Vivi Assessments

Tutorial on using VIVI Classroom's assessment feature. Learn how to set up assessments in the VIVI app, choose question types, control timing, and display results to students.
Another unique VIVI Classroom feature is Assessments. While the VIVI Assessment tool does not replace formative assessments, it can be used to gauge student learning in real time. While assessment questions are not created in vivi, VIVI assessments can work with any assessment questions you may have. For demonstration purposes, we will use a question already created on a Google Slide. Share your screen so that the assessment question is visible on your classroom display. From the VIVI toolbar, select Home, then on the home page select Assessment. This will pause the assessment question on the display while you set up the assessment. Select the options for your assessment Multiple Choice, Alphabetical, Multiple choice, Numerical, True, False, yes or no or freeform towards the bottom of the page. You also have the ability to set a time limit from 15 seconds to 3 minutes. This corresponds for how long your students will have the ability to answer the assessment question through their VIVI app. For our purposes today, we will use the Multiple choice alphabetical option. Once you select the type on the left hand side, more options will appear on the right hand side. To finalize your assessment, select the number of answer choices to choose from and whether you want the correct answer to display. When ready, select Start Assessment. Once the assessment has launched, students will see their VIVI app display a ribbon with the corresponding answer choices on the homepage. Once the student selects their answer choice, the assessment bar will disappear from their VIVI app. The teacher will be able to see the results as students answer the assessment. Under the Participant column, the teacher can toggle the Show Hide option to see the specific student and their answer choice. If there is no time limit set for the assessment, the teacher can select Stop Assessment. When done, the teacher can also choose how to display the results, bar chart, pie chart, or details. When ready to end the assessment officially and resume other things, select Stop all and the far right upper corner. All assessment results are saved to vivicentral for teachers to access at a later time.
