That's how free you are from falling

God makes the place wide under our feet, not a tightrope. The speaker contrasts the fear of falling with the biblical promise of safe, expansive space where you can move freely, dance, and forget yourself in childlike joy as you draw near to the Lord.

Having another year under Dan's belt and one year under my belt of not only doing this, being able to have or inhabit these kind of conversations or open up room for the Lord's kind of conversations is that there's so much room sometimes it's like unto our Christian walk in many ways, because it feels like sometimes, or it has felt for me over the years like I was on this tightrope. Like, because we hear that the way is narrow. Right. Like I was on this tightrope. Like I better not fall. Right. Like. Like that. If I didn't measure my steps just perfectly or hold my balance before the Lord or hold my breath even when I'm taking these steps, like, I might lose my step and fall. And I want you to know that in our time together and in these conversations for the rest of our time today, I want you to know that what comes up for us is those scriptures that say that he has made the place wide under our feet. Come on. Right. Wide. So that we can scale the heights. Right. We're not at risk for falling here. In fact, we're in the safest place we could be. Safest place we could be, you and me as beloved children of God, together with Christ, with his spirit. Are you kidding? What? This is the best. Right? And so my mom mentions it because I often feel that way. My mom mentions it like there's so much room. You could dance your way towards him. Right. Like leaping and bounding and circling and all the things. That's how free you are from falling. Yeah. That you could forget yourself on the way there. Like a child. You could be turning and dancing and making your way to the very safe place with the Lord. Right. With us and the Lord. Yeah. So I want to lay that picture before us as we enter time together. I'm excited to. To make our way to the place where the Lord is. Is taking us here. The room he's going to open up in the stories and where we'll find ourselves. And so, you know, first off, I really thank you for your. Yes. For your very deep consideration to the Lord. Living your life in such a way that by testimony of others you would be asked to share your testimony of the goodness of the Lord. I mean that. Right? So. So, yeah, welcome and thank you. And all the things.
