The future of virtual events moving forward / 2021 - 2022

This is a short closing segment from a YouTube interview (recorded Nov 24, 2020) between Ricardo Molina and a guest, Adam, discussing how their organization pivoted to digital events and plans for 2021–2022. Key points: focus on building controlled, studio-style event programs (to reduce reliance on government restrictions), rebooking strategy success for 2021, positive brand and business effects from the digital pivot, and an upcoming webinar on episodic marketing to extend content longevity.

So, Adam, I think that that was very useful and I wanted to. The final thoughts or the closing thought. So, moving forward, how does 2021, 2022 look for you now that you've got all this thing? What's coming up? So I take your digital pivot story worked, you're excited about it, you are reappping the benefits. So what does that mean as much as. As much as you can?
I mean, it's a great question and look, if I, if I had a definitive answer to it, you know, I'd package it up and sell it because I think everyone wants to know that right now. Yeah, I think for us, the, you know, the. When we look ahead into next year, the key is actually saying how do we develop an event program that we can control? The control is back with us and it's not in the hands of UK government or US Federal states or whatever it is. It's like, how do we control that? Really? That is at the heart of our thinking for next year and that's been at the heart of our rebooking strategy, which has been reasonably successful so far actually, for that kind of that 21 period. And that is all around saying, how do we take that studio environment and how do we apply that to a managed sort of departure from no events, as it were? And we've got a view on how that will stage and how that will go through. But as ever, the proof is going to be what are the sponsors and what are the audience prepared to back us for, as it were. So, yeah, I mean, happy to come back and talk about that in a couple of months time, if needs be.
I'm sure it will because I think the way in which your business is structured and everything you already highlighted that it's already had an added tremendous amount of value in the conversations that you had. It's having particular effects in other areas of the business. It's having specific positive effects around the way that your brand is perceived against your competition. And from my side, I think, I don't know, I've been impressed from day one. I am now even more impressed with how everything's going. And I really, really, really hope that whether with the live audience today and as we're doing this thing virtually, this should be evergreen content, content that should be helpful for everyone. I really hope that this is an inspiring story that's many will be then compelled to take such an action. So, Adam, thank you very much for that, for your time, for your effort. Before I let everyone go, I just wanted to highlight that we are having. Our next webinar is going to be very, very exciting, which is all about episodic marketing. So I wanted to highlight that because it's about how you would take webinar like this or a series of webinars like the ones that we've been running. And we wanted to share that with the audience on how you can achieve all that stuff and how your virtual events that you guys are doing, whether it's on zoom, whether it is from a digital broadcasting environment, how you can slice that down into. To extend the longevity of the promotion. Because we all know that it's not about the people that are here on this webinar session today, for instance. It's about the. The 3x times people that will sign up to have access to this information is about how do we slice this up into various chunks that we share it on social media and everywhere. And so I want to invite you guys all to attend that if you want to have a conversation about how or you need a sounding board and everything, I'll be very, very happy to be helpful in that way. I think that was an amazing story. Adam, thank you very much. Thank you to all those that stay with us until the end and until next time. Good luck to everyone.
