In this motivational monologue, Matt Cooke explains why most people struggle to act on their goals despite having a clear vision. He attributes the difficulty to subconscious programming, which makes up about 95% of our behavior, leaving only a small conscious portion to drive change. This imbalance creates overwhelm, which fuels procrastination. Cooke introduces his core mantra, “dream smaller to manifest faster,” urging listeners to break large aspirations into tiny, concrete next steps. He advises identifying a single, simple habit—such as meditation, filming, or journaling—and committing to it consistently. By focusing on this micro‑action, individuals generate momentum, transform manifestation into a journey rather than a distant destination, and gradually bridge the gap between their current self and their future vision.

I bet that you have no doubt getting clear on that future version of you, and I bet that you know exactly what it is that you want. But most people struggle to change. Most people struggle to stay consistent towards what it is that they'd love to achieve, and that's okay because here's the truth: 95%, quite literally, of who you are is subconsciously programmed, and you have that conscious awareness coming from about 5% towards what it is that you seek. So it doesn't matter what workshops you attend, what courses you watch, what videos you tune into, when it comes to doing it, for some reason you just can't quite do it. And here's the truth, and this is what's going to really help you. I have a saying, and that saying is: dream smaller to manifest faster. The further away the gap from where you are and what that dream is, I'm sure you'll agree, the more lack, the more separation between those two points. And quite honestly, that creates overwhelm, and overwhelm stops you in your tracks. Overwhelm is the fuel for procrastination. But what happens, and what's really quite magical, is when you keep it simple and when you reverse engineer down the manifestation to the next step, all of a sudden there's movement. And here's what I want you to do if you struggle with procrastination: get clear on that vision and then say to yourself, what is that next step? What is that next manifestation? And honestly, what is just one thing that I could do and I could stay consistent with? And I think you'll know what that is, whether it's meditation, whether it's pulling out your phone and shooting some videos, whether it's journaling, whatever it is. Hold yourself accountable to just that one thing and focus on that one step. Because the truth is, as you do that and you start building movement, all of a sudden you feel like you're on a journey. And that's because manifestation isn't about a destination, it's about a journey.
