A half tithe to Dairy Queen

A man working 65 hours a week in a $500 apartment felt called to ministry despite being $500 short each month. He tithed to church anyway and joked about giving a half tithe to Dairy Queen, the only place his family could afford to eat.

And so God used that first year to call me into ministry. And it was a real faith journey. My wife and I were living in a $500 dingy apartment that was small and depressing. She could only find, she was an led major and she could only find a job in an after school program working 10 hours a week. So I was working two jobs, about 65 hours a week total. And we were barely scraping, in fact, going about $500 in the hole every month for those first few months. You know, I think I've shared before that when we finally started doing a budget that we realized we were tithing to the church and we were doing a half tithe to Dairy Queen. So we had some adjustments to make.
This is supposed to be your story. I don't know why you're sticking me in the ribs. I don't know what your, what that last comment was about, and I'm sure it's not the Holy Spirit. So I, I would prefer if you just stop talking out of turn here. So, friend, could you keep your story on your own business? Could your business not intersect into any of my, not everybody
else's.
I live in a very small town in Texas, but we are big enough for a Dairy Queen. And while I don't think I've been doing any half tithing lately to Dairy Queen, I'm not saying that there's none of that. That I might now need to go recheck with the Lord and see if there's any repentance necessary.
