So welcome everyone, thanks for joining in. So we are now going to start, continue with the case studies which we are going through for the logistics company. We are going through the Basecamp on the Railway Logistics case study, and in that case studies we have already seen, uh, how the HR transformation is, uh, we are taking care and we are first on the page. We are going to implement, uh, Employee Success Factory and Employee Central. And we have already seen what is the SuccessFactors data model, what is, uh, what are different data elements. And we have also gone deep dive into personal information, how does it actually— we configure it, what is all about it, and how does we— how do we configure these things in this, okay? What, why, and how part of it, right? This already we have seen, and in details we have seen all this configuration step by step, okay? All the details, okay, with, with respect to our scenario. It is not a theoretical thing. We have seen the case studies. Based on the case studies, I have, uh, we have seen that this is how it should be working, how you can auto-generate the person IDs. This is a task for you. And also I've given a set of code for some of the business rules and all of these things, okay. And if you have missed any of these sessions, you just go through and the previous sessions. And if you're not a member of our community, if you're watching this on YouTube or somewhere else, I highly recommend that you go for our membership. The membership is very much, pretty much affordable. So now we have all of, all the options. You have to simply go to the link which I'll be sharing in the, in this video, and you have to subscribe to the Gold membership for if you want to attend any kind of a live session, Gold or Diamond, depending upon your priorities and everything, right? So you can avail all of these videos, and otherwise it will be, you have to watch the sessions live, okay, but it may not be available to you for you in a silver membership, okay. So I highly recommend go for the memberships and grab it, okay, before we upgrade this membership to the next level, right. So that's all about it, and we'll be utilizing a lot of AI and a lot of scenarios, a lot of how to use AI. I also teach, and effectively, I mean to say, there are so many people are using ChatGPT, but not the way I use it, right? So a lot of things we are actually capturing, a lot of notes, and lot of, you know, now the certification exams also going in this direction, right? So you have to very much participative, you have to very much, you know, logical thinking. Uh, it's a open book test now onwards, which we have already started long back in our school platform, right? If you have not seen the school platform, it's already since long back we have already started the challenges, hackathons, base camps, boot camps. WhatsApp, okay, a lot of other things. We have already taken those initiatives earlier, right? So you have to— if you have missed those things, I will highly recommend take up those memberships, okay? And both the school platform and hub platform will be available for you, and you will be able to access all these things, so you know, at no additional cost, okay? This is all included within your gold membership or diamond memberships there, right? So here we do have a challenges, as I said always. So you have to pick up the challenge And inside the challenge, we have all the practical case study-based, you know, activity. So all the activities— some of the activities are free at present, I have given, but very soon it will be going to be part of the membership plan. Okay, these are not again to be free forever, so some of those are very minimal. Okay, you can afford it. Okay, these are not courses, these are just challenges, as I said. So you have to go through those activities and you have to submit those activities. So I am challenging you that If you can finish, definitely something will be getting from my side, right? Because it's not so easy, okay? 150 activities in one go, it's not so easy. And at least you will require 2 to 3 days minimum. And some also, people have— I have seen people take some in 2 to 3 weeks also, okay? So all 150 activities, for most of the cases you are having such kind of challenges. So I highly recommend to go through, and you must complete it to, okay, to be confident about your any kind of an exam, any kind of interviews, or even if you are working for professional, if you are to enhance your years, right? So these are all challenges we do have in our school platform. And in the hub platform, we do have different types of challenges which I will talk about at a point of time. And we do also have consulting guides, consulting, you know, strategic architecture-specific scenarios, a lot of things we are having it, right? So now with that note, let's turn, uh, we will go through this, okay? This is already— we have completed the data model completely. So now today we are going to the next topic, that is our in the plate is the picklist, right? So the picklist, as I say, that I will be contextualizing specific to our platform, specific to our scenarios. So what I will tell that you have to— let me bring in, um, relevant to our scenarios, okay? So I will say that we will be definitely using AI for that. So I will tell relevant for our case study how picklist— and we will be building the scenario and practically we will be seeing those things, how does it work. And so at present I'm not doing the hands-on, so I will be just showing you the prompt, basically the prompt you have to use. And after that, the configuration part is super easy nowadays. Okay, so that is not so difficult. Only thing is what to configure, then why to configure that. That is understanding is very, very important for us. Then what, how to configure, how to configure it, just like step 1, step 2, step 3, step 4, like that. So easy. Okay, so, but I have seen people spending a lot of time there only. They do not understand in and out of it, right? That is not the way ideally we should study. Ideally we should, you know, go for a practice, right? So we will be going through that direction now. So we will be going in this Basecamp, okay? We already have completed all of a lot of topics. Now we will be going to the picklist part of it, right? So let me go there. In this Basecamp, whatever you are learning in the implementation journey, So let me bring it back to the main. So meanwhile, I'm running a, you know, your typical picklist. So we are following also at the same time whether we are aligned with what official guide it is saying. So picklist is nothing but your typically, you know, dropdown values. OK, if anything you are seeing in the SuccessFactors dropdown values, that is actually we call it a picklist. OK, and these are all the different options we do have. And there is an exercise, how do you create a picklist, and all these things are there, right? So we will be seeing these things in the system as well. Meanwhile, and before that, I wanted to check the case study, okay? So the take— check while checking the case studies. So in our case study, you know, because it is, um, you know, we have, uh, so we do have, uh, typically SuccessFactors, we do have— there are different, different lists, right? So those picklists, full-time, part-time, okay, and payment frequency, these are all like annual, biweekly, monthly. These are all scenarios we do have, right? These are possibilities that we can have. Similarly, how do you update those picklist values and all those things, right? So we will be going through this. Before that, let me go back to the platform and I will be first, uh, let me log into the your system parallelly so that you can understand how does it work. Let me log in. Just give me a minute. I will log into the SuccessFactors screens. So stop, pick list, a very small topic, and it was earlier we used to import and export a lot, but nowadays on the fly you can update. So I will quickly show you that as well. How do you do that? So very easy, super easy to understand. Okay. So let me first log into the system first, then I will tell you how do you do that. It is super easy, and people who are already knowing these things, you may skip this video for a while and maybe go to the next topic if you know already about what is the picklist and how do you update any of this picklist, right? That is super easy. Okay, so let me go to the SuccessFactors screen. I will just give a minute. HCM. So I have logged in, so let me share my screen for a while. So we are back. So let me share my screen. Once again. Okay, so we are in front of SAP SuccessFactors screen. Let me show you that. So here what I can do, I will go to picklist. This is— we have a picklist mappings, picklist center. So we have to go to the picklist center first. And the picklist is all about, as I say, it's all about the values, the dropdown values, everything, right? So here, as we speak, For our case studies point of view, I'll talk about— this is the case studies which we're talking about, Basecamp Railway Logistics case study which we're going through. And already we talked about data model and everything, so I'm not going to repeat again. So the case studies, uh, at present is focusing on— we will go to the learn the picklist first, then we will go to the other places. Right. And meanwhile, we have seen that, uh, we also generated few things, scenarios for you. So picklist point of view, okay, so these are the options we do have. Picklist Center, as we are saying that, and if you— some of the configurations actually specific to our scenario, our case studies, okay. So we have— and also they talked about other criteria and all the things, right? So it's a very illustrative list we have received, right? And we will be understanding this in a more bit detailed way. Okay, so let me log in. So already have logged in and we would be going to the Pickler Center first to understand what is it all about. So this is the Pickler Center, right? So we have seen that and there are in my system as I see We have 500+ picklists values. You can see that. Now what we can do here, let's say from a TCRL, for the case studies which you are going about, TransCanada Railway Logistics Company. In this case studies, we are having some requirements, right? So specific requirements that the client is having. And based on that, if you talk about here, so in this case studies, what you derived is Okay, so what we see the case study is all about inside that the employment status, pay frequency, this is very much common here. So we will see that employment status. Okay, so employment status. Okay, if you talk about, so we do have employment status, Singapore employment relationship, employment type. These are possible values. You might be wondering, well, how exactly and where exactly are you using it, right? So So for that matter, we have to go check it out. So this is something you can find out here: salaried employees, statutory placement, student, third party commission. There's a values actually, right? Self-employed and all these things, right? But how do you check all of this and where exactly these are utilized, right? So to find out that, we have to go to an employee who is from any geography. But in our case study, we do have employee from Canada and India. So we have to go to the employee who is from Canada first. Let's see that. Any employee randomly I will pick up. So let's say I will go for Canada. So here we go. So let's say I'll pick up, uh, today I will pick up Danielle Lee, hence who is the VP Operations, and she's from Canada, I believe. And we will pick up certain values. We will be pick up and go to the people profile for her, and from the profile we will be going to the specific values we're talking about. All right, so now we can see, see the VP operation, Vice President Operations in Canada. So now if I talk about, uh, the data from a data point of view, right, and if I go here, right, so let's see. So some of the values I will pick up here, okay. So this is a personal information, but what do you think that this value should be here? The employment type and all these things, right, whatever we have seen, right. So here This is all about the personal data, right? Mostly these are all personal, so it will primarily be coming under the job data. Okay, so we will go to the job data and we will try to see where exactly these things are here, right? So let's see that value and we will come back again. So let's say this is a position and organization information, and from here I can see these are the different, you know, options we do have. Uh, I can see all this information. View all. Let's see that what details we do have in this. And organization information, business unit, division, department, location, all these things are here. Job information. So we can see that salary grade, regular employment type. Okay, so this is what exactly we're looking for. Employee class, right? This is what exactly we're looking for. Employment type, if I go, salaried. Okay, where we see that So this is a salaried employee. You can see this is a value, okay? Suppose if you want to justify whether you want to— it's the right one or not, you may go to edit and you just figure it out whether the same thing is there or not. So let's say today I'm going to change certain thing today, okay? And I would like to see the job information once again here, and for that particular value. So what are the values are coming up here, right? So here, if I go here So where we have these values, you can see that employment type, okay? So here you can see we do have all these values here, right? So interns, retirees, salaried, volunteers, trainee, dedicated— so many options are here, right? So this person is a salaried staff, right? So this is the possibilities, okay? And other than that, we do also have another options we do have. So this is the one pick list. Another one we have is, uh, this employment type. Okay, employment type. If I go here, I think this is, I believe, uh, more relevant. Yeah, this is the one which actually it has been used. Okay, so you can see that there is also an external code for it. And I see this one is much— okay, which is Alliance. Okay, so salary staff here, we can see that the salary staff is here. And other values also I can predict. I can see that hourly, all these things are actually coming from— ideally from this list, not the other one, right? Training, Single Trainer. These values are controlled from here, okay? So if you are adding anything new or adding, removing anything, ideally would not recommend to move anything, anything which is standard and all these things, right? So this is the way you can check it out. So this is called your picklist, okay? And similarly, any other values where you think that employee class, suppose I want to see, okay? And these are pretty much standard, by the way, okay? Active, Consultant, Contractor, these are possible values you can see. So where can I see this employee class? Again, I will go back here, go to Picklist Center, and type employee class. As simple as that. So I will go here, employee class, and from here I can see that employee class is here. And from here I can see, go inside the picklist values. So these are my picklist values. Here you can see that we do have permanent, active, retiree, casuals, external, temporary, all these values are here. So we are talking about the active employee. So you can see that this is the values here. And other than that, whatever values you are seeing here, the same principle is applicable. So I'm not going to explain again and again, but the thing is, this is what— how will we understand in the picklist? We understood the concept, we understood the practical applications. If you want to move anything, change anything, all these things. So this is what exactly we call it as a picklist. Earlier we used to import-export, but nowadays we can simply go and change anything is required. Okay, so So more details you can learn about it. So here I will highly recommend go through the entire list. So they have already have some videos, okay? This is a theoretical part of it and some small, small exercises they have given here. Download, okay? You can basically download the template also, basically from the picklist values, prepare anything you want to do it, okay? So that is somewhere you'll be doing that. So you'll be doing that picklist actually is a generic object, okay, in our list. So if you again go back to import export data So you have to go here. Suppose in mass you want to update certain things, import export data. And from here, if you go here, so this is the place. And practically, so this is the things they will be asking in the certification exam also going forward, is scenario-based. Exactly. So you have to go here. Suppose you want to export data, right? And from here go for, first of all, the picklist is a generic object. So you go here, the So you will be seeing here picklist, picklist values here. Okay, so if I go for a picklist or picklist values, right? So I can go for anything. So first of all, I will start a picklist. Okay, I will export it. I will see what are the values. So it will be submitted as in a background job. Similarly, if I go for picklist values, so you can also also get those options here. And from here, that options you will be going here and here, here, here. I let me go. Picklist values. So if I go here, I will be able to see those. That is also getting— I will be exporting here. So if I go to the result sections, I can do— check those Schedule Job Manager, and in that Schedule Job Manager, I will be able to download those lists. And at a point of time, you have to update anything, I will update and I will import that, right? So that is as simple as that, not very difficult to do. So I will go here and I see that this is, uh, today's date. Okay, and I can see that this is already done. So simply I will go here and, uh, check it out. Okay, and I will go here, download it. So it will be a zip file, and inside that it will be stored. And if we close it here, this is the job name, and definitely that will be added into my downloadable sections. So if I go to my download, I can go here, I can go inside that job. And here we go. So we have the picklist values. Similarly, same is go for— same is correct for your picklist as well. So I will go to the picklist values here, and from this picklist values I will be getting the list of what values we do have for each and every picklist. So we will be seeing that list here, and we can update it at a point of time if anything is required. So it is opening up. So traditionally, even for small changes, if I had to do that, I have to do that. But the thing is, nowadays you don't have to. So if it is only one-time activity, if you want to change certain things, one thing, you can do it from the front end, okay? You did not go through the backend. But earlier, even if a small changes I wanted to, I had to go to the backend. So, so you can see there are so many values you do have for each and every picklist. You can see that you can basically go and there is a picklist specific ID, specific code, starting— it's a very long list what picklist we do have in the entire system, in our entire SuccessFactors. There are around 28,000 in my Excel, okay? It may be more or less in your sheet, right? But it is what we have, okay? Overall I will say, okay, so I think this is— if it changes, you can do it and you can import it. So this is the practice you have to follow. Otherwise, you can— if it is small changes, one or two changes, you can do it from the front end itself, right? So that is the way we have to go about it, and this is what it is we do have. We call it a picklist, okay? So I think that is all about the picklist. Let me check if anything is missed out here, okay? I think so. Well and good. Prepare and upload the files and all this thing. Yeah, this is what exactly SAP provides, a standard picklist, and it should be part of your typical configurations as well. So I think we are good with this. So now, okay, so this topic is there. Now as a task, what I will give to you— so certain task for you in the Basecamp. So in the Basecamp, what we have to case studies is— so as I say, scenario-based case study. So I will give an exercise here. So as a part of the this exercise, let me give you a task. Which you must do as, uh, before you go to the next topic. So the topic is today, as I say, that it is all about after the data model, we are learning about the typical, your picklist. So I will give a task for you. Picklist. So picklist is your topic of the day. And if I go here, pick list, I will turn into a callout in the pick list. So we do have give free assignment hands-on Hands-on assignment, hands-on on picklist based on and relevant for TCRL case study, TransCanada Railway Logistics, by the way, this case study. Okay, so you have to perform this and you have to submit this okay, in your platform, I will be looking at it. All right, so, so, so now picklist is done. Okay, so let me prepare this question for you, and after that we will be going to the next topic. So if you have missed on anything, if you have not done it, do not go to the next course. Okay, so you're not going to get any values. This is not a typically, uh, Reels or, you know, typical Netflix series. It's a serious thing. You are going to configure all those things, and you have to— without this, you should not go to the next topic, right? So here what I'm talking about is, uh, you have to create a picklist for departments maybe. And I don't think this is a really, uh— okay, so they're talking about one particular thing, right? But I will say whatever is relevant for you, right? Maybe the job level or something like that, you can try this. Okay, or similar thing, global locations. So this is something which is relevant. So I will say that do not, uh, use or change standard picklist. We wherever possible Use standard picklist event data type like, or entities, okay, entities like, entities like, uh, Department. What is that? Your locations. What else? So these two exist, right? So we do not have a job grades and job level already. We do have So let's see what kind of questions we can go for it. Okay, so let me go there. Maybe the shift pattern. Oh, that's a good one. So maybe, uh, extend the standard division picklist what you are already having it. So that's a good idea. So instead of creating something new, okay, you have to, you know, make additional something. So maybe certification you're talking about, right? And they're going through an AI certification or robotic certifications, all this thing, AI certification, whatever, drone pilot license. This is all about your— yeah, this is a good example, you should do this, okay? So this is a case study and which you have to order in the assignment section, you have to do it. Right, so I think this is good. And, uh, before coming to the next sessions, you just complete the understanding of this topic, then we will be going do the exercises which are actually whatever I have told to you, okay? And based on the case studies, what are the case studies you have received, based on that you do it, okay? And we have multiple case studies, by the way. So in the industrial sector itself, we have given a railway logistics, few students are doing on that. We have also Nordic case study, if you're not talking about Nordic, and we are already having a Nordic case study. So it's exactly for Sweden, and I think, um, for Norway I have given a separate case study, people who are from there. So you can try that case study. There is no hard and fast rule that you have to be the working in that country, is not necessary. But whatever the case studies which I have given to you, ideally you should give a choice, or you have to pick up a case study whichever is relevant for you. Okay, so this is something, if you need any help in that, you just let me know. Otherwise, this is how our case studies will be running, and we have already done a Basecamp case for Railway, uh, case study for Canada, and same thing will be applicable for all other case studies as well, right? So that is my advice, I will say that. Okay, and if you go for the— let me go there. I will search for that Nordic case study as well. So we are also having a similar thing and we are running an Employee Central on that. So Nordic, so that was for Norway, Sweden batch. So we do have students from there, so we have specifically created case studies for them so that they feel happy and they will be, you know, also it makes sense and relevant for them, right? If you're from India, you have given an Indian case study, it is better. right? If you're from Norway, if you're from US, Canada, we do have a specific case study for them, right? So you can see this is how exactly— if I talk about the Nordic case study, so very similar case studies, but it's, uh, requirement-wise it is slightly different in terms of data. We already have prepared the synthetic data for them, and that is where exactly you will be finding those also very interesting, okay? So I will highly recommend, okay, follow the Codex. Which I have given to you, and also follow the case studies which I have given to you. And if you're not choosing, then I will be giving— allocating the case studies for you. Okay, so that makes this all the sessions more relevant, more practical. We do have a series of user stories. Okay, I don't care whether SuccessFactors can do it or not, I don't care about that, but these are all business requirements, right? So you can see that is the kind of user stories which is talking about. So we do a lot of user stories. Okay, and based on that you have to, okay, understand, you have to capture those things in our system and you have to put in those things directly, right? So the Nordic case study which I was talking about, so this is something loading now. Okay, so this is also very, very important for us. Okay, so now I think if you are having an access, so you will be finding you all these things in our Employee Central courses also. So for that, you have to go to search for Employee Central, and from here you will be getting that Employee Central course. Inside that, it is embedded, and you will be finding that in details, right? So now I think, uh, we are done with this. Yeah, so this is what I was talking about, Employee Central. If you go to the course, not the challenge, so you have to go to the Employee Central course from there. So here we do have Employee Central. And inside Employee Central, if you go further, we do have dedicated case studies. And here, if I go— so this is a case study which we— I have given here, AI-assisted data modelization case study. And you can go through this. Okay, so this is what exactly I was talking about, and the same case study is available here, the Nordic Global case study. And time to time I keep on adding all the things. You can get the entire thing. And a good thing is that even if you do not have a membership, suppose if you do not want to go for long term and all this thing, now you have an option given to you, like you can have multiple options, like 1 day, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months. All those options are given to you. You can go for it if you are not a part of the community. Even independently, any courses if you want to go for, you can go for it also. Okay, so I made it more flexible so that more people can get the benefit of learning about it. All right, so I think this, that, that is a goal. And the next year also I'm targeting more and more people, uh, learn, okay, implement, okay, and they win in their job and whatever they're looking for, right? So that is the intention set for the next year as well. And as usual, and you have to go through that. Okay, so this is what exactly I was talking about. And, uh, okay, so I think we are done with this. This is the Basecamp which I was talking about. So I think picklist is enough for now. And if you want to learn more about it, definitely there are more than so many guides are there. In the help.sap.com. From there you can learn more about it, or if you want to do more, okay, all these things, definitely it is there, right? Yeah, so this is a case study which I was talking about, uh, the— I think this is the Nordic one. No, this is not Nordic one. This is the one— okay, I think it's not opening, so let me log into another port. Yeah, this is a Nordic case study which I was talking about. It is actually a conglomerate and they are having multiple presence, multiple— they're in multiple locations in geography. And like in India, they do have a Norway, Sweden, all the Scandinavian countries, Nordic countries, they do have a presence. And so, so, okay. In this case studies, we will be visiting, you know, Canada— sorry, not Canada, this is a Nordic group, as I said. We will be visiting Sweden, Norway, and all of the relevant countries. So at present, the quarter is— headquarter of this, uh, okay, group is in Sweden, and they are, they are into multiple division, as I said, right? Business unit division, okay? They're into finance, they're in renewable energy, healthcare, Right, so a lot of other details I have given in this case studies. The data, entire synthetic data has been prepared for you. You simply go here and you prepare these things and submit your challenges, right? And I would like to see what kind of challenges where you people are facing while solving these challenges, right? So that is my goal, that so that I can, you know, help you in doing, you know, solving anything if any issues you are facing, right? Maybe it's a lot. Right, so you do not have to create everything, but if you want to do it, you can always do that. It looks like a practical thing, right? So these are all things you have to go and create in your system, in your demo system. If you do not have a demo system, just let me know and we have a partner with us so they can help you in getting an authentic demo system access as well at, you know, you know, so you will be getting that. So let me know, okay? But this is all about your typical Okay, case studies and very detailed way we have published it. And this is the— for people who even if you go for this case studies, I will— let me know. Okay, we are running every time we learn something, we are going not starting from product, we are starting from a case study, business case, then we go inside the process, their business process, business understanding, then we go for the other entire thing, right? So then we learn as a part of it, we learn Employee Central and whatever the module we have to learn. Right, so this is the process we need to follow, and this is the way we are going to, you know, enter. All the upcoming learning will be like this only. So if you enjoyed the session, so you share this video with us, with everyone, and then if you're watching it to our platform, then submit your challenges. I'm happy to see your solutions, how you have designed the solutions. Okay, because even if you're having the same configurations, the quality of submissions are different, right? So it makes sense, okay? So you can just submit those things and I will be looking at those solutions and all this thing, okay? So with that note, signing off, and we will see you in the next session. Looking forward to all of you. Take care, bye-bye.
