Two people do a sound check and discuss who should lead prayer. Speaker A calls out a double bind: wanting the boss to pray while knowing Dan usually does it, and feeling the tension between personal preference and what the group expects.

All right, so that test recording sounded pretty good. How does my sound sound to y'all? A little bit louder is more helpful? Is that better? Much better? Yes. Good. Yeah, you're more even with, with us. Good, perfect. Good, good, good. There we go. There's so many buttons to push, who knows when you're doing it wrong. Is that— I wouldn't even know where to start. Okay, so we are already recording. We're gonna We start in prayer. Dan usually leads, though, you know, I think it's up to anyone, but I like it. I personally selfishly like it when the boss guy says the prayer.
I don't know. It just makes me feel good.
And so I go with it. And if I frame it like that, you know, come on, what's he going to say? No, I'm not the boss guy. No, I won't pray.
It's always good to be humbled right before I pray.
I do love a double bind. Eh, that's scary.
