A short conversational excerpt from a YouTube video by Ricardo Molina about building B2B communities and managing sponsor relationships. Speakers emphasize that community growth requires sustained, quality-focused content (often months of consistent effort) and that event organizers sometimes need the courage to decline sponsors who do not add genuine value for their audience.

Now, the discussion around communities is about the value that you provide and how much can you stick with. What your audience told you is what they want and how you can are going to figure things out. Because basically that happens when you're building communities. You might need to stick with it for three, six months. Churning content, putting value out content. It's not about quantities, about the quality. We all know that. And that also reflects to sponsors. If it's a sponsor that is not really, truly going to add that value, then you might as well have to not let him or them go, but just wait until there's the right opportunity to bring them along, right?
Oh, yeah. And look, I've been in this industry even prior to what we're doing now for 25 years, and it takes a long, take some balls sometimes to be able to tell a sponsor no. You know, and a lot of people don't do that, especially in this past year, they're like, okay, let's do that. And I'm not going to say that sometimes we've made some, you know, some decisions that we regret looking back saying, you know, it's probably not the right thing for our audience. But I do believe coming out of this right now and, you know, for our industry to, you know, especially to evolve, that's really important.
