Mastering the Foundations: A Deep Dive into SuccessFactors Employee Central Data Modeling

Dr. Niladri Bihari Nayak walks through SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central data modeling using a railway logistics case study. You'll learn to set up legal entities, locations, departments, and cost centers, then move to a challenge platform with 150 hands-on exercises across corporate data, succession data, and position management.
Chapters
So welcome back to our original case study which we're discussing. That's a really logistics case study for TCRL, for our half, the case for Embrace Central. And in the earlier sessions, we already talked about the different types of objects. There are different types of data model we talked about, right? Just doing a quick recap. So we started about corporate data model, section data model. They are country version, country-specific corporate data model, country-specific section data model, right? And this is the first thing which we talked, right? There is a key foundation object also. We understood how to create those foundation objects, right? Legal entity, business unit, department, job classification— different, different objects we have seen there in corporate data model. Similarly, for succession data model also, we have seen that there are different core HRIS elements which have already started, right? And this is a summary of it, but then also the object-wise, we have seen that succession data model here. So we have employment information, personal information, and all the details we have seen there. So these are the details, things we have seen. And I've also already asked you that you create all of these things in your system, right? The personal information is a series, and similarly for employment information, these are series actually, okay, which is something you will be creating in your system. And according to that, you have to update in your system as well, right? So this is what exactly I have expected that you have to complete within your system. And for specific TCRL case studies, I have given, uh comparison also, side-by-side comparison of EC and AEP. This is the place. And we have a copy data model. This is the copy data object which we're talking about. And these are different, uh, list of things which you do have, right, as for this case study, right? So this is what exactly expected from the case study to complete. And you have to create all of these things in the system. And I will give you some small example, by the way, so that you can be also aware of it. You will be also watching this later point of time. If you have that, miss a session, they will be also understanding how exactly these things are created in SuccessFactors. Okay, so we'll be starting with today the CDM, corporate data model, specific point. From that point of view, there are these different, different units— legal entity, business unit, and all these things— how these things are created, right? So I will be showing some examples. So if I go to SuccessFactors system, so legal entity, this is what kind of an object. So we do have a segregation of objects as well. So there are different types of objects we do have. We do have a foundation object, we do have, you know, Typically we have generic objects and also from an object point of view, right? So you have to understand. So I will clarify that, what is the difference among those, okay? So we will see that we have a foundation object. I talked about already about this foundation objects versus generic objects. Okay, and inside this we do have a basically the— they follow an MDF framework, right? So we will see that the difference, we will see that difference in table format so that you can easily grasp it, format specific to our case study, because I do not want a generic difference like a theoretical thing. It will be aligned with our case study. Okay, with examples of PCRL case study. So this is sometimes whenever I'm going to be teaching these things, whenever we will be taking the practical case studies for that case study itself, whenever you're talking about, right? So every time it will be changing depending upon the case study. So currently we are running this case, but the concept is remain the same, right? So this is what exactly the AI Codex we will be submitting in our ecosystem, the platform. So let's see what it is bringing in. Okay, so you'll be utilizing this only in our— whenever you're doing the hands-on, and we will be creating all of these things directly in our platform. Okay, so I think it has already populated those pretty much whatever is needed with our examples, whatever it has taken, right? So as I say, the key difference— so foundation objects are the pre-built standard data structures which are already created, while generic objects are the MDF. They follow an MDF from framework. It is, uh, the custom one plus whatever SAP is creating. The all the new, new objects, whatever SAP is creating nowadays, everything is an MDF-based generic objects, okay? So in this way, we'll be understanding these two concepts, right? And there are some of the examples with the example of our case studies, right? So these are the different examples they already talked about. Foundation objects, what is the cost center, generic objects, what are all of this thing, right? And when to use each, okay? And already have them answered here, right? So when to use foundation object, when to use the generic objects, right? So all the details, whatever is really required. Okay, so this is something based on our— this thing. Okay, and how we can utilize all of this thing, right? So this is the way we have to understand. So anyway, this notes will be getting updated and I will again verify based on this content, based whether it's aligned with our case studies or not. Right, so this is the way we will be understanding this. Okay, so this is the first thing first which you thought of sharing with you today. Then meanwhile, we have, uh, all the remaining details. So as we see, these are the pre-configured SAP standard objects. Okay, but here generic objects in MDF is custom objects created by metadata framework or client framework. Okay, when it's a custom objects, what are the new things SAP is creating? That's actually a generic object nowadays. Okay, and all the details they're given. I'm not going to read out everything from here, right? But you will be having a lot of additional things, uh, okay, performance and all these things, right? So we will be— you will be going through this difference and everything. So the idea is here, further again, so there is a concept also known as the legacy MDF. So MDF also, there are two types you'll be finding. And so you'll be finding more details in any— anyway, I would recommend to go through the this topic within your official learning curriculum. So where exactly they talk about the difference, and if you see there is a already available, okay, this kind of a diagram, right? And they also talk about here exactly what is the meaning of each and everything and where exactly to configure, okay? So original job is structured, all this, these are all foundation objects, right? Then we create them or configure them using either a Corporate Data Model using XML, or we go there if it is, uh, you know, uh, new, okay, any of these objects, okay, we have to go to the COD, Configure Object Definition. If it is an MDF, I will say, right? So if it is, uh, so as I say, Foundation Objects, what they have doing it, they divide into two part again. So Foundation Objects, your, if you talk about it, so you will see here, this is a diagram, very important diagram which you can recollect always, and you can take a snapshot of it, or you can basically— what you can do in your learning journey itself, it is complementary, you'll be finding in the SAP learning journey. So whatever the blue color you are seeing, these are the objects, foundation objects, which are managed using the configured object definitions, okay? But the golden color, whatever you are seeing here, those are actually— so here, if you— I'm just highlighting these golden colors Okay, location, geo, location, group frequency, pay grade, pay component, pay component group, event, reason, workflow, dynamic. They're all managed to the corporate data mode, right? So these are the different structure. How do you manage them actually? So you will be finding the transition which I've already talked about earlier as well. Manage organization, pay job structure. Okay, manage organization job and base structure. So this is our transactions, these actions. So I will say where exactly you can manage the data part of it, right? So this is the place, but the configuration part of it you will be doing it through the XML or data model, or there is an import option. So you'll be having, right? So here you cannot do them manually one by one as such, but you can— data you can— suppose I want to create a location, right? Okay, so I will be creating a location specific to our case study. Okay, so let's say in our railway logistics case study, the TCRL, what locations we do have. Okay, so you can see that I will be going to this one location. Okay, so we have locations in, uh, in India and Canada, right? So let's say I'll be creating this location, Vancouver. Vancouver Terminal is the location, right? So simply I will go here. So, so I will be— will I be able to create it directly from here? Okay, so yes. So here I have to go location. This is an existing location, I can see it from here directly. Okay, but you want to create— this is a data, this is not a configuration, by the way, right? Suppose I want to create a new location, I have to create— come here, right-hand side, create location from here, and it will be asking me to fill up all of this thing, right? So what I will do, I will be putting here all the details. Okay, okay. So it will always, uh, best practice to use this 1900. And what I will do, I will update this Basecamp. Okay, so basically locations here, this is the Vancouver Terminal, and I will be utilizing that code. And we do have a Vancouver Terminal here, that is the location name. Location name here, and this is also— I will mention here Vancouver Terminal. Okay, then status is always an active one, and for the details, I don't think it is required as such. Okay, this is the address details of it, and we'll see And I think it has not asked me for that, but it is okay. I will mention that here. Okay, and status, I'll make it active. The remaining things, time zone and also geo zone, it is actually has given, but the geo zone is actually I have not created, right? So that is something at a point of time I will do it, but for now I will keep it like this. Legal entity, I have not created. So basically we have to follow a structure. So I'm just showing you a random example how do you create it, but I will be leaving up to you. Once you create the legal entity, you— this box, this plus button, you have to click and you assign that legal entity. But how do you do that? I will quickly show you that as well. So I will choose here the country here. So country here is Canada, so I will select Canada here. And all the details also came here, okay? The address line, everything. So I'm not going to do that everything here. right? So here maybe, uh, let's see, Vancouver is a— this is Nova Scotia. Okay, if you have the details, you can always fill it up. So I'm not doing that, but you can always do that in a, in a project, right? So simply for now, I will, uh, save this much only. Okay, so now my location is ready. So the thing is, this is just an example to show you that exactly where we exactly we create. This is a Foundation object, by the way, this is the foundation object. So I have not created completely, but at least whatever is minimum things required, I have created for you. Okay, so this is how you can create one of the records from a data perspective, right? But also if you have to create multiple things, which you should try, I would recommend to do that because I do not want you create one as a manual process. But if you're having more than, okay, one or two like that, do not follow a manual process. Maybe there is an option, so there is an option called Import Foundation. Object. So you can utilize that. So using that, you can definitely do, uh, it's quickly. Okay, so you can utilize this Excel. Okay, there's an import foundation and data. So if you go here, we have a template for everything. So this is a different template location for this many types of foundation data. We do have templates. Okay, so here you can find out those templates, and what you can do is, uh, So here we do have all this, uh, location, pay component. Okay, so for that we do have a downloadable CSV templates here. So simply you can go here, download that template here directly. Okay, and for that template what you can do, you can choose the template location, pay components, everything whatever is really needed, right? So here select that template, okay? And, uh, you will be getting, uh, options, okay? And choose that template to be downloadable file like this. Maintain those sheet, then you can simply complete, come here and you update, choose the file and click import here, right? So in this way you can prepare this files, and this is how we can in a bulk you can also import the foundational data. Right, these are all foundational object-related topic, right? So what we have seen here, okay, these are your foundation data. This golden colors are maintained using this principle, right? But if you talk about the configured object definition, so in that case we have a different way. So in the configured object definition, we maintain the— you are typically, if you go to all the blue color one you will be creating those objects again. So configure object definitions. If you go here, so here, if I go there, object definition, and if I go to legal entity, so we talked about legal entity, right? So legal entity is a your legacy foundation object which is using the MDA framework. Okay, but you can find out here legacy legal entities and all, but this is a structure for it, not a data, right? So if you have to see any of the structure of this object, you can come here, especially the blue color one. Okay, legal entity is here, right? This is how the legal entity looks like from a structure point of view. Okay, and and it will be having— there are, you know, effective date fields, there are MDA version, the legal level, all the details are here. And these are different fields we do have, okay? Like, uh, which country it belongs to, which location it be started, and all these things, okay? Entity ID, record ID, everything is here. Similarly, we do have also an association. So legal entity will not be independent, it will be connected to a country. Right, definitely. So you can see that, so USA, Russia, okay, or France, okay, all this is actually connected to it, with it, right? So similarly, if any security point of view, all those things are here. This is the category of MDF Foundation Object. It's called a MDF Foundation Object. They're also a Foundation Object, but the category is called as an MDF Foundation Object. You'll be finding them here like this, a predefined category. To contain the permission. This is the MDF Foundation object. Similarly, if I go for the next one, like here, but if I want to create a data for it, how do I create? So I will go here to another window and I will be searching for the Manage Data. From Manage Data, I should be able to create a data for my legal entities. Okay, so I will go and create there, Manage data. So if I go to manage data here from, from this place, I should be able to create the case studies based on that entire data. So if I see legal entities here, definitely I will be able to see that here directly, okay? And you can see that a lot of details, things are here, okay? All the— so there is a Best Run Canada, a model company for for Canada. So you can see that it is already there, right? Something is already has been created, right? Similarly, we can also create a similar entity for us as well. So maybe we will be, uh, copying this, okay? Because Canada is already there, right? What we can do is simply I will copy this, and legal entity ID is what? For us, for us, the legal entity ID is this one, okay? LEC001. Maybe this one I will be leave it up to you because you'll be creating— we'll be creating another legal entity code, okay? Which is a dummy one. So I'm not going to create this one. Maybe something else I will be creating. Maybe 03 I will be utilizing. For you, maybe you can utilize the 01, right? So that this is my— is as an instructor, as a mentor, this is my legality for our learning point of view, which you actually are practically implementing. So I will say that, okay, so maybe some other name I will be utilizing. So I will be utilizing TCRL So you will be utilizing the same name, okay? But I will be utilizing a, let's say, TCR level, okay? So I will say Coach because I'm teaching. So I will be utilizing something like this. It's all right for our training purpose and understanding purpose, but you will utilizing the real name. So you do utilize the real name as it is, okay? But for now I'm utilizing this, okay? So remaining things actually I will say this is a railway logistics company, so maybe I will follow the full name. Maybe it will be, if it is there, TCRL, TransCanada, Transcontinental Railways Canada. So something is like this, I will utilizing it. Okay, so it's okay. So this is the one which I will be utilizing, but this is how you'll be creating this data as well. Right, so this is done. So now status is active, 40 hours is the timing, because these two things I do not have to worry because I copied, it's automatically done here, right? But other things actually it's really required. So if it's really required, you can always— definitely we have to go from an information point of view to collect all of these things from the business, and that is something you can utilize here, right? So what kind of legal entities, the name format you'll be utilizing, first name, last name, or middle name, this one. So whatever is really required for you. Right? So you can utilize those things. Okay, then I will simply save all of this thing. Okay, so this is how a legal entity can be created. Okay, so now this legal entity, what I will do, I can also utilize in some other places also. Okay, so this is, uh, I have created, and according to that, because I have already created, I think, so you will not be able to create the same thing here. Maybe you can utilize some other number. So that is something you can do. It's not necessary that Whatever IDs, the synthetic data I have given to you, do not have to follow exactly the same. Maybe some other code you can utilize and you can utilize the same. So this is for a reference, okay? These are synthetic data which you have prepared and you can utilize this, okay? So now I am going to create a business unit out of it. So business unit also, I will be utilizing the same thing. So I will go here and refer a business unit. So business, how does it look like? So we will see, verify that whether it is an MDF or which Or typically, what kind of, uh, these things are here, right? So if I go here and, uh, business unit, so here I can see this is a, uh, if I go scroll down a bit, so we have a security, we have, uh, this is an MDF Foundation object once again, right? So this is how, so the structure of what kind of associations, but there is no association as such for now. But this is the how you will be having here for business unit. But how do you create and manage the data here? So if you find here the business unit, here directly go here, business unit, and you will be able to create a business unit out of it. So you'll be first of all see the business, how does it look like, okay? Suppose it's a Global Consulting Services, so you'll be seeing that GCS here, right? It has been created already for you. Right, but how do I create it? So maybe I will be creating from the right-hand side. So I will be going and go to Business Unit, Business Unit, and from here what I will do is the start date. So I will be utilizing 01/01/2023. So this is a dummy date we're putting here for every company. So you're utilizing whatever you are having in the case study. So maybe I will be utilizing something which is not there. So this is how I will be creating one. The remaining things you have to create, okay? So this is the one which I will be creating. Let's say business unit code, this is the business unit name. Then head of unit, I will leave it up now. So let's say for this we have— this is an optional— this is a not an option, I will say somebody has created actually as a part of the case study. So this is a kind of a custom field, right? So let's say I'm having, uh, okay, so I will save it now. Okay, so now this is actually— we have created a business unit, the data actually. Okay, this, this is the way you have to create. So I'm not going to create all of this example, but you will be seeing most of the objects here only— division, department, uh, cost. So you just figure it out, right? So you have to create similarly for all of this thing. Okay, so I'm not going to create everything, but it's just a data entry or data. You can utilize all of this thing, right? And based on that, you have to create this, the structure of a company. Okay, these are the very basic thing, okay, which we have to manage, okay. And you should be able to create using the same principles here, okay. And some of the concept also I will recommend to go through this, some of the interactive, you know, instructions here as well, and which is something you can learn from this directly, right. So this is a very common thing which is summarized today, right. So basically we talked about two types of F4. F4 stands for Foundation Object, right. right? And we talked about two parts of it: configuration or managing records. So whatever we have seen, the managed data, these are— we are just managing the record or managing the data, right? So this is exactly in this interactive action we'll be finding here. So I recommend to play with this interactive which is there in our learning, you know, in your learning.sap.com platform. Is it free? And here, if you understood correctly, XML-based F4, That means which one, okay? We have a typically in the configuration point of view, whether you update in the corporate data model or in the country-specific data model. But if there is an MDA-based foundation object, you do it that using your typically, uh, here you go to configure object definition and create that configuration which you've already seen. This is the configuration part of it which which we have seen, configure objects. They're all MDF-based foundation objects, what we have understood, right? But from a managing records point of view, these are something we do it in a managed data, okay? Or we do it from an import/export data also. This is a— just like we had an import, uh, foundational data, similarly we also import and export data. That means it's an MDF-based FO, right? So we will transition for that as well. So we have a transition known as here Okay, import export data. So if you go here, import export. So this is the one, import export data. And from here, what you'll be finding, you'll be also finding here all the templates, okay, to perform. So you'll be finding here the templates are here, download templates. And you download all the templates from here. Whatever is really required. So here, let's say you want to have a legal entity, definitely one is there. But if you need a business unit, right? So almost for everything you would be having a generic of— so all the objects, and you'll be finding the template. You can download, download the— after downloading the template, after filling the template, you simply select call import data, and from here actually you can choose the file and upload it, import it from here. Right, so either you can do it this— in this way, or you can go to the Manage Data and from there also you can do that. So you have both the options here, okay? If you have to do it manually, okay, or edit or create, or you can do it and import in a bulk way, right? This is what exactly this retractor is talking about. And similarly, managing records in XML, as I said, you can utilize your Import Foundation Data or Manage Organization pay and job structure. So in this way, it is very much interesting. This is the thing which I would recommend to practice as many as time, right? It's very interactive and discussions, and this is something you can try, right? So this is the way I would highly recommend to go through this, and definitely it will be helpful for you. Okay, so this is, uh, how we do it. And in this way, basically, uh, we, uh, update this. So this is— I will highly recommend go through this detail, okay? And couple of, uh, okay, another thing which you'd like to highlight today is, um, here. So whenever you're configuring all of this thing, right, within the Employee Central, so these are all the topics which we already discussed, okay? If In the legal entity also, we have seen that there is a field called effective dated, right? So where exactly will you see that means it is an effective date, right? So where you will be seeing that, so if you go to any employee, so let's say randomly any employee I will pick up. So let's say I will take up, uh, this employee Pamela, okay? So for this employee I will check a couple of fields in her people profile, right? So if I go back to this, so let's say, say you're talking about Canadian employees, so you'll have to pick up someone from Canada also, okay? So to ensure this person is relevant, okay, is working in a— maybe I will pick up Jennifer, okay? And imagine she is working for TCRL, our case study, okay? So she is working there and she's an HR. And if I go to her profile, I will be seeing there is a circle button here everywhere, right? If I go here and I can see that the data has been changed for a while, okay? So you can see that. So it will come up here, it's still loading. So it is, uh, if it's effective from 10th of September, okay? So it was updated, right? And the data is effective from 10th of September 2012. Suppose I want to have a So let's say address also, you can see that. Okay, so let's say she has moved from Halifax, okay, the look, our previous location, to Vancouver. So let's say she joined, okay, and it was her previous company and sound, she joined here, okay. And, uh, so there are two options, okay. So the best option is always here where you can go and update your data, right? So if I go here, so let's say I want to change certain thing, right? I can come here. So not the employment, sorry, actually the wrong option. So maybe I will be choosing the other options. Let's say your all of this, or let's say I want to change certain things, okay? Uh, related data or something else. So let's say changing from with effective from 2nd of January today, right? And we would like to change maybe some locations, maybe something else, right? So I can do that here. So let's say instead of, uh, default location, I can come here and I can update the locations here. So let's say Vancouver is already there, right? So I can come here and I will update accordingly. So you can see that automatically what is happening, this data has been changed here. So automatically the your time zone has been updated, right? So this is also called as propagation. So that means the data is whatever is getting here, if it is somewhere it is utilized, right, that data also is getting changed here, right? So this is the way we'll be understanding this in case our business unit is changed, right? According to that also, there is some impact. So let's say her business unit is this one, engineering, okay? And according to that, so we will be also having— so there is no division for that, so you will not be seeing whatever is relevant, that will only come up here. Okay, so it is linked to this real estate maybe. Okay, and according to that, the department also has to be impacted, right? So you're finding for this there's no data, that means there's some issues with this data, we have not prepared the data for this. Okay, so for the reason I am saying that utilize the synthetic data which you have in the case study. So in this case study, whatever the data we are having, you can prepare your own data or you can utilize the synthetic data which I provided in the case study, right? So these are the case studies, all the synthetic data here. So I highly recommend to prepare with all of this thing, but concept-wise, you try to understand whatever I've told to you. We already talked about the propagations, okay? So you're changing certain things in one field, the remaining fields also getting impacted. That means they're all connected with each other, right? So that is a concept known as the propagations which you must understand. Right? And I think that is what exactly they are talking about. But from a definition point of view, what you will be seeing, these are different, different fields here, right, which are effective dated. You can see some of them are effective dated. So you'll be finding that here in this section itself. So if I go further, you will be seeing where— if I go back to the Configure Operator Definition again inside this, so you will be seeing there is something of effective dating. That's the basic, okay? It's already effective. Effect start date, and this is the effective— it's a date type, and you'll be finding here the details about, right? And similarly, what they're talking about here is exactly— so this is the details. If you want to put it, you will be able to see that as well. Similarly, currency description, whatever they are talking about, right? So this is one of the most important field, and you will be finding accordingly whatever it has been defined here, right? It will be reflected in your— as I said, that in the managed data right? If I go and see the managed data here, and I will be able to see here, right? If I go here, the managed data. So inside the managed data, if I see here, and if I find here typical, that is your legal entity, same example, the structure which I was talking about, same thing will be reflected here as well. So which is something for Canada which we have created, right? This is the one which you have created, right? Which I have created actually. So this is my version of Coach TCRL because I have created this, right? And you'll be finding the structure, whatever structure we are having here, right? So here, if I see here, the start date and legal entity ID Okay, all the fields, right? So let's start at legal entity ID. So you can see that. So if I go here in the configure property definition, if I go to legal entities, you'll be exactly finding the structure of it. So this is what exactly they mean to say, right? And, uh, here legal entities, and you will be finding that field also here. Okay, so this is the legal entity code. Effectivity rating, status active, level is legal entity. So what are the fields you are seeing here, right? You will see here as well. Start date. So let's say I want to see the all the details. So we have a name, description, effective status, okay? And all the details you will be finding here, right? So the name, okay, everything. Different locations. Okay, so all the details, if you want to change something, you can come here and you can make corrections, and these things will be editable. This is how you can do some changes if it is really required based on your customer requirement, right? So if I go here, so you'll be finding quickly the details about it. You'll be finding all the details from here, right? Parts would be here and parts will be here. All the details, okay? Similarly, so I'm not going through all the objects here, but you will be finding all the details here, which are the fields we are having here. It's a name, okay? And legal entity name. Legal entity name means which one? So if you see level, level is equal to legal entity name. So this is actually coming from here, okay? So this is the legal entity name, that is the level, okay? And this data we have prepared using the managed data. Configuration, right? So this is what exactly you find in the level, okay? And same goes with your any other as well, okay? So you will be finding, okay, all the details, okay, here directly, right? And the remaining fields, okay, whatever the fields you are seeing, you will be finding here, right? So this is how the structure of it and the data of it Okay, and how we can utilize it, and according to that, it is reflected here. Okay, so this is how you would be doing all the testing like this, okay, whether it is working properly or not. It will definitely, but from an understanding point of view, you have to go through this. Okay, so this is what exactly we do have on all of these configurations. So I'm not going to discuss everything. So this is the understanding, you have to go through this topic, okay, once again. And which is designed to all the 4 types of what we already discussed. Foundation of this puzzle I want you to solve today, okay, or tomorrow. So whenever you are watching this, and if you're watching the recording also, try to solve this puzzle so you'll be helped. So I'm not going to do that because this is a learning journey which is again not official with SAP, and we'll be focusing more on the practical examples, which is exactly which you are doing, okay. So this is the way, and some of the tasks also they have given here. You can try those tasks also. Creating a picklist, creating, you know, any other specific thing you want to do it, right? But whatever the exercises are given here, that's more than enough, okay? So you can— for doing the exercises, you need to go to the challenge platform. So basically, in our school platform only, we do have a challenge module, okay? As I said, you must complete it within next one week, okay? So especially the data model part of it. Then we have a position management which is learning shortly. Right, so if I go to the all courses here, so we have an Employee Central. So here you can filter by challenge here, okay? And if I go here and you'll be finding there is an HR Ops challenge, okay? So from here you will be, based on your case studies, you start creating all of this thing, creating a legal entity, adding a business unit, okay? All things which I've already discussed. So there are 150 exercises Out of that, 50 is dedicated for corporate data model, 50 is dedicated for, uh, suction data model. Another 50 we do have is for basically, uh, the position management, which we'll be talking about at a point of time, right? But you can go through this 150 activities and all operational activity mostly, okay? And while doing this activity, maybe facing a challenges, just let me know. And you can also post those queries inside the platform itself, okay? Below the question, you have an option to come comment like that, and you should be able to do that as well. Okay, so that is why we have designed in this way the case study, and which is again, you have to go through and practice this as much as possible. Based on that, you will be getting confidence. Okay, I have done this, then definitely I can do anything in the projects also, right? So this 150 activities in general, you should finish, okay, maybe first 100 exercises basically I'm expecting within a week. Okay, because, okay, if you're watching and if you know, even you can do it in every one day also, right? This is pretty much useful. And for that, even if you know you want, you can put your case studies in any of the AI tools and you post it. How do you create all of this thing, right? You can use that. So I don't mind create the— I want the results whether you are doing using AI, whether you are using by yourself, it's up to you, right? But these things, all things can be done in a very fast way, okay? Previously We never had discussed that in the using AI and all of these things, but you can utilize, okay? But if you— based on it has to be aligned with the case, that is most important. The most important part is you are actually creating a project from an aligned with a standard, you know. So basically we have set, okay, it is Access Labs. So we have to follow that standard, the quality we cannot compromise. And based on that, you have to create all of these things in your system. And, uh, you have to submit each and every activities, all the 150 activities in our platform, okay, for review. And if you're facing any challenges also for every activity, below that you can put up, you know, saying that I'm facing this challenge, okay. And you can basically post that as well, right. So this is how we are going to plan. And in between, we may, uh, again having a— in between, any doubt clearance required, we have an Ask Me Anything session. So you can always ask questions there also. So you'll be having those discussions as well separately, right? But in general, this is what exactly we do have for this challenge, and we have multiple other challenges for different modules. So stay tuned for this, our platform, okay? And okay, learn on the flow— in the flow of work, they call it, right? So you have to behave like as if you're already working, okay, and a project, right? So in this way, you can learn it faster and better way. Okay, so I think this is, uh, good. Okay, so now after understanding this, so we have another segment here. So we'll see that what is left out here. So we already talked about this, different types of objects, different types of, you know, legal entity objects, or your basically, uh, two types basically talk about foundation objects, generic objects, almost MD start of that. And similarly, the based on the case study, whatever the changes you have done it Okay, if this based on that requirement, you have to come back and you have to basically update all of this thing, right? So this is a little technical, but it's not so difficult to understand how exactly we're doing it. But this is really, really important for us, right? So the last thing which is talking about is here, this is the summary part which you already learned. Corporate data model is used using the XML while the Configurable Definition is used for the MDF base, which you already understood, right? Right, so this is— they call XML-based foundational, okay? So this is the legacy one, right? But foundation objects are legacy or XML foundation object, XML-based foundation object, okay? Plus MDA-based foundation. So they are basically dividing the foundation object into two parts. One is a legacy, which is XML-based, and another is a modern one, which is MDA-based foundation object. And generic-based— generic objects are what? Generic objects are MDA-based foundation objects, plus any other MDA-based objects they are talking about, right? So this is a quick summary of whatever we have learned, okay, based on that. So we have a— so maybe I will be elaborating. So we will be having elaborative version of it in our platform, which is relevant to our case study. So maybe we'll be putting a task here saying that, uh, the examples Okay, the example which you're learning, right? So the same examples I will put in here. Okay, so the example will be your understanding the FO versus GO objects. Okay, that means Foundation Objects and Generic Objects. So I will create a page here, and inside that we will be preparing our notes here. So let me go there. Okay, so foundation of your objects. And what I will be doing this, so okay, explain as per our TCRL study. So let's see what it is throwing. The same thing you're talking about, so what we have learned, and you can refer this as a reference point, right? And definitely it will be helping you, you know, do all of this thing, right? So this is what exactly we do have from an implementation point of view. Unless until you apply it, you will not be able to learn all of this thing, right? So I highly recommend come up with these activities, fill up all of these things, update, okay, okay, all of these things. 50 activities for corporate data model, 50 activities for your succession data model, and 50 activities for position management is not needed now. Maybe that point of time I will talk about it, right? But these are those two things to actually— you can always complete, okay? So this is what exactly I was seeing, and I think That's it. Yeah, so I do not want to overwhelm, so because you would have a lot of activities, so this is something you will be going through here. Okay, then once we're done with this, what we have is next is your associations, and then setting things, additional things are here, right? Which is again, we will talk about it in the next session. And after that, we do have a few more details, so we'll already talk about be talking about all of these things. But for now, you follow the structure and in the Employee Central Academy. So you follow up to this, so configure identity, continue with the foundation objects. But exactly, you are trying to understand all of this thing, right? And definitely you can, you can help, right? So this is the way the flow will be going through and topic-wise, and all these things will be done in a workbook, right? So we have another 4 units to complete your Employee Central, and before that, I highly recommend complete, or at least the challenges which you are given. Okay, this is the challenges which are given. It's pretty much easy and you can do this also. Okay, so I think with this, uh, we are done with this and we will see in the next session with a new topic. That is, specifically we'll talk about the next part of it, that is your association. So today we talked about the propagation and we also demonstrated that And also we have seen all those objects and different, different types, and we've already seen that, okay, very, very good examples, right? So of our case study. So the next lesson we're focusing on the associations and how do you also, if anything to be new to be created, or, you know, uh, so all these things we will be also seeing those things, okay? So in this week we will be understanding this, and, uh, I highly recommend Okay, you watch this recording as well as should complete all of this thing activity. And whenever getting in this stuck anywhere, just let me know and post your queries, post your query, any issues or your success, everything in the platform. Okay, so the challenge is on now and you can practice and update those things in the platform. Okay.
