A short excerpt from a YouTube interview (Ricardo Molina, July 21, 2022) discussing lessons from running virtual roundtables (Mastermind series). The speaker reflects that they experimented with many formats, learned from failures, and that delivering a one-on-one (1-2-1) commercial model digitally is difficult. Success required being very close to the audience to recreate opportunities that heads of sales and national accounts normally pay for in-person.

You started running those roundtables last year, your Mastermind series. And we may have called our roundtable series that. I don't know, maybe I should admit that on tape. I don't know if you can sue me from Columbia to the States. I think I may be safe for a little bit on that one. But, yeah, I mean, we basically tested out a lot of different things. Some things did not work, but I think that's the most important thing is that we really leaned in and we tried all different things. But back to your thing on the one on one format. That's the big, you know, that was the big thing. It's that it's, you know, if you're just a straight up conference organizer promoting content and you're taking marketing dollars, we're essentially most of the time dealing with heads of sales and national accounts. And those people, you know, pay us money to get in front of potential new business. So it's not as easy to deliver it. Deliver that digitally. And the only way to do that is to be really close to your audience. And because we were closer to our audience, we were able to figure out how to make things work digitally.
