How To Silence Your Busy Mind In Minutes (We Tested The Tools)

Matt Cooke and Corisande demo daily tools for a quieter mind: a structured journal with gratitude and affirmations, the 4-7-8 breathing technique, the Muse 2 headband for real-time brainwave feedback, and the Nova LED eye-mask for meditation. They argue manifestation is becoming the person you are, not chasing specific outcomes.

We don't manifest into our life what we want. We manifest into our life who we're being.
The work isn't the manifestation. The work is who you become in the process of achieving it.
What happens when we get knocked off or if someone around us is skeptical or not in alignment with it? How do we stay in that being state? Well, the way I look at that is this.
So much magic has happened in my life. I truly have nothing to doubt or fear. I used to every day really just dream as much as I possibly could in the car with my eye mask on in meditation. talk about it with you, so much so that my body believed it. My body believed it.
Yeah.
This is the work.
I'd love to share with you something that you haven't yet experienced. So put that on your eyes. I'm gonna just put on a meditation here.
Yeah.
Bearing in mind you've got a 100% blackout eye mask on, the eyes are closed. What do you visually see?
Oh my goodness. Welcome to another episode of Beyond with Matt and Corisande. Now, this week is a super exciting one because we're gonna be talking about all the tools that we use. Some of them I haven't tried. Matt's brought them along and he's like, right, let's give them a go. And these are all the tools that we use, not just when we get thrown off, but they are tools that we genuinely love and would highly recommend for everyone to use. And we've also got some really, really great questions from our community. But also from people on our webinar that are asking questions that I would imagine a lot of people are thinking about. And so hopefully we're going to be able to answer as many as possible, but also give our really, really authentic answers on those. And if you haven't already done so, it really, really helps us if you subscribe, share the love, tell us what you're loving and what you're enjoying. And with that said, let's get started. Okay.
Well, I'm really excited about this episode because one of the common questions that we always get Is Matt Coruscant, what other things do you use to help you manifest, to help you meditate, to help you visualize?
In terms of tools, yeah.
Yeah. To help you sort of fall off baseline. And basically it's, it's everything here.
Yeah.
Now, one of these tools on the top is something not even you have tried, and it is pretty mind-blowing. So I'm excited for us to, to try this.
Is that going over your eyes?
It's going over your eyes. Don't worry about makeup. I'm sure we're gonna be fine. I'll keep it for a little bit later in the episode, just in case you lose a bit of makeup. Just so everyone knows as well, everything we're sharing here, everything you can see, this is not sponsored. We're not being paid to promote these products. We genuinely love these products. If at some point in the future, one of these brands wants to partner with us, then it would be a genuine, authentic relationship because these are products that I genuinely love. And I know anyone listening will love to and give it a go if they can use them.
That's the one I know for sure that I regularly walk into the sitting room and you have on your head.
Yes.
And I'm like, right, I know I'm not going to be able to do it.
It's an eye mask with a light. So that's all I'm going to say for now. Um, before we dive into, I think we should do like one of the tools and a question, one of the tools and a question, which I think is a good idea. So one of the first things that I think we should talk about is something that we don't often talk about that much, which is our one line a day. So let's talk about this little thing. How would you describe what this is and why, if someone listening hasn't got a one line a day, that they should?
Well, I think that when you reach a destination that you've been maybe visualizing, manifesting, or even just like something you've been aiming towards, It's very, very easy to look back and see through rose-tinted glasses that, oh, this just happened. And when you talk about it in years to come, you almost don't really remember the steps that you took or where you were at different parts of that journey. So if that took you a year, 5 years, 2 years, whatever. And I'm definitely one of those people. And I think what's— what this little tiny pocket-sized memory book does so, so well is it forces you to write down Even the most mundane things that you may not ever remember, and moments and struggles, happy times, maybe not so good times, things you overcame, things you did really well, things that you struggled with, just little memories. And it's a great way of every single day getting you to not, because, you know, we don't pull our phone out and take a picture every single day.
Right.
But it's a great way of remembering where you were and what you were doing at a specific time, date, year. And I think if you were to say, like, if I was to think right now, what I love so much is I can say, right, what was I doing Christmas Eve 2022?
Yeah, you can go back.
You can go back and you can see what you were doing, you know, where you were in your life. It's just a great little book.
People sort of say to us, Matt, do you, Matt Coricin, do you keep a diary? And this is the only form of diary keeping we make. This is a 5-year memory book that you can start at any time. In fact, This is so precious to me that it never goes in the hold luggage at an airport. It's always with me in the hand luggage, and it goes off through the security every single time. So I always keep it out. It's because it's got this sort of metal edge around the side of it. And I, we gifted everyone that came to our last retreat one of these as well, didn't we? For everyone that hadn't got one, we gave them a copy of this.
Or got them to gift one. Or if they had one, gift it to someone that had.
They make it in loads of different colors. But how it works essentially is whatever day you buy this journal, there's 365 days, obviously 1st of January to 31st of December, you just open whatever day you're on. And then you're going to find that you've essentially got like 5 boxes to write in. And obviously, when you get it for the first time, you know, you write on the first box and you put, you know, 2026 at the top and you have a little entry, don't you? And then wherever you start, Then you go to the next page the next day in that top entry box and you loop an entire year. And then when you get to that year, you then go one down underneath. And then what's really amazing about that is you then every single day from that going round a year, you see exactly the entry you wrote one year above. And like Cora-san said, you, you get to write in this your highs, your lows, your mundane things, things you did. Like today I wrote, it's 9 AM at Tiverton Parkway station, we're about to get on a train to London to film a solo episode on Beyond Podcast. I'm really excited about this and where it's gonna go. And in a year's time, I'll remember that. And you know, I remember starting this particular one that I've got in my hand here in 2023, you know, so I've got '23, '24, '25, '26. So I can see 3 years above where I am right now. And you forget those days. Like if I just said, what was I doing You know, on July 6th, 2025, I wouldn't remember, but you do because you've written a highlight from that day. And I just think it's so precious. It doesn't even need to be your manifestation stuff. It's just life in general. And I think it's one of those things that I know you and I will look back on in years to come. And in here was the day Humphrey was born. In here was the day we told your parents that you were pregnant.
Yeah, but I also think it really emulates your message, which is that the man that loves walking will always walk further than the man that loves the destination. And I think it's—
Exactly.
The reason I think it's so, so important is that somebody like me is not very good at remembering how far I've actually come.
Right.
And you bought me one of these. I think I'm now in my third year, so I'm doing my third entry now. I've reached my third entry I'm writing in. And I think what's really, really important is I'm able to look back from a year ago at the things that I was writing down, which at times was like quite diff— it's actually interesting to read. I'm like, I've— it was difficult to write at the time. I can tell by my writing that I was finding the early stages of motherhood really hard. I was deep in the depths of having a 9, 10-month-old, a lot of change, a lot of feelings of emotion. And to see it now, a year later, I'm like, wow, like, you've really overcome some things here, Coruscant. Like, God, hasn't life changed in those 12 months? And I think that's what's so, so important. It forces you to really, really, really, like, honour your journey.
Exactly.
And how far you've come. And it is a great book. It looks great as well.
We would just say it does look great. Look after it. It's going to be the best thing personally that you buy. I think the one thing I will say is, if you're going to do it, be consistent with it, treat it like having a shower or cleaning your teeth every day.
Yeah.
Habit stack with it. I personally do mine in the morning just because I'm more consistent in the morning. A lot of people I know write their entry at the end of the day and reflect on the end of the day. But a one line a day, a 5-year memory book is definitely something to look at.
Yeah.
Should we then dive into the first question? Do you want to give me the first question?
Yes. This is a really, we've had some amazing questions.
So these are questions, just so everyone knows, these are questions from our community, the Book Beyond community, whenever we do these solo episodes. And we always will try our best to continue doing these solo episodes of just Corisanne and I. Obviously, we have guests that come on as well. But we open it up, don't we, for the community to actually ask us questions.
So first question is from lovely Alicia. Now, she has asked, one question that always comes to mind is, how do we stay in that state of being in our own practice and manifestation journey when, for example, We have someone around us who is not really aligned with these topics, doesn't believe in them much. And although they are open, they are also quite skeptical.
Okay, so perhaps you can add something to this too. But my advice to that is, what that question means is, we don't manifest into our life what we want, we manifest into our life who we're being. And the power of your morning meditation is to rehearse visually in meditation, your future as if it's already done, and to teach your body emotionally what that future feels like. That is the goal with this work. And we should have a taste of that future emotionally, we should know our brain subconsciously doesn't know the difference between that being a dream or reality. So the body's feeling it emotionally. And then we should get up from that meditation. And we should live that day in alignment emotionally with that future, not forcing or looking for that manifestation, and wait for it to come. So that question is, what happens when we get knocked off? Or if someone around us is skeptical or not in alignment with it? How do we stay in that being state? So the way I would answer that is you also need to rehearse who you're going to be around that person. So let's say you've got a spouse who's skeptical, negative, um, you know, he's going to throw you off baseline. He's going to tell you that that's wishful thinking. It's woo-woo. It's nonsense. It's not going to work. Well, the way I look at that is this. We can't ever control free will. We can't ever control someone else. We can't manipulate them, but we can always protect ourselves by understanding that we live in a probabilistic universe, meaning that probably, probabilistically, that person will trigger you. That person will be skeptical. That person will be negative. So as much as you're also visualizing your meditation, I would come out of that meditation and I would say and see and perhaps spend a few minutes visualizing Right? Who am I going to be today around this person or this environment? Because there's a pretty good chance they're going to say something. They're going to, they're going to act in a certain way that's going to trigger me. So when that happens, I better be ready for it. And I'm going to be ready by rehearsing now and visualizing a scene that's happened before that will probably happen again, who I'm going to be. And in that moment, you go, do whatever you want to do. Don't try and change that other person. You know, just, just emotionally prepare yourself ahead of the event for who you need to be in that scenario. And that's protecting your energy. And it's the one thing that you and I always talk about. We have a lot of people in our life that trigger us. And the conversation Corisande and I often have when we're in a situation with people that we know will say something and we know will drain us and we know will trigger us, You and I have a conversation and we almost visualize it first. Who are we gonna be in this situation? How are you, Corisande, gonna act when someone says something that perhaps triggers something in you that reflects on me?
Yeah.
You know, we have that conversation, don't we?
It's also about saying, this is the work.
Yeah.
This is the work. The work isn't the manifestation. The work is who you become in the process of achieving it. And with that becomes a level— like, you will see people that are so connected to themselves, nothing throws them off.
Yeah.
Obviously there are things that probably do throw them off, but most of the time, 90% of the time, they stay consistent because you can't, um, there's no possible way of avoiding somebody being skeptical or somebody not understanding what you're doing in everything you do. Like, say if you're someone that, uh, you run and you love running and you're really passionate about running and running for you has changed your life and, and you love that. There is going to be someone that doesn't feel the same way about running, that doesn't love it.
Right, exactly.
Doesn't like running, doesn't have a relationship with running, doesn't understand what you're talking about, can't connect with that feeling of enjoying running. It's everything.
In every sense of the word.
That's not going to change the way you feel about running. You're not going to stop running because that person doesn't want to run. You've just got to realize that Just because it's, it's maybe manifestation or meditating or journaling, whatever it might be, you have to continue with it because you enjoy it and because it gives you something.
And have the tool to get you back in whatever that is. I mean, exactly. You know, if someone triggers you or gets you back so many ways. We recently had Poppy Delbridge on the podcast who spoke about rapid tapping, which is a great way of tapping, great way of bringing you back, meridian points around the body and bringing yourself back. So You gotta find your own way to essentially get yourself back onto the feeling state. The being state is the feeling state of how you'll feel emotionally when that manifestation comes in.
Yeah, definitely.
Right. Let me ask you a question and then let's share another one of our tools. Okay. So Coruscant, this is actually a good one from, so Alicia asked, or Alicia asked the first one, and Laura Johnson is asking the second one. I'd love to know how you both let go of your desires, what process do you use to trust in the unfolding? A lot of people also liked that question. And Corisande, I know you've had some struggles personally with letting go. So what would you say?
It's an absolutely fantastic question. And I'll be really honest about this and authentic. I, uh, have struggled with this from the beginning, really, really struggled with it because I struggle with— the struggle for me hasn't been in the belief. It has been in the time. So I have no patience. So for me, if something doesn't happen in the timeframe I hope, I start to doubt. Yeah. So how have I personally, how I've come to peace with that is time. It's time and experience in this work. And it does take time. If you're someone that struggles with trust, it takes time to really make peace with the fact that that feeling will never truly disappear because that's potentially in your makeup and how you are in life and how you respond to things in, you know, in your everyday life. But I think the way that I have made peace with it is realizing that so much magic, if you're open to it and you really are truly in this work, so much magic has happened in my life. I truly have nothing to doubt or fear now. Because I think, I, I think some, at some point you have to reach a point in life where you make peace with the fact that time is really an illusion. And all that really matters is your belief and your confidence and faith in what you are aiming for and your desire. Everything else is really, is just an illusion. And I think the biggest tools you can use are revisiting That dream in your mind as often as you possibly can to realize that it's still there and it's coming. And almost like a scene or a picture or an old photo album or your phone that you can look back on photos and it can make you feel an emotion, or you can trigger a memory. Do the same with this work. Find a scene that takes you to that future and go and revisit it as often as you like. There's no rules. There's no rules to say you can only do it once.
That's true.
Go and feel that feeling as often as you can and go and do the things that reconnect you with it. Every time you forget, go and take yourself back to what you're, why you're doing it and what you're aiming for. And that helped for me so much. I used to every day really just dream as much as I possibly could in the car, you know, on the way to doing something, you know, with my eye mask on in meditation. I talk about it with you. Uh, so much so that my body believed it. My body believed it.
I think it's also just when you, the more you do this work, the more you realize there's a very real intelligence that's actually working with you behind the scenes. And I think for anyone that's struggling to trust and let go, this is why we are always playing with smaller manifestations and like have fun and lightness around this. And, you know, I call it throw frisbees into the wind. Set some really small manifestations off and watch how the universe or the, you know, quantum field reflects it back and manifests with you getting out of the way.
Enjoy it.
Enjoy it. Have fun.
Because when you do reach that final point, and actually, you know, I've probably spent 18 months struggling with the fact that something that I spent the best part of 2 and a half, 3 years pushing and striving and manifesting and worrying and going through all this now. Once it was done, I had 12 months where I didn't know what to do with myself.
Right.
I actually missed the chase.
And one thing I would say—
Which is crazy to say.
Yeah.
Crazy to say.
So funny to say, actually. But one thing that you did whenever you struggled to let go, would you always resort back to like a Transcendental Meditation TM?
Always.
Or journaling?
Oh yeah, always. I think if you're someone that's probably struggling and you're struggling to trust, it's 9 times out of 10 because you're a very visual person and you really, you know, you really need the evidence and the kind of You know, the time of it is sometimes difficult. And I think if you're one of those people, go back and revisit. Make your, make your vision so, so clear and powerful that you can go and, like a TV, put it on at any time that you're doubting, worrying, fearing, struggling to let go.
Absolutely.
Because the more you can do that, the more every time you see it, believe it. And it just starts to become like putting a TV on.
Yeah. One of the other tools is this here, which actually I wrote in my book about you, and that's our journal. A lot of people sort of say, I know this is a simple question, but a lot of people say, Matt, do you have a specific journal?
Yes, we do.
And we do, and we haven't designed our own, but we've gone through hundreds over the last sort of 7 years of doing this. This is one that I think I've stuck to now for probably the last 3 years. Specifically, it's a Leuchtturm1917 Medium. Ruled hardback journal. And I do this thing where I write the date when I started it. So the 5th of August, 2026 is the day I wrote this.
We're gonna need to contain these just now.
We are gonna need a container. And I write 2, and then I'll finish the date that I've finished on. And what I always do is I write 4 pages in this every day.
It's a nice color.
Yeah, I like the yellow. And before we get into how I use this, Coruscant, and I wrote it in the book on journaling, one thing that you forgot to mention there is Whenever you struggled to trust, you would just write. You'd do a stream of consciousness writing. And you used to say that the pen—
I did, I tried.
You don't struggle with this as much anymore, but you used to say that the pen used to—
Just write itself. And I think sometimes actually just going very, very briefly back, having a really nice, simple— I don't want something with loads of steps in personally. I just think that's not needed. I personally just— and for journaling, by the way, I think that's needed in other areas, but Yeah. For me personally, when I, when I'm journaling, I just want the book and I want a page and I want a pen. I want something that looks nice, but I just want to be able to pick up the pen and write. And I think scribing, writing, and when I say like, there does not need to— this isn't— this is not going to be read by Penguin Random House or published. You know, it is literally everything that you're worrying about, you're fearing, You're struggling to let go of, the time, whatever it might be, write it down. Because I'm telling you now, reading it back, you'll, you, you feel almost like a bit silly. People say that actually. Just making a joke of it.
Do you write, do you read them back? I do. Um, not always, but when you've, when you've dated them, it's very easy to go back.
Making light of it though, isn't it? Yeah, I think so.
It's funny because when I work with people, some people are often a little bit worried about writing in terms of like who's going to find it. And of course, like, you know, depending on your relationship and who you're in, whether you need to keep these in a safe. And it's unfiltered, isn't it? And there's 3 ways to journal. I want to talk you through this. So what I personally do, you have a slightly different approach, is probably less organized. I know to the day, I can get through one of these every 2 months. And that's because I do 4 pages a day. And there's around, you know, I think 250 pages in this. So it takes me exactly about sort of just over 60 days to get it complete. How I, whatever I do. So on the 5th of August, when I started this, I always say what will have manifested by the end of, or sorry, by early October, knowing that early October is when I'll complete it. And I'll always write 9 things that I know I'm going to manifest. And I don't know if I've ever told you this because it starts on an odd page. So I always did that. So whenever I start a new journal, I always have one page.
Of course you've worked that out.
Yeah, I know. And I'll write 9 things. And then what I do is I do 4 pages a day. So I always have on the left-hand side, um, either a journal prompt or I'll just do what's called a stream of consciousness or, um, scripting, which is writing a day in the life as if you've already manifested.
That's brilliant.
On the 5th of August, I wrote, how am I feeling? That was my journal prompt.
Um, what do you do if you—
And I actually said, right now I'm sat in the, uh, Amex lounge at Heathrow Terminal 3. allowing myself to soak up, um, the fact that we're off to the Hudson, uh, the, the retreat in Hudson Valley. So that's my, what I do. And then I have an intention at the bottom, which is just, uh, I always imagine it's the end of the day and how today's gone. So I'm setting a daily intention.
That's how amazing that— sorry, have you just realized that, did that start, that journal, the day we went to—
Yeah, because I did it deliberately.
Did you finish?
Oh, okay. Well, I didn't do it deliberately. I finished my other journal on the 4th of August.
You couldn't have done that deliberately.
No. So, so I realized that on whenever I start a journal, I have 5 pages. On the 5th of August. Yeah.
Change. 5.
5. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. So there you go.
That's amazing. Okay. Yeah.
The second page is gratitude. So people were reading my book Beyond Wanting, for anyone who hasn't read it, 5 things I'm grateful for, always 4 things that haven't manifested as if they already have.
That's my 5 gratitude. Yeah.
And then, and then I turn to the third page and I do 369, which is my affirmations. So 3 affirmations of any length, 1 affirmation that's 6 words, and another affirmation that's 9 words long. Again, that's all detailed in my book. And that is, I'm writing them and I'm reading them out loud 3 times. And those are a mix, and you do the same, don't you? They're a mix of either things that I'm actively trying to rewire in my own brain, like fear around something, and also weaving in an actual manifestation. And then I finish on the 4th page by writing down 9 things that I'm manifesting. And that comes from my 9-square activation that I do every year.
Yeah, that's brilliant.
And that's, that's what I do. And those are the— that's, that's how we journal. But yeah, going back to this, this particular one, again, you know, not sponsored by Leuchtturm, but it's a Leuchtturm1917 hardback ruled medium journal. It's just empty lined pages like that. But there are some great journals out there. For sure that I've used, which perhaps we'll talk about in another episode.
I think though what we like about that one though, and what I personally like about this one, for anyone that goes, well, I don't understand, because people do say to us, I don't understand, was, is firstly you can get them in so many colours, which I think is important because if you want to keep a record of these like Matt does and like I do, it's nice to have loads of different colours. And I randomly go in and pick different colours, um, based on—
I pick them with the summers, like yellow for the sun and the summer.
Yeah. I've done—
really?
Yeah, I do.
So like yellow for August, green for July.
Okay, well, I go in and pick them based on like— yeah, Matt goes for some really great colours. I'm very like black, beige, like white.
But that's how I do it.
But yeah, yeah, yeah.
So that's that. Should we have another question and then should we share another joke?
Yeah, great.
Just a quick one. It amazes me how many people have no idea that I have a digital version of my mind. And let me just explain exactly what that is before you jump back into the episode. So I knew for years that AI is here to stay, and there's a lot of people using AI in a negative way. And I personally love AI. I think it's a great tool and a great study guide for me. And I was wondering whether there was a way that I could utilize AI and artificial intelligence to take everything I know about manifestation. Chances are you're listening to one of our podcasts and perhaps you are tuning into a question and hoping that your question might have been asked by someone else and that perhaps Matt might ask it. Well, the good news is I actually found a way. I created Matt's Digital Mind, and I want you to think about this. This AI was built from scratch, blank canvas with nothing else programmed into it, purely from everything I fed it. So every single podcast I've ever been on, my entire book, all my courses that exist on the internet, Everything I've ever done, every single email newsletter that I've ever written, and I've been writing those for 5 years, has been fed into a digital representation of my mind. And what that means is you can actually use my mind to ask me any question, and I'll only answer it based on the intelligence that I've given it. The people in my community absolutely rave about it, and we don't talk about it enough. If you'd love to just come in and try it out, Then it's available within the Beyond community. It's there as one of the assets, and come in and try it. You can join with a 7-day free trial on the link below. Come in, explore the community, go and check out My Digital Mind, and if it is not for you, then you can leave. And perhaps you've just got one question you'd love to ask my mind. Come and join us for 7 days and then cancel your membership. It's absolutely fine, but I think you're gonna love it. And with that said, back to the episode.
So this is from Carrie. How do I more consistently keep my quantum field vibrating positively? I'm doing the work daily and yet still find myself tripping up numerous times. My analytical brain then decides I can't be making progress as my trip-ups must be canceling out my meditations, vision board, mental rehearsals, etc. Great question. Love that.
So to answer that question, it's part of the work. We're always gonna get triggered being a human.
Yeah.
You know, there's always, I always say shit happens.
Sure.
It does, right?
Yeah.
And you're gonna get that shitty email. You're gonna get a puncture on the way to work in your car. Your child's gonna be sick. You're gonna be sick. Things are gonna happen. It's called being a human. I think how I answer that question very simply is if you're being consistent with either your morning or evening practice, you keep knocking that door. You keep telling the universe, you keep saying, this is, this is it. This is what I'm seeing. Remember, it's a mirror. It's reflecting back. And you keep sending out that signal. I always say, and I've said it recently, it's like when you experience a new noise in your home, like a, like a new thud. If you heard it once, you'd be like, oh, what's that? And you wouldn't pay any attention. But if it's persistent and it carries on, it starts to get your attention. And that's all we need to do every day, show up in our meditation, show up in our journaling practice, and be consistent with our signal. And know it's mirroring back. And just know that just because we can't see it doesn't mean it's not happening. And, you know, beyond what the eyes can see, I've spoken about this before, you know, it's infinite consciousness and it's happening, it's unfolding, it's reorienting your reality sphere. But then what happens to keep that quantum state, quantum being in your meditation, you're outside your analytical mind, you've sort of detached from your sensory information and you're able to sort of rehearse and visualize being in your future self. You've just got to say to yourself in that meditation, how can I teach myself emotionally what this future feels like through the day? And how can I remind myself? And more importantly, how can I just stay conscious?
Yeah.
I know that I'm not canceling out my manifestation if, if shit happens. If I, if I forget and fall unconscious for an hour, that's not canceling it out.
It's a little bit like saying, like, if, if you go to the gym consistently, one bad day.
Yeah.
It's like, you know, if you don't go to the gym one day, it's not going to cancel out all the work that you've done. Exactly. It's like the 80/20 rule.
You know, there's some days where I think when I read that journal, I was actually in the Amex lounge in Terminal 3 at Heathrow because We had to leave the hotel room at, what was it, 4 AM? And there was just, there was just no time. Like, there was no time. And I said, okay, well, it's not perfect because perfect is I get up and I go straight to doing my routine. In that case, it was okay, well, I've got to go straight to passport control and, you know, we've got it. We're in the airport. I'll do the journaling in the Alex Lounge. Yeah. And, and it's, that wasn't perfect, but it was consistent.
Yeah.
And I think what I would, to answer that question, I would just say, that you've got to find a tool to bring yourself back. Know that I always say it's like playing tennis. If you're going to get knocked off, how quickly can you get back up? And the one thing that I do love that perhaps we could bring up, this other tool that you've seen me playing with, but you haven't. I always like having these high vibrational tools that can bring me back. If I'm being too analytical, let me test it. Let me see what I can do to bring myself back down. I will just say, if anyone's feeling too analytical, if anyone's doubting, There's a great breath that they can do. Let's do it together right now, and everyone can do this with me. Okay. I call it the reset breath. So, if you imagine you had a reset button here that you could just press.
Yeah.
Okay. Just imagine that. And this is a 4-second inhale through the nose, hold for 7, and then very importantly, exhale slower for 8 seconds out your mouth.
Okay.
Okay. So, let's do this together now. So, if you take a nice deep breath in through your nose, Hold. And then exhale through your mouth. And then open your eyes. Now, that might not have been perfect timing, but if you're doing that at home, do at least 4 sets of that. And it will literally be like a reset button. My advice to that question is when you catch yourself being analytical and doubting and trying to work it out, Have a tool like that. One tool that I do love is this. Again, not sponsored by this. It's called Muse. This is Muse 2. This is a sensor that's built into a headband. It's got like an EEG built into it. And it gives you feedback in real time of your brain activity, your heart rate, your breath, that sort of thing. So let me show it now. You, I don't, you've tried this perhaps a couple of times, haven't you, Coruscant? But essentially what this does—
I have, yeah.
Let me show you this. It looks like this. Would you do me a favour, Clarissa?
It'd be a great game for children.
It would, and I'll talk about it. Would you just put that on your head? So it's got the EEG sort of built into it.
Yeah.
But if you put that on and wear it as if you're wearing a headband, so it goes just like that. And then what you do is you download the Muse app and that's it. You put in your own headphones. And then the app itself would tell you whether it's flush and it would say, move it around, whatever else. And you then choose one of their meditations. So you can, let me give you one as an example. You can do one which is like in the forest and you go in.
So fun.
And you listen to, you've got music on, but you're aware of rain, thunder, lightning. You can really hear the wind in the trees.
So is this according to—
Your brainwaves.
Yeah, your brainwaves.
So the EEG is scanning your brain in real time.
So great for bringing yourself back.
Yeah. So you can, by listening to the wind and the thunder, you know you're in a high brainwave state, like beta brainwaves. The idea is then you try and naturally yourself without guidance, apart from music, calm yourself down. So you find your own technique. Perhaps it's just the breath, the 4-7-8, or in and out through your nose, or, and then what happens is in real time, you're getting real feedback. The rain and the thunder stops. And you're aware that in that moment now your brain's slower. And then out of nowhere, you hear these beautiful birds that start chirping and tweeting. And when you can hear the birds, you know you are in a deeper brainwave such as alpha brainwaves or theta. And then you can test it in real time like I do where I'm like, okay, well let me try and be really analytical now and try and think about something else. And as I do that, often I hear the birds go and then the rain and thunder comes back.
Oh, that's brilliant.
And then if I, practice the breath or whatever else, then the rain goes and I hear the birds come out again. And you find and develop your own technique for knowing what slows you down.
What an amazing product. Love that.
Love it. Yeah. And you come out of that meditation and it's like a gamification because you get a score for how many birds you got. So you might say, oh, in that meditation, in that 20-minute meditation, you got 32 birds.
So really good for kids. And if you're wanting them to try and help them, you could say like, how many birds can you get?
Yeah. So if you wanted to help your kids meditate, but make it like a game, You could say, right, here we go. Put the Muse thing on, Muse headband on, and let's see who can get the most amount of birds. But you're teaching your kids in real time as well, how to slow down their brain.
Love that. Absolutely love that.
Teaching them a technique. And I think it's just brilliant. Like I said, you know, we're not sponsored by Muse. I just love it. And I'm often pulling this out. Their slogan is meditation made easy and fun, I would say. And you can also, which is really cool, you don't have to listen to their meditations either. So you can put the headband on, listen to your own meditation, perhaps one of my guided meditations, which are all available on my website. And you can then come out of my meditation once you've had the Brain Headband on and actually go to your data and it'll tell you how well you did, how long you were in active brainwaves, how long you were slow.
So you could measure how well you were doing. That's so good.
So it's the only device that I've found that in real time gives you that, that sensory feedback on brainwave activity. So I've been meaning to share that for a while, actually, but I think it's a really cool one.
But you've got all the goodies with you.
All the goodies. So those are 3 tools. Now, before we share the, the last tool, which is like the best one that Coris and I want to actually try out in real time, let's go back to the community. Let's look at a couple of other questions. Did you know that on October 3rd and 4th, 2026, I'm going to be live in Barcelona hosting a 2-day manifestation workshop? And for the first time ever, I haven't taught this in the detail that I'm going to teach it in October. I'm revealing a formula and a map that is going to help you understand the probability of actually manifesting The very thing that you're looking to manifest. This isn't a generic tool that you're going to go away and use. This is going to be specific for your own manifestation. This is something that I've been researching throughout 2026. This hasn't been taught by any other teacher on the planet when it comes to this formula that I'm teaching. And there are certain areas of this formula that will help you understand exactly what you need to personally work on. In order to increase the likelihood and probability of the very thing that you are manifesting. And with that said, it's a deep dive over 2 days about everything I know about manifestation, as well as being in a room with hundreds of like-minded people. And we all know that when people come together, there's a very real thing called collective energy that amplifies your own intention. So that is October 3rd and 4th in Barcelona this year, 2026. The link to come and buy your tickets is below in the show notes. And if you can make it, I'm gonna love to see you there live this October. Anyway, back to the show. Okay, this is a great question from, from Liz. Um, hi Matt and Karisand. My question is about the moment a major manifestation actually drops and we hit that, oh wow, this is real realization. When we experience a massive quantum leap, our logical mind suddenly wakes up to the new reality. But often right behind that, that excitement comes a sudden baseline shock or identity whiplash. The nervous system panics because the new reality feels too unfamiliar and it tries to pull us back into what felt safe.
That's amazing.
How do you two, perhaps we can both answer this, handle the new threshold? What does it look like behind the scenes for you? Both to soothe that nervous system shock so you can actually hold the new frequency instead of letting the panic push it away.
So I had this ex— that's, that's amazing.
That's had the most amount of likes.
Wow, that's incredible. So I had, um, and Liz, you might want to go back on one of our other episodes where I actually shared I had a physical experience of this where we had an enormous amount of change and we kind of, I felt it physically. where I was really, um, got very nervous, very anxious, uh, just, just what was changing and the amount that was changing. But a few simple things that I personally do, and I think Matt can share also, uh, his sort of tools and tips with this, but I think to acknowledge the feeling firstly, that it's obviously change is, is a shock to the body. And very often, you know, it's The shock is more the sense of moving into a new frequency. And yes, your body will always try and pull you back to the familiar. And the key thing here is not to try and fight that feeling. It's actually to try and acknowledge it and allow it to come in and thank it. Thank it for being there for you and, and, and, and, and really understand why it's there. And when you do that, I think you create space for it. And I think after that, it's then, it's then actually physically saying out loud, which is something you taught me, Matt, um, thank you for protecting me, and I understand why, why you're here.
Mm.
I don't need protecting. This is a new chapter for me, and I'm ready. I'm physically ready for it. And, you know, uh, You know, things like actually, we did talk about having Poppy on, you know, using her rapid tapping and things like that. And actually, you know, allowing yourself some space to really acknowledge the feeling, accept it, but also release it is, is something really, really important. Uh, because change is great. Change is such a fabulous thing that we should all really welcome and not fear. And, uh, sometimes it's just being able to acknowledge how you feel and, uh, allowing it to go through you. Yeah.
Yeah, I completely agree. And I think to, for me to answer that question she asked us both, I will use a very real example. I haven't spoken about this publicly yet, but I have just manifested an enormous manifestation, which is doing a show in LA. And it was a huge manifestation because my desire, I won't say much about it yet. was to help take the message of manifestation globally. And perhaps actually it was a little bit broad, that as an intention. And I will, to answer Lizzy's question, I think when your intent is very specific, sometimes the whiplash isn't as hard because let's say you're trying to manifest a specific person or a specific job or a specific house. There is more of the excitement and the relief perhaps.
Yeah.
Sometimes there is the fear around perhaps if you're wanting to buy a new house, perhaps the new mortgage payment, for example. But with, with something that's a little bit broader, perhaps you're looking to manifest more money or a new opportunity, or in my case, to grow the manifestation message more globally. When this opportunity came my way and they offered me this opportunity to fly out to LA and produce a, you know, a show which interviews some pretty extraordinary people, Um, on the topic of manifestation and consciousness, I initially felt fear. Am I worthy? Can I actually do this? And I think just as Cora-san said there, what I did in that case is I actually didn't say yes straight away. I sat with it for a while. We processed it, didn't we? We had our ups and downs with it. And I think we're being quite authentic and honest here, which I think is a really good thing. Because when a big manifestation lands that was perhaps unexpected, you never thought perhaps in a million years it could be that, especially if it's a broad manifestation you're working on. Every single part of you will want to naturally protect you from it, even though it's so unbelievable. It's so into the unfamiliar that you do feel this natural resistance around. All of a sudden, what's going to happen, and this is a good thing, what's going to be exposed is every single shadow in you, every single unconscious aspect of you. that's not been processed, where you might question your ability to do it, your worthiness, everything. And I just sat there and for a while it was overpowering. And we worked through it. We had some conversations until of course, you know, I said yes, and more will be revealed about this in due course because it's still pretty early on as we speak now. And I will just say that's it. It's, it's like you said, it's knowing that a lot of the time fear is self-referential. It paints a picture based on the unknown. It says, yeah, but what if you fail? What if you're not good enough? What if you let people down? What if you can't make the payments? All of these things. And I think if that's happening, you know, it's fear talking because it's false evidence appearing real. But fear paints a picture based on what it doesn't know. It makes up a scenario. Intuition never does that because intuition simply knows.
Also, I've had, I have something really strange happen to me. It's where I will actually physically And, uh, and like spiritually know that I need to step out and I need to be more in the forefront, and that that is coming through me, and that's the signs I'm getting, and I'm getting it constantly. People are saying things to me and saying, Corinne, you need to do this, you need to do that, and I'm— and, and, and I know I've got to do it, and I— it feels right, and I'm excited about it. And literally opportunities will come in and I will want to turn them down because of, of not wanting to be seen.
Yeah, yes, exactly.
So even though I'm actually like working towards these things, when they come in, my body rejects them. So you, you do have to realize that you have to be stronger than that. You have to be stronger than that. And you have to realize that you stay true to you, to what you're striving for. Remember that the fear will always come on your shoulder and try and push it away and, and not almost reject the, the new frequency that you've moved on to, but your job is to push past it.
I, I agree. And I think before we share this other tool, I want to straight back in with another question for you from Liz.
Yeah.
Another, another Liz actually, who said, how do you both manage to navigate consistency in practice? I realize it's your business to do so. So maybe more natural focus for you too. But how, how about when things get really busy, jet lag, commitments, etc.? I'm a solo parent of 3 young adults. I run a business, life exercise, and travel continually between the UK and Asia. I value this work yet find the discipline needed to enable it really Unbelievably challenging?
Yeah, I don't, Liz, to be honest with you. I don't always manage it in the way that I would hope all the time. However, one thing that I do, so, okay, so there's 2 ways of looking at this. Firstly, I think put a realistic routine on yourself. Don't place a, you know, you know, and realize that if you're traveling, you're a busy mum, you know, you're running a business, you're working a job, you're doing all these things. Fit it around that and don't say to yourself, I'm failing if I don't do X, Y, and Z in this timeframe every single day. Like, do not say that to yourself because you can only do what you can do. So take the small amount of time that you do have and do something towards Yeah. What you're manifesting. Do not look at, say, for example, like Matt and I, you know, we, we're always consistent with this work, but there are days that Humphrey hasn't slept. And—
And it won't be a perfect routine.
It's not a perfect routine. It's not a perfect consistent routine every single day because that isn't realistic to life. So it might mean sometimes if I've had no sleep or Matt's had no sleep, or it's, you know, for example, we're traveling. We fit it around. Like Matt might say, okay, I'm gonna go off now and do this. And I'll say maybe 3 hours later, can you watch Humphrey just while I go and do X, Y, and Z? And I'll just do a smaller version of, of what I normally do. Fit it around you.
So I would say on that, we, we, we aim for never skipping a day.
No.
Even, and, and some days it's the perfect routine where we're out in the office, we have an hour each, we do our whole morning routine. Other times, like Charisyn said, like I've said, it's in the Amex lounge in Terminal 3, or it's on a plane, or in your case, In the car this morning, sort of an early start.
But it has been known that I'm like, Matt's had time to do his routine and we're going to be late to our flight if we— if I try and do mine as well. So I'll tell you what I'll do, I'll, I'll involve Humphrey in it.
Yeah. So we try and, we just try and make it work around our routine. But we, even if you're super, super busy, I would just say, I'm sure everyone who's as busy as busy can get still finds time to clean their teeth or have a shower. But what is that one thing you can do every day, whether it's writing in your one line a day, Writing one gratitude statement or reading your gratitude or writing an intention for the day, even if there's one thing, or even if it's just, who am I gonna be today?
Or visualizing in the shower or whatever you, whatever.
Just, just try and build from there. Yeah.
Nice.
You know, the great thing with the community is we've got loads of questions. We'd love to be able to get through them all. So we'll carry the rest into another episode. But to finish this episode, I'd love to share with you something that you haven't yet experienced, have you?
No.
Okay. So this here is called Nova, and it's by a company called Luminate.
Okay.
And this device here, they call Nova. And Nova is an eye mask, as you can see. And how it works, a little bit like the Muse headband, but it's different, is it's going to actually fire LED lights into your eyes. You keep your eyes closed. If you are not pregnant, which I don't think you are.
No.
And you don't suffer from anything that's going to, you know, if you're not going to be affected by, you know, white light, then you will be fine. And how it works essentially is you download the app, you find a meditation, it connects to this, and then it's going to fire LED light into your eyes with your eyes closed. And what it's going to do is it's going to create an experience and it changes and differs. But what it does is, I'll talk about it once you've experienced it, is in my opinion anyway, it puts you into an altered state. So I'm always looking for things that can help me get into a different state of consciousness, an altered state to help me. My brain's running at a million miles an hour. So what I love with this is it entrains my brain so I can slow down. And in that stillness, In the gap between your thoughts, the spaciousness between the thoughts, the insight comes. But so many of us are living in a busy world and, you know, I really think the—
So if you struggle to meditate, this is probably a really good one.
Well, yeah. You know, if you, if, if, you know, there's a few health conditions which I think mean you can't do it, but there's not many. So put that on your face. As we're at the end of the podcast, it doesn't matter if you mess up your, your makeup. So put that on your eyes. I'm going to just put on a meditation here. And you can, you can choose loads from their library. It's going to start in a moment. I just want you to explain— your eyes are closed, aren't they, under there?
Yeah.
I want you to explain in real time what you actually visually see, bearing in mind you've got a 100% blackout eye mask on, your eyes are closed. What do you visually see? Okay, so let's get going. It's going to play soft music. Take some deep breaths, see.
Oh my goodness.
I'll turn the music down. Just explain to me what you can see.
Like a kaleidoscope, like loads of like blue, reds, oranges. Literally, like, it's just like looking through a kaleidoscope.
Just stare into it with your eyes closed, weirdly. And we might be able to see on the camera, but there's some, we can see, I can see the lights.
Now going like a deep blue.
Like a kaleidoscope of different images.
It's like a kaleidoscope, yeah.
How would you describe what you're seeing?
Loads of little circles. Pinks now, purples, like it's very, like it sets you into a bit of a trance. Like I'm struggling actually to talk and Are you? Yeah, I'm really struggling to do both.
Are you worrying about anything whilst in there?
Yeah, I'm like, wow, it's unbelievable to look at.
You seem more present. You, you seem more relaxed. Do you feel more relaxed?
I feel very relaxed. How I can describe this is, so I think I've talked about this before, but wow, I'm really struggling actually to focus here. Oh, this is amazing. Um, so basically I This is really good.
Corisanna's struggling to get her words out, right?
This is so— oh my goodness, this is amazing. So basically, um, I do a meditation, a Joe Dispenza meditation. This is really hard, by the way. I'm having to really focus. I do a Joe Dispenza meditation and it takes me, I would say, I think the meditation is 40 minutes and it probably takes me 50% of the way to get really deep. I can, I can really see how you'd be deep in probably like less than 5 minutes with this on. This is amazing. Those are like blues.
So I'm gonna let you enjoy this, Corisande, for a moment whilst I, whilst I talk about this a little bit more. So obviously you wouldn't naturally be talking like Corisande is, as you can see in real time there. This is why I love this so much. Can you see how Corisande's one minute very analytical? She's having a conversation with me. She's in her beta brainwaves, and then she goes within the space of like a minute to this, like, not even really being able to get her, her words out. Now wrap your head around this. She's got a 100% blackout eye mask on. Her eyes are closed. She's having to now take it off, right?
That's insane.
Her eyes are closed. So how is she able to visually, how is she able to visually see anything? So that's sort of what happens inside. Okay. And, um, it's because My belief is this is a projected hologram. You know, we are, we are seeing a sliver of the truth of reality. Is this real or is it being projected by our own brain? You know, and if your eyes are closed, if you've got a blackout eye mask on and only light is coming in, how are you then able to visually see a kaleidoscope of images?
That's amazing. Yeah. I could see if you really were in like relaxed in your own space, how you could really go deep with that.
So you can choose different lengths of meditations. What I find myself just just to wrap this, um, you know, called Luminate. Go and check it out. It's a great company. This is called Nova. Like I said, if you really struggle, I struggle. I've made this very clear. I really struggle and have struggled to get out of my analytical brain. I've struggled to visualize.
This is the one thing. That's a great presence.
This is the one thing that helps me visualize. Some great music on here too. And when you are in that state, wouldn't you, it's like a psychedelic trance without doing plant medicine. And you're in there and you see this, these tunnels and these doors and this, these kaleidoscopes of colors, and it literally puts you into a trance and puts you into an altered state of consciousness, then you can try pairing your manifestation practice at the same time. So I think that is it, unless there's any final thoughts from you.
No, I think this has been great.
It's been a great conversation. So like I said, We've got Luminate Nova, we've got the Muse headband, we've got the One Line a Day, we've got the Ljusström 1917 journal. If you've been wondering why we drink these drinks, again, we're not, we're not sponsored by Trip. They're CBD infused. This is a raspberry orange blossom. And what one's yours? Is that a ginger?
I don't know, but it's my favourite.
Yeah, of course. I'm sorry. We just love having these. It does something for us. It just puts us into a really nice relaxed but focused state, doesn't it? Now, with that said, thank you again for watching this podcast. Cora-Sanne and I really appreciate it. And like we've said before, if you are watching on YouTube, just that one small favor of just hitting the subscribe button would mean the world to us. Growing this channel helps us ultimately reach more people. If you're listening to it on other platforms, thank you. And if you found this useful, then please share it with anyone that you know might find it beneficial. And with that said, we'll see you in another episode soon.
