sort of few minutes. I said, yeah. He said, ah, you know, it would be cool, wouldn't it, if we could do a fire ceremony? And I said, yeah. And he said, yeah, we did one not long ago. It was like a release ceremony. He said—
They don't come in with the golden nuggets the right moment.
But of course the universe planted it. And he said, it's raining outside, so why don't I just phone into maintenance and just check that we can light the fire in the ballroom. Now, just so people know, if the ballroom— there's this huge inglenook fireplace, isn't there? Massive.
I've never seen anything like it.
You know what I was thinking? I sort of, when I thought it, I thought, is this ever lit? You know, because it's so, so big. And just before the workshop was about to start, like seconds before, he just gave me the thumbs up and he said, yeah, we can do it. And I had this idea that I'd, in that meditation in the living room, guide everyone through their their 9 squares, their 9 boxes. And as they got to the 9th square in that meditation, the idea was that as they finished a square, they'd open a door and they'd go into another. But as we're in the 9th square, so they're now manifesting and visualizing their 9th manifestation, I said to them all, right now, come out of this meditation, but stay. You're staying in box 9. And box 9, I want you to imagine is the ballroom, which is next door. And before you leave Box 9, which is you open the door into this new year, this new life, you've got to release something. You've got to let go of something. So what happened? What did we do? How did we navigate that?
What was great is, so just by the way, so I'm kind of—
Oh, you're doing it too though, aren't you? Chorus sounds like you're doing this.
I'm joining in, but I'm like, this is bloody good.
Yeah, you're joining in, right?
This is really good. But also, like, taking, like, notes for, like, next year. And, yeah, Matt got everyone to stand up, like, everyone just followed. It was so, like, you could have dropped a pin. There was no noise, everyone was deep in it, like, the focus and concentration of everyone, everyone was absolutely on it. And we walked into this gorgeous room, which is panelled, it's, the ceilings are high. I've never been in a room so beautiful, and the energy in there is great. Everyone stood in a queue, like a line. It was just the power. And each person, like, you know, we've got like 34 people, what, 33? Yeah, 32 people.
34 including us.
Yes, all standing in a line. You know, the team are there as well.
Music's playing.
Music's playing. It's really loud. It's just the energy. And every person steps up to the fire that is just going and throws in Something they're going to release, a letter or— And I'm something, so I'm there just hilariously, like, I'm like content. So I'm like content mode, like making sure we're capturing elements of this, mainly as a, if I'm being honest, to remember it, actually not to put it anywhere, to remember the feeling of it. But as I'm behind the camera, like, and this doesn't happen to me very often, 'cause I'm not like a hugely emotional person, I'm just like, my eyes are filled with tears because I'm physically watching each person who's in this that we've created. And truly, people are walking up together and holding hands. And it was just like the most— like, I'm actually emotional thinking about it now. Like, the most beautiful thing I've— it's gorgeous.
It was.
And watching everyone walk, like, really, like, release what they were holding on to, leave the room, And, like, I just don't think I'll ever, like, forget that. And then, like, walking back into— like, Matt and I were the last people. We did ours together. And it really felt like— I don't know whether you felt it as well, because I can remember, obviously, what I put in there, but I really felt like we let go of old Matt and Corisande.
Well, I think there was just this— there was this energy before we all lined where everyone— we spent about 5, 10 minutes. Everyone was there. The music was playing. Everyone was writing out.
It was gorgeous.
And there was no intent other than, like, what— what do you not want to take into the next 12 months? What do you want to release? What do you want to say goodbye to? Perhaps it's a fear around money, a fear in general. I think everyone carries some form of fear for sure. And we sat and we wrote it. And yeah, as you threw it in, there's this beautiful act, isn't there, when you— and like you say, we were last.
Cements it, doesn't it, in a way?
Well, it quite literally, it burns it. It's a very real release. There's no better way of I always say actually that one of the best ways to manifest is to write. You know, that's why gratitude and journaling is so good, that you're taking a thought from your brain and you're actually physically collapsing that energy into the ink, the particle. And it's tangible, it's real. If no one's journaling, they should for that very reason. You are creating physical reality. So then the act of releasing the writing is the very reverse of that.
And then we all walked kind of out into this hallway, didn't we? And background and into the living room.
So it was like that, leaving that ballroom door.
Yeah.
Corisande and I were the last to leave Box 9, walk all the way around. Everyone's in there, and it's like quiet.
Yeah, but for me, like a realization that when we walked back in, that I was like, this is what I'd envisaged, and it's happening. And I'm really proud of what we created there. I think that So there was a moment where, cut to the day we left.
The Sunday. So we had that, we had the most amazing meal, didn't we?
It was the most incredible evening, and an evening I'll never forget. In fact, just the whole few days. And I just want to quickly say, for anyone who came to the ranch who's listening now, like, as you said, you're the OGs. Yeah, thank you for trusting us. We love you all so much. But just, you know, very, very Briefly. So, when we said goodbye to everyone, which, by the way, it felt like I actually felt withdrawal symptoms. I felt that sad about waving everyone goodbye, because it was just like this big family that we created.
Mm-hmm.
But I decided to do something which I don't— Humphrey was asleep. So, I was like, this is perfect, because I can just quickly whip round and just do a few final, like, just saying goodbye and just thank you to the house and everything. And the room that felt most alive, which I was most concerned about because it was so big, was the living room. It felt— it was the room where we shared everything. It was the energy in there at night with the candles going and everyone in there. It felt like the warmest place, but where every possibility was possible, where everything that maybe you were dreaming of could happen.
Mm-hmm.
And, and we created this strength in that room. And when no one was there, the curtains were open, the light was all in, it was daytime, and I was walking in and none of the people that were there were in there. It felt so empty.
Yeah.
And the energy had left. And I realised that, you know, we'd created this warmth in this place, and it was just amazing.
I had this itch. That, you know, I of course now take this work around the world and I do workshops and I've felt it in Stockholm with 300 people. I've felt it in Romania, in Bucharest with a few hundred people, and I felt it with 30 people intimately. And I'm sure if anyone's listening who's been to a retreat knows exactly what we're talking about, but I wondered whether there was some form of science I'm always looking for, I suppose my brain's so curious, isn't it, to try and figure out why. But as we said at the beginning, you have 32 people that arrive as strangers to everyone else, and they leave as a, whether you want to literally call it like a family, that's exactly how it felt. It felt like people were reconnecting after not seeing family for years. You know when you reunite with family that you haven't seen or friends for years and you just hit it straight off?
Yeah.
That's the only word. And people from all different walks of life, from all over America, Europe, felt like one coherent symphony, rhythm, family that people didn't want to leave. And then we created in, obviously most people know this, we have a community called the Beyond Community and people were thinking, well, how can we keep in contact? And we created a group, didn't we, for everyone that came to the ranch. But I was thinking there has to be an energy for this because ordinarily would these people connect in a normal setting? The one thing of course is there was the common ground, the commonality that even the ranch said, because they run these retreats every week for themselves, if there's not a buyout and there's no central pillar or theme, people are often going to the ranch who are complete strangers, but then there's not a central element to it. So there's often with the ranch a disconnect if you're going with random people because there's no— people aren't going for, let's say, to see an author or to see a manifestation coach. Obviously they had that common ground. They were all coming for that reason. So there was that straight away, which of course is important. But there was definitely a tick-tock rhythm, like a— Like a clock. Yeah. People were bouncing off each other. that was it. People were bouncing and sharing ideas and then having epiphanies and breakthroughs. And it was literally like a clock. And I was really scratching my head and thinking there has to be something beyond this, literally. And when I did some research back in, again, the 16th century, the person, I think his name was Christian. I can't think of his surname. 1665, I want to say he was the the creator of the pendulum clock. And he was sick in bed one day, and he was staring at 2 pendulum clocks that were positioned and connected to one wooden beam or support. And he noticed that these clocks were working in perfect rhythm. But complete opposite. So the tick-tock, tick-tock, tick, literally just like a perfect rhythm, perfect symphony. And he thought, why is that happening? So he'd mix them up, he'd throw one off, and then the other one would be chaotic. And then within 15 minutes, they would be back to the tick-tock, tick-tock. And for 3 centuries, they couldn't work out why. They didn't know why pendulum clocks did that until they then realized that tiny, tiny energetic vibrations produced by the pendulum itself would send energy and vibrations across the support beam that it's on, down that timber to the other clock. And then the energy transferred from one clock to the other would then create the rhythm back. That's amazing.
Yeah.
And then that clock would send vibrations back And eventually what you have is you have that movement of energy. Tick, tock.
Yeah.
Now, if we are scientifically energy at our core and we are vibrational beings, that's what we are. It's an illusion to believe we're solid in any respect. We are energy vibrating at different frequencies. We all come together for one common ground. We share a house. We're sharing floorboards.
Of course, it's—
We're meditating on the same meditation music.
Yeah.
We're doing the same routine, we're eating the same food. Do you think over a period of 24 to 48 hours, people can start—
Absolutely. And doesn't that just show that if you're in an environment where the energy is off, why it affects you so much?
Yes.
Because this is why it is so important about where you place your energy, who you place it, who you invest your energy in. Because even though you might not think that, you know, being around someone who is energy draining or is an energy thief isn't going to affect you, it is, particularly if you're in direct contact with this person. It's so, so important that you really find a way to, you know, it's the same if someone has great energy, like, you know, beyond the frequency of that, you know, I think There's something so powerful about, I think the motto of the story is that I think what we walked away from with this, and I hope people have got a taste listening to this. I hope you've got your earphones in, that you feel like you've been transported.
We have to go to a retreat of Matt and Cora Sands.
Yeah, basically, this is gonna be a, definitely gonna be a regular thing. And at the moment I'm in talks with some amazing places, but, you know, there is going to be, they are always going to be intimate. They are going to be limited spaces. And we are going to have a waitlist because we do want this to feel special. Yeah, truly, truly special. To be able to work with some of the best hotels, companies, spaces in the world, we've got to be able to make this seriously special.
Did you know that on October 3rd and 4th, 2026, I'm going to be live in Barcelona hosting a 2-day manifestation workshop? And for the first time ever, I haven't taught this in the detail that I'm going to teach it in October. I'm revealing a formula and a map that is going to help you understand the probability of actually manifesting the very thing that you're looking to manifest. This isn't a generic tool that you're going to go away and use. This is going to be specific for your own manifestation. This is something that I've been researching throughout 2026. This hasn't been taught by any other teacher on the planet when it comes to this formula that I'm teaching. And there are certain areas of this formula that will help you understand exactly what you need to personally work on in order to increase the likelihood and probability of the very thing that you're manifesting. And with that said, it's a deep dive over 2 days about everything I know about manifestation. As well as being in a room with hundreds of like-minded people. And we all know that when people come together, there's a very real thing called collective energy that amplifies your own intention. So that is October 3rd and 4th in Barcelona this year, 2026. The link to come and buy your tickets is below in the show notes. And if you can make it, I'm gonna love to see you there live this October. Anyway, back to the show. You and I always try and pride ourselves on being as authentic as we possibly can.
Yeah.
There's— we just like nice things in life. And that's okay. Like, we like going to nice places. We like, you know, we like spending our money on nice things. And we talk really openly about that. And, you know, look, you know, I think it's inauthentic for Corisande and I to host a retreat somewhere that we wouldn't go ourselves.
No, and these are places that we've either been to, or will go to, or have some involvement with, you know, because it's not just for me, it isn't just the place has got to look good, the food's got to be amazing, you know, I want the whole experience, the wellness there, the spa there, you know, this is my end of the business here.
Yeah.
And what I bring to this is making sure that I want people to come, And feel like they have truly had some form of escapism for the few days they've been with us, and that what they've experienced isn't a retreat, it's a feeling, and it's an energy, and it's a frequency that they've managed to be on for those few days that they've been a part of it. And that means bringing every single element together, because even though I do believe that it is the people that are with you and not the energy, what does help is being in a space that makes you feel feel truly expansive. And that's part of being able to dream and being able to visualize and being able to really move to that next level, which is what we're here to do, is to help you do that. You have to be on a frequency that makes you dream and makes you believe and makes you feel that energy. And I'm a great believer that I think that starts with the environment you're in. So these are—
Well, now we know, literally the environment.
It's been proven, it's been proven, you know. And these are people that, you know, incredibly successful in their field, And I think it's truly inspiring to see them all coming together. But I just think it was a complete win.
Yeah. Well, I think also another thing I want to just say here too, which I think is really important, especially if you're manifesting with a partner. Obviously, Cora-Sanne and I manifest together. We have a lot of things we manifest independently too. And an area that you've openly admitted that you've struggled with up until probably the last few months is where you fit into this, you know, in terms of like, you know, I always said to you, you are not the background person, you're not the unseen artist, you're really creative, you're really clever at what you do. I'm not, I'm not the creative, you are.
And I think as well, you know, that also comes down to the fact that I've made peace with it now. Like, I'm not bothered now, but I think there was an element of me that, you know, obviously if people come up to you or if people comment on anything, they're commenting on what you've done, whereas normally a lot of hard work behind the scenes that I've done And it's actually about claiming that myself and saying, like, I know what I've done. I don't need anyone else to, like, validate, justify, comment, like, give me compliments. I know what I'm doing. And it's being okay sometimes in that space that you're— you know what you're doing, and to be strong enough to say, I know what I'm creating here, and I don't need anyone else to validate that. But I don't think I had that 12 months ago.
Yeah.
I think I felt the need to, like, justify or validate what I was doing. Whereas I think now I'm very much in my own space that I'm really in my creative era. And I'm, I'm really loving that.
What I was gonna say though, is it's even with this podcast that we're doing right now. Yeah, even with these retreats, the events, it's very obvious now where you fit in. And I just knew, like a year ago, or 18 months ago, when you launched your Instagram and you started getting out there, you know, when you sort of said, yep, Matt, you're right. I'm not, I'm not the background person. I'm not the unseen artist. I am a working female entrepreneur and I've got a mission, but Matt, where do I fit in here? And I just said, trust me, I know this will all work out. I can't see it right now, but it will. And I think as long as you know you're on a path and you stick to that path, the one thing that will throw you off that path is Fear is questioning the path, is trying to figure it out. And it's frustrating because for you, you're someone that intuitively embodies emotionally your future. You, you feel where you should be way before you can see it. I'm, I'm the opposite in a sense. I don't necessarily feel it as much as you do. I just know it and sense it. And I know if we're on the path. And it's amazing how if you just keep trusting and you really caught yourself every time your mind would slip to, how do I fit in? What is my role? And you brought yourself back and you kept trusting. And eventually the path reveals itself to a point where now I'm still the coach and the teacher, which is what I love. And you are our creative director. You are the creative director of this business. You are the reason this podcast looks the way it does. And I think on that note too, we've made some pretty tough decisions with this podcast. Just so people know, we film here in central London. We live in Cornwall. We're here today for a solo episode of Coruscant and I. We have a studio in the garden, like a what, 30-second walk from our house. But we got up early. We left our house at 6:30. We got the 9:00 AM train from Halfway, and then we're here in London for 11 AM for a few hours, and then we're back and we're back at 11 o'clock tonight. And the reason we're here is because we know that we cannot create the quality that we can create in this, if you saw what was behind the camera, this like professional, high quality grade studio. Our studio's just not built for that.
But also, yeah, it's not just our studio, it's people having the ability to be able to create it.
Right, yeah.
If I'm being honest. And that comes down to whether you can create it or not, and it hasn't been able to be created. And I strive for perfection.
We do. And I think we—
And so do you. And I think that's just a level of what you and I are, we know what we're aiming for. And I actually think, for anyone that's— I had quite a lot of people say to me, it must be so amazing to have the visuals on your meditation, how incredible. And I went, it's so funny you say that because in one way it's incredible, but in the other it's really hard. Because sometimes I have this vision and I take off my eye mask and I'm literally like, why am I not there now? The frustration that kicks in, it's like an instant.
The kickstart.
I'll see this vision of, right, I know exactly what's gotta happen here, here, and here. That's gotta change. that, that, that person, that's not working there. Like, we've got to do this, blah, blah, blah, blah. Matt's like in total agreement, like, yeah, you're absolutely right, I was thinking this too. Like, we're on the same, we're on the same path. And that's— this is why we work so well together as, as business partners, not just as husband and wife, because we literally, we think the same with things like this. And, and then I'm like, I need to be there now.
Now.
Like, well, and I'm the patient one. Yeah, Matt's so patient, like, so methodical. I have zero— I think I've said this before— zero patience with anything. This is being in the car, slow drivers, anything. I am so impatient. So I've really had to really curb this energy. It helps in some ways because I will not stop. But yeah, the level of impatience is hysterical. So I'll see this amazing vision, I'm like, I need that in this moment now.
Yeah, you see the vision.
Click of the fingers.
And then the job is to take the action to embody the vision. So you saw super high quality podcast. And okay, well, we tried it in our studio. It didn't work because it wasn't built for that. It's too light.
But I think also we filmed 3 and we're like, these aren't good enough.
Yeah, we filmed 2, we paid for them, we had them edited and we made the decision not to use them. Like we strive for perfection in what we do, but actually you don't need to be perfect because when we first started out, we started with just our, my iPhone, didn't we? We made the effort though to just go and film in nice locations and wear decent clothing. But I think the one thing I would say is the sort of trick to this, I think, is so simple. It's consistency.
Yeah, but never authentically change who you are. No, you know, be authentic about that. And I think, you know, Matt and I will always be authentic about what we love. And really, everything we do cater to a version of ourselves really in the past and now in the future as well, imagining that we're like Matt and Corisande, what would they want? What would they be looking to experience? And I think doing that, you end up pleasing so many more people.
You do. And also, I think the one thing I've noticed when I spoke about, I've spoken about this in a newsletter that that's coming out soon, which is what I call like the edge or the bleeding edge.
Yeah.
And, you know, I've noticed it in ourselves, but, you know, I've had the pleasure of working with some truly unbelievable, extraordinary people over the last sort of 7 years of doing this work, you know, from all walks of life, chefs, entrepreneurs, actors, actresses, authors, you know, business owners, you name them, I've sort of worked with them. And some of them we call really close friends, and they all have, whether they know it consciously or not, they're all manifesting for sure because they're all defined by a vision. But the one commonality, and I'm always looking for that, is they always have a relationship with the bleeding edge. And the bleeding edge shouldn't be as scary as that sounds.
No, absolutely.
It's just that they're willing at all times to push themselves beyond the edge into— the reason it's called the bleeding edge is because it sounds so sort of scary, but it's not. And they sort of unconsciously, in a sense, constantly do that. Every time you look at them and go, Why do you need more? Or, you know, and a lot of the time it's not even to do with ego. It's just that they know that there's more out there, more impact that they can have, you know? And I think one of the, one things that we often say to ourselves, and you say to me all the time, is, Matt, you're comfortable. You need to throw yourself back into the unknown. And we're constantly doing that. Like, it's, if you and I ever get too comfortable, you often say to me, I do. Matt, you need to, you need to drop a day.
Yeah, like, this is a slight segue here, but when we— so when we left the ranch, there were some quite big decisions that we've been making over the last few months, which people will see at some stage. And I, when we left and we arrived at this beautiful hotel and we were like, right, we're gonna have some, a little bit of downtime now. I went down to the spa in the hotel and we were sat like talking, weren't we? And I had this like overwhelming, 'cause like, One of the— when Matt had the reading, one of the things the lady actually did point out about me is that I feel all my kind of intuition and everything through my body. And that really makes sense, actually, 'cause I always feel nervous before something, not necessarily bad, something really good's happening. And I just sat in the pool and I was like, I feel so nervous. And I know it's because I know the minute we get really, really comfortable, I know something. A voice comes in and it says it's time to move.
Time to change.
Time to change. It's time to go, guys.
What did we then see?
Huge change and 555 everywhere. And ridiculously, I felt nervous because I knew that we were moving again and it felt really, really good, but equally really scary at the same time. And I think this is just something worth Noting for anyone that's maybe making a decision right now, or maybe sitting on something they're not quite sure of, there may be a part of you that feels really, really, really nervous. And you're sitting with, do I move from where I feel comfortable to something that is unknown? And I think how the only way you can answer that is through, truly through your body, because very often a feeling of nerves can be confused as something not great, but actually it very often is your body's way of just dealing with change and acknowledging it. And I think it's actually a really exciting thing. Change is amazing and change should be just so welcomed with open arms because I think it's a real sign of expansion.
And also, I think you're absolutely right going back to what I said about the bleeding edge or the edge beyond the edge being the unknown.
Yeah, that's such a great way of—
I often say this, and it's true that it's just this reminder that You know, resonate with why we were afraid to go beyond the edge. We're programmed to stay safe. Our ancestors were experts at that because they literally needed to survive.
Yeah.
Everything was dangerous. We don't live in that world right now where there's wild animals that can attack us in every corner. You know, we were programmed to stay in our cave and, but we haven't changed fundamentally. Our brain hasn't really changed that much. And, you know, the unknown, what we can't see. People know I say this all the time, but here's the reminder again. What we cannot see or perceive with our senses is over 99.9% of the truth of reality. The truth is we're seeing a sliver of the truth, and our program and our brain is living within the constraints of that, the sliver. And I think when you push yourself beyond, literally miracles happen. Like, And just know it from Cora-san and I, we're just 2 normal people that constantly push ourselves because that intelligence that's there in the unknown is so real, so loving by its nature. If you have the quality of intent to push into the unknown, not for egoic reasons, but to change something, to help humanity, to change lives, to have impact, it won't— this is a whole other conversation, but it can't—
No.
Not help you.
And I think when you do that, yeah, it makes you feel safe and supported.
Safe. And our friends and these people that we've been blessed to meet along the way, whether they know that consciously or not, with the right intention, they, even though they'll have huge fear around what they're doing prior to going into it, it always works out every single time. And perhaps what they'll talk about as they're about to cross the edge sounds terrifying.
Well, I had conversations when I was at the ranch. Yeah, you know, and it's inspiring because you realise that to achieve the extraordinary, it requires a level of trust far beyond like anything really that you can see.
I completely agree. And I think if anyone's listening to this right now, and they know that there's an edge that they need to push past, Try it. Because in my opinion, and I'm sure you'll agree, that the worst pill to swallow in life is one of regret. I always think if I push beyond this edge into the unknown, and for whatever reason we're not supported, for whatever reason, you know, if fear wants that voice, then sometimes I'm like, okay, go there. What are you afraid of? Well, what if it doesn't work out? What if actually we get burned? What if we spend a ton of money and don't get it back? Whatever that fear might be. Okay, have it. Have a voice in the room. But let me ask you this, fear or Myrtle or that name of that voice. What if you don't do it?
How are you feeling?
What if your life stays the same? What if actually it all works out? Because it's the unknown, the future exists in what's called superposition possibility. It's unrendered. So with the right intent, you can render it, but also this, That, okay, fear, you can win this for a moment. If it doesn't work out and you fail like you think you might, then isn't that better than wondering? Wondering if it could have worked and regretting not trying? Because I know, and of course we all fail at things, we all do things that don't work, but every single failure that you and I've ever had, I look back and I say, The lessons though, because the moment you remove emotion from a memory of the past, it's wisdom. And wisdom is what takes you forward. And that's what so many people do. And I think if someone's listening to this right now, go beyond your edge. Not that this is a sales pitch or anything else, because we don't, we're not like that. But, you know, our next in-person workshop where people are coming together. It's not a retreat, it's a workshop, is in Barcelona this year, 2026, October 3rd and 4th. The details will be, will be below, um, on the description, the show notes. And that's a 2-day in-person manifestation workshop live with me. There's going to be hundreds of people there. The energy in that space is going to be unreal. But this is the first time that in a space like this I'm taking it over 2 days. And for the first time, we'll be talking about all of this, but really sharing that map that I spoke about, that formula that I've created that helps people understand exactly how they can manifest the thing that they desire and the exact steps they need to take. And it's completely unique to that individual listening. This is a map that's your own map. It's not a generic thing you read in a book. Once you know your map, you'll know exactly how you get there. So that's what I wanted to say. And then just before we wrap this, I mean, yeah, just we started with New York and I think we'll finish with New York. The last, when we went back into the city after being in the Hudson Valley, we stayed at, is it Fouquet's?
It's Fouquet's, yeah.
Fouquet's, which if anyone's been in Tribeca, go. It's an amazing hotel, isn't it? We want to live there.
Yeah, pretty much moving in there, I think.
We went to the Balloon Museum with Humphrey, which made us cry actually.
Oh yeah, I think—
It was so emotional.
I think you've got my heart.
New York's definitely got Coruscant's heart. There'll be some manifestations perhaps in that direction, I think. If you're obviously in New York, please go over to SoHo and try Café Paradiso. the best coffees in the world, in my opinion.
Yeah.
And obviously Dante. And from the bottom of our hearts, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thank you.
We appreciate you listening. And like I said, if you're not already subscribed, please do, because that small thing will make a big difference to this platform and this channel and just the people we can reach with this conversation. And with that said, we'll see you in another solo episode soon. Take care.
