Now, this might not be the goal for everyone, but how amazing that we have got an entire module dedicated to becoming an educator, to leads and effective learning experiences, to run a training academy, and all of the things that come with education in the nail industry. Now, this module is going to help you no matter where you're at in your journey. So if you are already a qualified educator, maybe you are yet to launch your courses, or you have new courses that you'd like to add on to you, your academy courses already, or maybe you are in a position where you have courses, you are marketing them, but you don't have as many students as what you'd like or you'd like to kind of refine the learning experience, then this module has got lots of things in here that are going to help you. Now this module will also help you if you are not yet a qualified educator. And maybe it's something that you are considering or thinking about moving into because it gives you all the details, it gives you all of the options, and it allows you to make an informed decision about what is the best next steps for you and your business. Becoming an educator is a huge milestone and it's definitely not something for everybody. However, it will be for those who feel like they've maybe come a long way in their journey or they've learned so much and they're at a point where they would love to package that together and share it with other people and also in turn be able to expand on their own business and what they've already built. So if you're in that position, I would love for you to move through this module and see what you think. Now, the first thing to understand is that when you do become an educator, it is such a personal journey. And so what I want to do with you today is just run you through a quick few slides that I have put together for you if you are thinking of becoming an educator. So essentially, what you are doing when you become an educator is shifting into leadership. Okay? You are leading, mentor, and becoming a guide for other people. You are, you are not just teaching, okay? You're shaping careers, you're changing other people's lives. And in turn, that does come with a sense of responsibility. Okay, Now, I love this quote. This is something I heard a long time ago when I was at the very beginning of my educator journey. And it's, they might forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel. And I want you to think back to a time when you were on a course in a lesson Learning something new and being taught it by another person. So maybe it's like way back when you were in school, maybe college, maybe university, maybe you did a private course, or maybe you took a lesson in something. But I want you to think about that experience, and I want you to think about what you remember about it, what you think about key moments. I want you to think about what it was that you were learning. And I can almost guarantee that when you think back to that time, you don't remember individual points that you learned, so to speak, or individual moments. You more remember how you felt when you were in the presence of that teacher, how you felt when you were absorbing this information, and how you were made to feel by the person guiding you through that experience. And I can always almost bet that. Let's think back to your favorite lesson back in school. It was probably because of how that teacher, teacher or educator made you feel. And that's the opportunity that you have when you become an educator. It's about making other people feel a certain way, feel empowered, feel inspired, feel like they absolutely can go away and do this, but also with a balanced level of feedback, support, consistency, honesty, and things like that. And I know that you're capable of applying all of those things to your learning experience. So in this first lesson, I want you to really own your role as an educator. If you have already stepped into this, if you already have your educator qualification, then that is not what I mean, right? I don't mean stepping into your role and becoming qualified. I mean seeing yourself not just as a nail tech who teaches, but as a leader. And that might make you feel any kind of way, that might make you feel excited, the word leads. It might make you feel a bit uncomfortable, a little bit nervous. But you right now as an educator or someone who is stepping into becoming an educator or a leader, and you're a. Or who does each of these things, you set the tone for the room, right? So when you walk into a room, how you show up, how you act, how you behave, the conversations you encourage will set the tone and give everybody else permission to match that, okay? Your job is also to bring structure and professionalism. So again, you know, I talk about showing up in a room, but your courses could be online, they could be, you know, one to one, they could be group settings and things like that. But however you are leading the learning experience, you are a leader who brings structure and professionalism, okay? So that learner is relying on you to walk them through a process that starts here and ends here. You are A leader who creates a learning environment that feels calm, organized and exciting. And again, that doesn't just need to be in person. You are taking part in a learning experience right now, in this moment, going through this program. So my question for you is, as a leader, has an educator, how am I making you feel? Am I making you feel that this is possible? I making you feel empowered? Am I making you feel inspired, A sense of responsibility for the students that you have? Because that is my aim. And if, if I'm not, then I'm open to feedback and you can let me know. Okay? You are also a leader who changes the trajectory of people's career and lives. For example, you could be watching this video now. You could take what I say, you could apply it to your business, you could become an educator, or apply it to what you're already doing as an educator. And it could completely change things for you. It could change career, it could change your income, it could change your life. And as an educator and as a leader, I know that I sit here with the opportunity of doing that. And that is what I focus on whenever I show up with my students, with my members, with my learners. Okay? And that leads me on to the last point. As a leader, you are a person of influence. You are somebody that other people turn to, which is such an honor and such a blessing and such an exciting place to be in your career. So wherever you stand right now, whether it's qualified, unqualified, yet to take the step, or in the thick of it, I want you to know that you are capable of doing all of these things. And you are capable, because if you weren't, you wouldn't be watching this video right now. You wouldn't have the drive, the commitment, the dedication to your journey like you are doing right now. Because this is a module amongst many other modules of an entire business program. And there are so many nail techs out there, but they will not be doing what you're doing right now. And that's committing to yourself, committing to your journey, actually spending time learning this and applying it. Okay? So the fact that you're here tells me already that you're an action taker. And that is what somebody needs if they're looking for somebody to turn to. They need someone who isn't afraid to get stuck in. They need someone who isn't afraid to take action. And that in itself is enough to inspire somebody else to do the same. So throughout this module, we're going to go through everything you need to run your academy with confidence from Designing your curriculum to managing your students, to building systems behind the scenes so that it all runs smoothly. And again when I talk about running academy, I don't just mean having a physical premises. So if you do have a physical training academy, bricks and mortar business, then amazing. This is going to be so supportive for you, but it's also going to be just as supportive for you if you run an online academy, if you have online courses, if you run master classes that you sell on your website pre recorded, if you are running face to face one to ones. If you're running online one to ones like if you are creating learning experiences for students or you are wanting to do that, then this module is going to guide you through everything. So training academy doesn't always need to look like that physical premises, okay? Although it might do. So I want you to now take a deep breath and remember why you started. You are here because you want to make an impact and this is where that impact begins. Now I want to give you a couple of examples of some of our members students who have learned to become educators with the Nile and gone on to achieve amazing things. And here is what they said. So all of this want you to look at this and understand that these people are no different than you, okay? They're a part of this community just like you are and they just chose to do the thing, okay? So if they can do it, so can you. Now this is JJ. She owns G's Beauty Academy. She is just about to open his second salon and trainer academy and she has physical premises and she's been on three of our retreats and a huge part of members club since we launched. Now G says one of my main dreams since beauty college was to teach. Becoming an educator with NTO and open up my own academy is my biggest achievement. 17 year old me wouldn't believe her eyes and 23 year old me still doesn't. Okay, so all the limit and beliefs that could be in your head right now. Oh you know what if my students come in and they're older, older than me, I'm not old enough yet. I'm still quite young. People might not trust what I say. People might not, you know, have respect for me. Absolutely not. G is doing it right now and she is doing it so well. In fact here is a picture of her with one of her delighted students who have moved through her course course. Another person who's done this is the lovely Lisa. So she said before NTO I was a beauty therapist working from my cabin. An interesting fact is that I become part of the nco, choose a team on my vision board two years ago and now I'm an NCO approved educator. By far the highlight of my career. How amazing is that? She literally has a goal, she set it as her vision and now she's an NCO approved educator, just like she always wanted to be. I now really do believe anything is possible and the sky is the limit. Okay? So it is possible for you, just like it was possible for Lisa. And lastly, this is our Lovely Demi. Before NTO, I was a 22 year old salon owner with big ideas of open an academy and no knowledge of how to actually implement. I was lonely. My biggest achievement so far has to be becoming a qualified educator. I've gained my educator's diploma and I'm about to launch my own training appointment training courses. And guess what? Spoiler alert, she sold out. She sold out completely of her very first launch of her own training academy courses. And you can too. But first of all, we really need to get clear on who you are, why we are here to do this. So I want you to take these questions as journal prompts to start off with. And I ask you these questions for a reason. And that's because another limit and belief that so many educators out there have is that, oh, there's so many other educators, there's so, so many other courses. All of the bigger brands are offering courses. Why would anyone want to book that? Okay, but the industry right now is booming, okay? There is such a need. A lot of people think that the industry is saturated. It is not saturated. The fact that there are so many nail techs and so many educators out there simply shows you that there is a need for it. And the question of why would somebody buy my courses? The answer is really simple. Because of you. People will buy your courses because of who you are, because of your story, because of something that resonates with them, within you, that they ideate with and they want to be a part of. Okay? So these questions are really important for you to start to think about what actually does set me apart as an educator. I can almost guarantee it will be your story. Because one thing that nobody else in this world has got on you is your story. Story. No one else has had your experiences, has moved through the things that you've moved through in the same way that you have moved through them. It is physically impossible. The 7 billion people in this world, every single one of us, has our own unique story to share. Okay? And so I want you to first of all think about what is one thing that makes me different? And it does not have to be about nails. It does not have to be specific to something that is happening in your life right now. It could be something you've moved through. It could even be a struggle that you faced, a hardship that you've come up against. It could be a chronic illness that you experience. It could be an illness of somebody around you. It could be a disability. It could be a huge achievement that you have had throughout your life. It could be an award that you've won. It could be a certain experience that you faced that made you into the person that you are today. It could be your environment that you've been in. It could be the people that have been around you. There are so many different things that play into your story. I don't know your story. You know your story, right? So I want you to sit with it and understand what is the one thing that makes me different right now. Then I want you to think about which part of your journey has been the most important or pivotal. And a great way to do this is actually just to bullet point your story from start to finish. Everything that you have been through that you believe has played a part in you becoming the person that you are today. And then I want you to highlight one of those moments. Which part of your journey was the most important or pivotal to where you are today? And lastly, what are your values? What are the behaviors that show up in you each and every day? What is important to you? What are the key beliefs that you consciously or subconsciously lead your life by? Because when you know what they are, that's when you get a true sense of meaning and understanding behind the human being that you are. And actually building a really solid brand, which you will need to do around your training academy, really just comes from a deep knowing and understanding of who you are. Your story is what will make you stand out. Think about any of your friends that are in your life right now. People you've met along the way that have, you know. At one stage you didn't even know them. And now they're a huge part of who you are. And you speak to them all the time. And they're a part of your life. They're your friend. Right? Anyone who is in your life in that way is there because you resonated with a part of their story and vice versa. Storytelling is what we do day in, day out. We do it when we meet someone new. We do it in marketing. We do it all of the time. I'm Even doing it right now with you. So your story is what will make you stand out. The more you can get to know and understand your own story, the better it is going to make you as an educator, as a leader and as a brand manager. So I want you to also now, once you've journaled on those three questions, I want you to take this one away with you. As an educator, my purpose is too. And every single educator's purpose will be different, dependent on their story. Now, for me personally, I have been through a decade within this nail industry of work in every single corner of it. So I started out on an ironing board, then I was on my mum and dad's kitchen table. Then I worked from home at my first house, then I have to sell my first house. Then I went into a salon, I rented a chair, then I owned a salon that I owned a training academy. So I have worked in every single corner of the industry, right? And I at times have found it so tough. But the one thing I found the toughest was income, right? And there have been stages at all parts of my journey where I just haven't been earning enough for the import that I was, I was applying to my business, okay? And so because of that, I feel like I was put on this, this earth with a clear mission and a clear purpose and that is to allow and help other nail techs and educators build profitable and powerful businesses whilst also having fun. Because I also believe that the joy is in the journey, right? And that is my motto in life. I know that we never ever get to the end moment, okay? The joy is in the journey. It's about the journey, not the destination. And so my papers is linked to having fun and it's linked to helping other people earn more money because they're the two things that have been most important to me, that have linked back to my values, that it plays a key part of my story and not so that I can lead this purpose forever and ever and ever and ever and ever. Because it is so authentic to me that it then becomes sustainable. So your purpose can't be something that is somebody else's idea of you being an educator. It has to be something that is deep rooted to the person that you are and the educator that you believe you can be for years and years and years to come. Because when you are showing up authentically, that's when you can sustain what you are doing for years and years and years to come. So I will leave you with those journal pumps and this final question. I want you to have this locked before you move on to the rest of the module, and I will see you in the next lesson.
