Super Class on Architecting Growth & Leadership (H2R Series)

In this YouTube presentation Dr. Niladri Bihari Nayak explores how professionals can expand their careers in the rapidly evolving AI era. He argues that career growth is no longer about linear title changes but about transforming one’s professional identity through continuous learning, upskilling, and adaptability. The talk outlines a comprehensive ecosystem called the Success Academy, which offers a daily‑themed, architecture‑driven learning schedule (Monday – Sunday) covering workforce, revenue, finance, procurement, supply‑chain, enterprise/business architecture, and leadership. The program aligns learning with the 11 GICS industry sectors and 12 architecture streams (data, security, AI, UI/UX, etc.) and organizes content into four learning‑track categories—Foundation, Execution, Growth, and Ecosystems—each supported by practical labs and sector‑specific case studies. Dr. Nayak emphasizes the need for a lifelong‑learning mindset (LLL), collaboration among universities, corporates, and community members, and the shift from static knowledge to an evergreen, transformation‑focused skill set. He also addresses challenges of low completion rates in traditional e‑learning and proposes a container‑first approach to keep learners engaged.

Welcome, welcome everyone. So thank you for joining in. So welcome to another segment, uh, where exactly we'll talk about, talking about the career expansion. So the today's term is career expansion, okay? How do you expand your career in this AI era? So that we will be discussing. And so let's then get started with, uh, let me share my screen. And here we go. So let me discuss. And also, so this is on YouTube. And so let me start the presentation. So carrier expansion, what is the term expansion mean for you, right? You can just type if you're attending this for the first time, in the chat, what is the term expand? Okay, so you must have heard about career acceleration, all these things, right? Career ladder, career lattice, lot of things, right, specific to career, especially if you're coming from SAP background. I know many of my community members, they are actually coming from SAP background, or if they are coming from any other background, right, how do you architect your career? So this is a brief, uh, we'll talk about it. So one question maybe before we start: what if your career is much bigger than the role you are doing today? Maybe you are doing any kind of role, whether you're analyst, you're a consultant, a solution architect, or what you lead, whatever can be the designation, it doesn't matter, right? But if your career is much bigger than that, what are the designation, just official designation in your company, right? Isn't it? So let's think about that. So people always think that, okay, I'm learning a module like MM SD, SAP, particular module, HR, SuccessFactors. It could be any module you're talking about, right? It could be a certification. You have already done a lot of certification. You must have learned a lot of tools. Okay, people are coming from development background like Power BI, Tableau, name it, Python, SAP ABAP. So many things you've learned, right? But the real opportunity is always far greater than that, that you can think about it. So let's today, we in this session, we think about that regarding the career point of view. Now next is your— the world is transforming in especially this AI era. It is very fast happening. You already know that our parents used to have one degree, they used to work for one company for long year, uh, one role, one skill. It was very predictable, right? But it is also pretty much linear progression. But the dual current, it is those kind of things is not happening anymore, right? So in this current world, so what we see, it is becoming more and more fast. The time is getting compressed. And the new reality, AI, you must have heard a lot of about the kind of jobs, uh, actually the reshaping in the days, uh, they replaced, uh, a lot of layoffs happening, and also new roles are coming up. The skills are also evolving faster than you can imagine, right? Automation, all kind of repetitive works going away. And so talent also should be— so for the reason we are taking this initiative to have the talent must be adaptable and not static. So whatever you're learning today, maybe you— so also think about principal strategies always, okay? How those things will be also valid for long term so that your career is evergreen in those cases. right? So, so that is what exactly we talk about. So the future is also not built up to having the static knowledge. It will be who continuously evolve, continuously transform themselves in the career, right? So with that message, with that message, one message for everyone, for 4 different audiences which we have in our community, in our ecosystem, especially students who are joining from campuses, universities, so, oh, placements are good, but don't only limit yourself to the placements, okay? Prepare for your relevance, how relevant you will be in the AI era, okay? So think beyond your university levels, whatever you are having, okay? Those scores, good grades are really good, but that will not define you. So you will be beyond your scores and grades or your placements. Prepare for relevance, how relevant you will be in the future. Professionals, okay, people who are being even beginner or a mid-career, or you're having already veteran, okay? Your future readiness will define your next decade if you want to continue career in the professionals. And you have to be ready with your all upskill, reskill. You have to be have a mindset of a lifelong learner. Okay, if you're a lifelong learner, you can type in the chat LLL. Okay, watching the YouTube, put in a comment, I am a lifelong learner, right? So that should be your mindset, right? Universities, uh, you do not become only degree factories providing those certificates. Uh, my advice would be all to the university faculties, your placement coordinators, all the professors, principals, okay? You become the transformation ecosystems. How to become transformational systems will definitely help you in this entire journey, to help you, uh, in your collab. We can collaborate and we can make you understand what is going on, right, in the market, in the industries, right? So we have to evolve. We cannot go think about the 10 years back, whatever is relevant, it's no more anymore. It's actually going to work. Okay, so corporates. So corporates are collapsing, to be honest. These days, uh, they are actually continuously, you know, they have to outperform. So if only if you're depending upon hiring process, your typical all of the training, all those things, it will not be going to work. Okay, so you have to have your capability ecosystem. Okay, and basically how to enhance their skills which is relevant in the current era. Okay, so whatever used to supposed to do in a 6 months, 9 months timeline, any of the implementations and all, freelancers can do within 3 to 4 weeks. Okay, so those kind of things we have to think about it, how we can you know, continuously grow in this capability. So we also collaborate with the universities, corporates also, helping them, their individuals, their employees, to ensure they are also on track in this AI era. So we can definitely collaborate. So we'll talk about that. Now coming to the career acceleration, the career expansion, I will say the roadmap. So it is not about only a title change, it's a transformation of your reality, transformation of identity. Transformation professional identity in this scenario, right? So you have to definitely— the must core concepts are really, really essential, whether you are doing a supply chain to procurement to customer experience to human capital to finance, whatever you are doing in your entire career, right? So we have to definitely understand, master the core concept, definitely. Then your core— okay, at some point of time you also have to practice those things, because without practice, uh, we have to call yourself a practitioner, okay? So practice, you have to practice, practice, practice, you would you can deliver the results, okay? Then you solve your business problems, think like a business consultant, business analyst, all those things, okay? Then also over a period of time, you will be leading your teams and projects, then designing the overall end-to-end enterprise solutions, who will be like an architect, okay? So that's the ultimate thing to have in a role. It could be, you may not be having a title of an architect, but the mindset will not stop you. Just like say the leadership also, right? You don't have to be, have a designation of a leader, right? But you can have the leadership mindset at, uh, from the beginning of your career. Yeah, so similar with the architect also, whether you're a learner— these are not a boundary, I will say. Okay, all this can also coexist. I am at the same time I'm a learner, I'm a practitioner, I'm the same time consultant, I'm also the same architect, right? It can be possible, but they're not, not boundary boundaries in this case of a designation point of view, from a corporate point of view, right? So now in this principle Technology experts definitely configure systems and all. So you think like transformation leaders, okay? Whenever you're becoming an architect, you are a transformation leader. You are setting the future of organizations, future of society. You are impacting, right? So that is what I'm talking about. So in this context, in our Success Academy, we have expanded in this month and in our new avatar. So in this ecosystem, we are not having— we're not a traditional training coaching institute. We are a transformation ecosystem built for the future of work. Okay, in this initiative, what we have done recently, we were— every days we are having since last 11th of May recently, we have started a new initiative. You have seen that if you have attended our any of the sessions. Every day we have an 8 PM IST, we have a prime time. Every day we have a one theme only, and so we talk about that. We connect domain, system, industry into a holistic learning program. An ecosystem. Every Monday we talk about workforce transformation, Tuesday revenue transformation, Wednesday finance, Thursday procurement, Friday supply chain, Saturday all about enterprise architecture and business architecture, Sunday is all about human transformation, your leadership potential. Those things we discuss. Okay, so now this is an entire lifelong learning platform, architecture-driven academy. We follow architectures to the T. And we are future— creating movement for the future workforce in this mission, right? So as I said, so you can scan the QR code and also these are also— I keep on promoting this in our different social media. As I said, Sunday is mostly primarily focused on your leadership identity, human potential thing. We talk about that. Similarly, on Monday we talk about human capital, hire to retire, different topics, okay, different, different topics. Not bound to SAP or Oracle or one day, not a product, you know, not a product-specific, rather in general what is going on the market in a trend, okay, based on that and how you can transform yourself. If you're an HR, if you are, you know, or in the same domain if you're working, you can invite them. If you're doing an MBA HR or if you're already an HR veteran in your industry, you can stay tuned to this every Monday to us, okay. Similarly, the next one is Tuesday is all about the customer service. So lead to opportunity journey in the AI era we talk about any customer service professionals, customer experience professional, customer success professional, sales, marketing, okay, those kind of people can be the audience for this particular series. Every Tuesday we do that, and same time we call it Revenue Tuesday, Architecting the Future of Customer Experience. We can always join this program, 8 PM IST. And similarly, for every Wednesday, we focus on the finance side of it, Architecting the Future of Finance, the value stream is the record-to-report journey in the AI era. Any finance professionals, um, any chartered accountants, any, uh, similar industries, okay, so you can invite them and you can join. You can invite new people and stay tuned to this particular learning journey. Every Wednesday, every Thursday, we talk about source-to-pay journey. It's all about the procurement. So any procurement professional, purchase, okay, those people can join this program for an operation side of it, right? Every Friday we do a supply chain— any supply chain professionals in your, in your community, in your network, you can send and invite them and join. These are all free. And, uh, we are actually talking about different, different angle of it, whether it's a career angle, whether it's— there are different, different streams I talk about. So we talk about different various diversified topics which related to the career and the idea to protect your career, protect know how you can expand your career and grow in your career. So that is the intention behind all of these sessions. Similarly, every Saturday is more focused on architectural side of it. We talk about end-to-end business transformation, not limited to SAP, LeanIX, SAP Signavio. I know there are so many tools available, and but you're not too specific, but in general, principle-based, standard-based, we talk about this. This is all happening on every Saturday. So Saturday, Transformation Saturday we call it, and initially focusing on business architecture and enterprise architecture. We take a lot of time to go through each and everything, so practically we'll be demonstrating how this works and how we can bring the impact to the society with this also. Organizing yourself, organization, and society on internet. So now next is your, uh, we also not limited to that. We also, whatever we study, learn everything, it's an industry-driven program. Okay, so we talk about there are 11 industry architecture streams. It is not my invention, rather we are following a standard, right? We are following a standard. If you heard about it, it's called GICS standard, right? So there is a pictorial representation, I highly recommend to look into that. So in the— in that you will be finding, uh, there are 11 GICS sectors, okay? So what are those? So you will be seeing here. So each industry stream builds sector-specific transformation fluency from whether it's energy sector or healthcare or real estate or IT. So energy sector, we have, we have— I'm not going to discuss each and everything, but I'll just— for the industries, which sector basically. So sector has a different meaning, industry has a separate meaning, and so how those are connected, we will see that. So there is a picture, I don't know whether it's coming or not. So this is a pictorial representation, so you will be seeing quickly. Otherwise you can simply search GICS classification, industry classification list. You will be getting that entire list, uh, and also there is a visualization. So there is a picture you will be finding there about all the GSOs which is loading. So once it is up, I will be sharing with you. Okay, so this is, uh, in this we talk about people, whether you're irrespective whatever the sectors you're talking about, energy sector or it is material sector or it is an industrial sector or a consumer discretionary sector, right? So then consumer staple sector, we talk about healthcare sector, we have financial sector, we have an information IT sector, communication service or the telecom sector, utility sector, right? Then the real estate. Okay, so these are 11 sectors. Even all the case studies, whatever we do, depending upon this sectors. And also we have respective sector streams also in our community. If you have access, you're already part of our community. You're defining those sectors, we call it, they can combine together, we call it a world of work, wow, wow, love. And inside that, all the sectoral specific understanding, we do a lot of exercises based on those sectors only, right? So this is really, really important. It's more relevant irrespective of your background and all. So you'll be finding that very interesting, and all those details are very much useful for you in a practical day-to-day life also in your career, right? So that is something you will be finding very interesting. Then next one is your understanding the 11 architectures, means industry sectors. We also focus on— there are 12 architecture streams, okay? So every architecture stream builds the diamonds to the enterprise, including from AI to security, industrial integration. So there are 12 architecture streams. So depending upon your career means that, so we can connect again based on what are the best fit for you. We will discuss whether the data architecture, business architecture, enterprise architecture, architecture. Most of us start our career in application or data mostly, okay? And if you, if you're lucky and also you may get a role in the business architecture, the beginning of it, very difficult, but I have seen people are getting application technology, the primary pretty much AI these days, okay? Security architecture, UI/UX, okay? Infrastructure integrations, domain architecture, industry architecture. So these are 12 streams ideally we focus. And this is about this also, we have a community channels for each and everything. So we call it, uh, uh, Architecture Streams, and each and every streams actually is taken care of. Okay, so in our community we talk about that, all these things focusing on this 12 streams of architecture, everything, right? So this 12 streams of architecture really, really going to save your career, and irrespective of your journey, wherever you are, in the journey, right? So this is— I would highly recommend to go through, and definitely it will be really, really helpful for you. Then comes here, after understanding this, we also have learning tracks. It is not, uh, the way we have designed our program, so it is, uh, highly, uh, we are having a comprehensive, okay? Because nobody cares about your content these days, it's all about the container, okay? So otherwise, why there is, uh, you know, only 5% completion? If you go to Coursera, you coming to sign up a learning platform. So even if you are having all those things, including me, people do not finish those trainings, those learnings. There are reasons for that, okay? So there will be— this would be always either people are busy or they're crazy or lazy, okay? I will say, okay, so whichever you are, whether you're lazy or you are not able to finish, or you are busy, or too much busy, I'm not getting time, so for accomplish, uh, tracking those learning program, or you may be crazy, okay? It could be anything, just a fun So from concept to impact, we have different 4 types of track streams, uh, track categories, I will say: foundation, execution, growth, and ecosystems. And what exactly those mean, so I will talk about that a little bit. So this 20 learning track, actually the foundation track, we have a reason, that is a product, uh, reason, or you understand the product already, already how product, service, and transformation initiatives, they are solving a real business problem. And then we talk of flow. Flow is about the process. So we have every stream, we have every track, we have a lab for it, okay? And for those labs, we actually explain and
