Matt Cooke explains how to use meditation specifically to enhance manifestation by moving from the analytical waking state (beta) into relaxed alpha and hypnotic theta states where the subconscious is more receptive. He recommends clarifying a 6–12 month vision, writing a sensory-rich "mind movie" script (start/middle/end), rehearsing it daily in guided meditations, and intentionally adding emotion (hand on heart, family images) to increase suggestibility. Practical tips cover session length options (15–30 minutes), managing mind-wandering (awareness = meditation), and resources/CTAs directing viewers to his guided meditations, course, newsletter, and social channels.

Meditation gives us this incredible ability to slow down our busy, thinking, analytical brain and go into the storehouse of our subconscious brain where we can mentally rehearse, where we can visualize our manifestation as if it's already in our life. So if you're someone who's wondering how meditation and manifestation must merge together and why you should be using meditation to manifest every day, then this is a video to really listen to. Firstly, understand this, that you're always in a state of manifestation. And if you don't meditate, then you're unconsciously manifesting because you're not aware of how you're thinking and how you're feeling day to day. And in actual fact, when we're in our normal waking state, we're in what's known as beta brainwaves. And beta brainwaves very simply means we're more aware of the world than the inside world. And in beta, it's a faster brainwave. So what that really means is you can have all the conscious intention, you can have all the conscious vision, you can be holding that dream whilst in your waking state. But at the same time, there's noise, there's friction in your life, things are going on, you're being called to one place and the other people need your attention, phones going off. And I want you to imagine in that waking state, that signal, that broadcast that you're trying to send out to the universe is just a bit all over the place. It's really haphazard and the universe isn't really able to hold on to or hear what it is that you're trying to communicate. So the reason we meditate is this. It gives us this incredible opportunity every day to just turn down the volume on that friction and that noise and we can just slow down. And as we slow down, our brainwaves naturally slow down. And what separates beta brainwaves and alpha brainwaves is the analytical mind. And what we're trying to do is really open the door and get beyond the analytical mind to get into the subconscious. And the subconscious starts with alpha brainwaves. Now, Alpha is that very creative imaginary state. It's actually where daydreaming originates. So daydreaming is one minute you're in the day in beta brainwaves, if you imagine being in a classroom, for example, and the next you dip into Alpha because you're relaxed. So you go from day to dreaming. And what we're really trying to do is tap in to Alpha to start with. So as we slow down and we come down to Alpha, all of a sudden, the inside world becomes more real than the outside world. And then if we go even deeper still, so into a really deep meditation, we'll go down to theta. And in theta brainwaves, it's the hypnotic state. If you ever go and have hypnotherapy, for example, the therapist will slow you right down with some pretty amazing techniques all the way down to theta. And when you're in theta, the body pretty much feels like it's asleep, but you're aware of what's being said and in that state, and this is what's so fascinating, your body does not know the difference between a dream and what's real. So when we're in theta, we're highly suggestible. What that really means is as the brain's visualizing a future, the body is just accepting it to be true in that moment. And the magic there, when it comes to manifestation is you're going to be thinking about whatever it is that you're seeking to create, and you're going to be feeling equal to that vision. And then if we go even deeper still, and we're not really trying to get down to this level during our meditation, we get down to delta, but for the purpose of manifestation, we're trying to tap into Alpha and theta. So here's what we're going to do when it comes to manifestation and meditation. Before you even start this, first you get clear on what it is that you're even trying to manifest. So that could be a new job, publishing a book, a relationship. Maybe you're looking to manifest your dream house, for example, whatever it is that you're seeking, here's what I want you to do. First, just say to yourself, what would that manifestation look like if it was already in my life? And maybe you might go out six to 12 months from your current state right now. Just pick a time, but don't go any further than about 12 months. So, for example, if it's a relationship, try and imagine where you'll be in that relationship. Will you have met the parents? Will you have moved in with each other? Will you be on your first holiday? Just try and imagine that state and do the same for any other area of your life that, that you're trying to manifest. And it's really important when you're about to meditate that you first understand what you're actually going to visualize. So the purpose of visualization in meditation is that we go into rehearse that story, that aspect of your life, as if it's already in your life. You're not going to visualize and hope that one day it appears you're actually going to be dreaming as if it's already unfolded. So what I like to do is take that intention, that vision for about 12 months out and say to myself, how can I create a story around it? I like to call that a movie, a mind movie, and think of a movie. You're the producer, you're the actor, you're the director. Think about all the props that are going to be in it. The people, the places, the environment, the sounds, the smells, as much as you can make it really sensory rich. And that's what I do. I really study it. Get out a piece of paper and really focus on the details, focus on exactly how that vision starts. Focus on the middle, and more importantly, focus on the end. And you want to really make sure that you've got that script and that you can rehearse exactly what that script is. You almost want to imagine that you can remember your lines. Now here's the real big secret when it comes to meditation. It's not enough to just think the thoughts. It's not enough. You've got to really feel it. So what I like to do is when I look at my script for this life that I'm trying to manifest as if it's already in my life, because I'm visualizing it as if it's done, I say to myself, where can I sprinkle some emotion? What's going to really pull at the heartstrings here? And for me, family always do that, to try and say to yourself, whether it's family, whether it's pets, whether it's just being proud of yourself, how can you make this also really, really emotional? And then try that. So then what you're going to do is you're going to use one of my guided meditations or anyone else who resonates with you. And my meditations are all available on my website. You can download them directly onto your device and you can use them in your own time so you can carry them in your pocket wherever you are. Or if you're a member of my Evolve Manifestation course, then all my guided meditations come complementary with that course. And the great thing with my meditations is they range. It doesn't matter how busy you are, whether you're a working mom with three small kids and you, you work in a 9 to 5 or a corporate executive, you can do a 15 minute meditation, or you can do a 30 minute meditation, you can find one that Best suits you. And I want you every day to then practice rehearsing that script. But you're not going to be left alone. If you listen to my guided meditations, I'm actually going to first slow you down out of beta and down into alpha and theta. So I'm going to get you there. You can imagine I'm almost like your hypnotherapist. And then when you're there, I'm then actually going to guide you through a wonderful scene. And in that scene, I'm actually going to ask you to visualize your future. And you can then at that point, go to your script and start rehearsing the start, the middle and the end. And you can try all my meditations. Now, here's another secret. If you struggle with the feeling, or even if you struggle visualizing, talk yourself through it in your mind with your eyes closed, of course, just talk yourself through that scene and that will help you stay on the scene. And if you struggle with emotion, my advice is to put your hand simply on your heart. Because where you place your attention is where you place your energy. And just that simple act of putting your hand over your heart will slow down your brain. Your heart will start to communicate with your brain and say it's safe to create and then bring up something that's emotional. So maybe a family member, for example, just get emotional. And when you get emotional and your brain just slows down, it's so much easier to then visualize. Now, here's the big thing. I want you to know that if you're meditating for the first time and you think, I can't do this because every time I meditate, my mind just wanders off and I think of the thoughts, I want you to know that that's completely normal. And it doesn't matter how good you are, you're never really going to stop thoughts. But as you slow down, thoughts become less frequent. Now, here's what meditation really is. If your mind gets lost on a thought and you become aware of the fact that you're no longer on my guidance, but you're thinking a thought, any thought, that awareness right there is meditation. So all you need to do is bring yourself back to my guidance, and that is the practice of meditation. And the more you do it, just like working out at the gym, you'll get better and better. So, just to wrap this video, here's the real secret with this. When you slow down and you get down to alpha and theta, and your brain and your heart and are working together beautifully, I want you to imagine that you're not haphazard anymore. You're not sending out this really crazy signal that the universe can't understand. You're sending out a beautiful, coherent stream of energy that's very much in alignment with your vision and beautifully knocking on the door of that universe. And all I want you to do is practice that over and over and over again. Shop every day and keep mentally rehearsing that future. And then get up. Don't try and force anything into fruition. Just carry on as if you are really feeling those emotions. And when things start to manifest, then start to modify that script. So, like I always say, on your journey to manifest your best life, try not to see this. And as a destination, manifestation is always a journey because you are always in a state of manifestation. So to best support you on your journey, make sure you do a couple of things. Firstly, make sure you're signed up to my weekly manifestation newsletter. Every week I'm going to dive into an insight and break down the operating system behind that so you can sign up over on my website or the link below. Secondly, go over to my Instagram and make sure you're following me there. I'm regularly posting multiple pieces of content every single day. Make sure you subscribe to this YouTube channel. And like I said, if you are really serious about meditating to manifest, then make sure you check out all of my guided meditations, which are either available on my website or in my Evolve Manifestation course. But like I said, if you believe that your thoughts have some form of an impact on your future, then I'm sure you'll agree. Now, you've listened to this video. You shouldn't skip a single day mentally rehearsing your future. And that right there is the art of meditating to manifest your best life.
