<LYRICS>Hit me baby one more time.</LYRICS> That was Britney Spears with "Hit Me Baby One More Time." You were listening to Z2000 FM, music for the new millennium. And now, all of you members of Generation X out there, here's a blast from the past. This one is coming at you from almost 25 years ago. Straight from the heart of the electric '80s. Remember, there were no cell phones in the '80s, so put those devices away, and there will be a short intermission between acts 1 and 2. This is the era that gave you MC Hammer, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Stone Wash denim, and of course, the Rubik's Cube. Welcome to that 2 years. Cheer up, cheer up, cheer up. You put the groove into my heart, you send the stars sky high when loving starts. Cheer up into my brain, though the pain, pain, pain's ever been the same. There's something wrong in you, something in me, like a bad little time. You made my smile like we scream. Ladies and gentlemen, my graduating class from William Ocean High School. And that little dude, well, that's me, Cory Palmer, voted the boy most likely to be married by the age of 21. And those two, they're my best friends, Kirk Keaton and Alf Huber. Look at us, I mean, those were the days when Max Headroom was cool and the Atari was cutting-edge technology. I still love looking back on my high school days. Sure, some of those names have gotten a little vague, and I haven't seen some of those faces since graduation. But when I look back at the school photos, I can still remember what every one of them is like, and I can't help wondering where they are now. And out of all those faces, there's still one that gives me chills to this day. Tiffany Houston. Tiffany was the girl next door. No, I mean that she actually lived next door to me. She was the most beautiful girl in the whole school, if not the whole world. She was also the first— whoever broke my heart. Of course, there are many others who made up our graduating class. Michael Feldman and the cool guys, old Tiffany's best friend Cindy Gibson, and of course our husky Fergal Robert McFerrin III. So there we were. It was the start of our senior year. Junior high was nothing more than a distant memory. We were young, naive, and we were having the time of our lives. Of our lives. I'm not leaving now, honey, not a chance. Heart starts chopping, oh, how much later, baby, you'll say never mind. You know my soul rules my business. My heart's a crazy story, my heart's a gravity story. Pretty kids in America, why? Pretty kids in America, why? Everybody's crazy about All right, everybody seated. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to your final year here at William Ocean High. Okay, um, Principal Ron McDonald couldn't be here this morning, but he's asked me to welcome you all with a big William Ocean High. Okay, um, for those of Students joining us this year, my name is Mr. Cocker, and I'm the head of the math department here at William Ocean High. I'd also like to take this opportunity to introduce you to your senior student coordinator, Miss— Thank you, Mr. Cocker. Our first job this year is to select our senior year president. The 3 candidates running are Corey Palmer, Michael Feldman. And Myrtle B. Farron. Now, Election Day is next Friday, and that's when each of the candidates will be giving their Election Day presentations. But for now, I would like each candidate to come up to the front and address the class. Cory, can you start us off? Hi everyone, as you know, my name is Corey Palmer, and I'd like to introduce my two best friends and VPs, Al Bueller and Curt Keefe. We have some very exciting plans for this school year, including some secret ideas we've been working on. Trust me, they will blow you away. We will be revealing them next Friday at the rally. In closing, let me just say that this will be an awesome final year, and Al Park and I will do everything we can to make sure we are remembered as the best graduating class from William Ocean High. Very nice, Cory. Our next candidate is Michael Feldman. Michael Felton, the coolest guy at school. Movie star, look stud, national athlete, captain of the football team, and most depressingly of all, all the girls threw themselves at him. Mike and his friends were the kind of guys that someone like me could never hope to compete with. My fellow seniors, this school year is going to rock! Now let me introduce you to the only team worthy of being your school 2 meters. Just in case you've been living under the rock for the last 5 years, my name is Michael Feldman. My VPs will be Billy Arnold, Tiffany Houston, and Cindy Gibson. I'm sure you smell this production, right guys? Oh yeah! Stop! I'm flammable! And that was Cindy Gibson. She was the kind of girl who would say whatever she wanted, and she knew it. She also knew how popular she was with the boys. Personally, I'm happy with one But Cindy, she has dated every member of the football team at some stage or another. Why don't you all just grow up and get with it? We're called seniors for a reason. At Rally Day, you will hear our full proposal, and guys, you better be there because there will be cheerleaders. That's my election promise to you. So let me leave you with this, friends. If you elect me as president, I'll make sure that William Ocean High will rock. We're seniors here, so let's make this the most radical year of our lives. Oh, thank you, Michael. We shall wait with bated breath, I'm sure. Our third and final candidate is Fergal McFerrin. Quiet, please. I have some important information to impart. And then there was Fergal Robert McFerrin III. Alf, Kirk, and I may not have been cool as Michael in this game, but compared to Fergal, we were Michael Jackson, Michael J. Fox, and Rick Astley rolled into one. I'm sure every school had someone like him, the guy who just doesn't quite fit in. Fergal was the kind of guy who could bring a feeling of happiness and laughter into a room simply by being in it. Senior class, my name is Fergal Bobby McFerrin III, and I believe technology is the wave of the future. I would like to introduce my deans, Laura Weil and Debbie Fox. Senior class, the '80s are drawing to a close. A recent study has shown that if the current silicon chip technology continues to grow at its current exponential rate, we could have computers twice, maybe even three times the power of a Commodore 64 sitting on our desks. And that's just the beginning! We could get all the computers in the world talking to each other using hypertext transfer protocol, the OS of the upcoming internet! Thank you, Fern! A livestream will tell us all about it on election day! Look, Mrs. Brannigan, I haven't finished yet! Now just remember, attendance for election day is compulsory! I will see you all there! I think that went exceptionally well. Hey, Tiffany! How are you doing? Hey, Cory! I'm kinda good. How come you weren't home yesterday? Taylor just did some hoops with you. Oh, I was shopping for mom with my mom. Cool. Yeah. Oh, hey, I can't believe it's finally our senior year. It's gonna be so awesome. Yeah, I'm having a blast. Hey, Cory, tell me honestly, there's this guy and— okay, I think he's gonna come straight out with it. Do you think Mikey Feldman likes you? Sissy thinks he has a crush on me. Oh, um, I don't know. I mean, he probably does. I would think he'd be your type of dude. And money. And very pretty. Mike was such a sweet guy. And he's pretty cute, don't you think? I don't know, I hadn't really noticed. Azirah's apartment, please. Hey, Tiffany! I want you to meet some friends of mine from dance class. They're gonna miss you. Yeah, belly emotions. This is Mel and this is Kim. Here to it. Isn't that neat? Hi, everyone, this is Mel and Kim. Cool. Hey, this is my neighbor Cory. So give us a walk through this place. Who are those cute guys walking in right over there? They're so hot. Well girls, that's my husband. The most rock guy in the school. The guy next to me is Billy Arnold. He's got a crush on me. The other two are Lyle and Huey. Hey! Mary, I can set you up with those two! Hey girls, what's going on? Hi, I'm Michael. Hi, Michael. This is Mel and this is Pam. They're twins. Twins? Twins? Do they have different fathers or something? Shut up, Jimmy! What? I mean, look at her! Hit her! Shut up! Oh my God! Me and the guys were gonna go roller skating, but I don't know if you want to come. That would be great. Yeah, that would be awesome. They did well at your performance? It was awesome. I had such a great time. How come you guys weren't at any of the parties? We were all working. Somebody has to keep this country running. Well, they were wild. I didn't get home till 6 AM one morning. My parents were such a drag. Mom was completely freaked out. Who? Wild? You know the pair? Oh, never again! That's okay for you. You're a guy. Well, kind of. Girls just wanna have fun! Girls just wanna have fun! You must be thankful you were able to have some fun over the summer. Yeah, we were working the whole time. It was exhausting. Well, you must have gone out to a couple parties. No, we all have summer jobs. I was flat out working here at the record store all summer, saving up to get my car. You girls just don't know how good you've got it. We don't all have daddy to pay for us when we go out and party. Which record store do you work at? Lionel Ivoca's Little Club down in the city. Little Club? That place is a dive. Yeah, I can't stand the losers that hang around there. No, it's wicked. We get to chill out and listen to music all day and get paid. Work sounds like a lot of driving. I gotta get my car somehow. You girls just wait until I'm It's played on the radio. We'll be able to buy anything we want. Cool. What's your band called? Marconi! Marconi? What does that mean? Don't know. Just something cool. Why don't you change it to something actually cool, like Boys II Men or NSYNC? Or hey, what about The Backstreet Boys? The dumbest names I ever heard. Like Mark Coney? Is that any better? Well, it was either that or the Spice Boys. Look, this band is gonna be huge. First, it'll pay for my car. Then it's gonna pay for my mansion. We built this city. We built this city on rock and roll. Built this city. We built this city on rock and roll. Say you don't know me or recognize my face. Say you don't care, go to that kind of place. Meet him in a moonbar, see him in your vice. Too many runaways eating up the night. Mark Tony Blake the mob wife. Listen to the radio, those who never rebuilt this city. Rebuilt this city. We built this city on rock and roll. We built this city. We built this city on rock and roll. We built this city. We built this city on rock and roll. It's just another Sunday in a tight old street. The reason God put you on fire. We just lost a lead. Who counts the money under the bar? Who drives the wrecking ball into our guitar? Don't tell us you need us, 'cause we're the shitbox crew looking for America. Come through your schools, not Tony Blake's —my heart. Listen to the radio, talk to a neighbor. We built this city, we built this city on rock and roll. We built this city, we built this city on rock and roll. Build this city, we built this city on rock and roll. Build this city, we built this city We built this city on rock and roll. We built this city on rock and roll. Oh, the evil medieval Easter Hardout! Hey, Gus! Hey, what took you so long? I was working on this awesome collection idea. Just one second, I'm gonna go say hi to Tiffany. Hi, girls! Hey, Cory! Hi, Cory! Great, fine. Thanks. I might be getting a new one for my birthday. So, how are you doing? Pretty good. What are you guys up to? Oh, we're just waiting for Michael and the others to finish football practice. Oh yeah, anyways, hey Tiffany, you want to come over tomorrow and shoot some hoops? Sorry, Cory, but I'm actually going to watch Michael and Vasquez football. Maybe after school sometime next week. Oh, okay. Well, I better be getting back. We're supposed to be working on our election campaign. Oh, how's that going? Wicked! We've got some pretty cool ideas. Corey, I don't know why you guys even bother. Everybody knows that Michael, Tiffany, and I are gonna win. Cindy, we don't know that. Yeah, right. Well, how's your campaign going? Uh, okay. It would be better if we could ever get Michael to sit down and talk to us Anyways, I better be getting back. Check you later. Okay, I'm back. Hey, did you see the A-Team yesterday? Of course I did. What you looking at for? Hey guys, come on, let's concentrate. Election day is tomorrow. What you talking about, Willis? Hey, Lori, pull my finger. Please, I'm still in the first grade. I was just joking around. Oh dude, you're pretty tense. You need to chill out. Sorry guys, this election is just really important to me. I mean, it's our senior year. We'll remember this for the rest of our lives. Yeah, it is flying by already. Soon enough we'll be living in the '90s. Wonder what it'll be like. I think we'll live in flying saucers and humans will be able to fly, just like the greatest American We won't be able to fly, but our cars will be able to talk to us like on Knight Rider. David Hasselhoff is so cool. He's such a man. Actually guys, I don't think a lot will change. We won't be flying, we'll still live in houses, and cars won't talk. David Hasselhoff will still be cool, but only in Germany. And the Russians will be our friends! But you know what? By year 2000, computers will run our lives. We'll all have mobile telephones that fit into the palms of our hands. Never believe a prophet. None of that stuff's ever gonna happen. A prophet is always mocked in his own lifetime. I have to go. I'm developing some software that will enable computers to talk to each other. At Bill's house. Gatesy? He's such a nerd. I can't stand spending time with him. He is a genius. One day we're both gonna make a lot of money out of computers. Mark my words. Okay guys, come on, we don't have much time. So are you finally gonna tell us what this mystery egg is? Yep, here it is. Guys, we're gonna hold a concert at the school. A concert? Why? To raise money. Our school's always short on money, right? So here's the thing. Remember USA for Africa and Live Aid? Yeah, of course. We're gonna hold a concert like that. We'll dress up like Michael Jackson and Cindy Lauper. We'll dress up our parents and we'll charge people money to come see it. Hey, that is a pretty good idea. Yeah, and we can tell everybody that all the money we raise will go towards hosting the biggest prom night The city's on the scene. Now you get the idea, dude. I love it when a plan comes together. Hey, look, they're finished. What? Hey, girls. Okay, my call for you people to be changed. We need to start working on our election stuff. Boy, and those guys are already back up on foot. Okay, fine. Go back to your house and I'll meet you there in about 7. Okay, see you then. Hey Palmer, how's your election campaign going? It's okay. Is that it? Can I wipe your feet? Oh, I'm so sorry, let me help you with that. Oh no, it's fine, it's fine. I'll do it myself. We're just meeting anyways. Hey, good luck tomorrow. Hope you can handle the humiliation of coming in second. God, he's such a jerk. Hey guys, we got a plan! All right, please settle down, everyone. All right, today Today is one of the most important days of your senior year, okay? And by the end of today, you will know who your senior president is. Now we are about to have the proposals from each of the candidates. Michael Feldman has volunteered to go first, so without any further ado, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our first candidate, Mr. Michael Feldman. Fellow students, lend me your ears. All the pretty ladies, wipe away your tears. Your future president has a story to tell. And all those losing weeps can go to hell. Let me restate, my fellow candidate. Here's how I'm gonna make ocean migrate. We are the world. USA for Africa. We're going to make ourselves forever proud. We'll put on a concert to rock this school, raise some money, make a prom night cool. The prom can be the best you've ever seen if you put your vote behind the Feldman team. Now you've seen Molly raving, kissing babies. Well, I'm going to give my votes by kissing ladies. Come on, you at the end of the line, and vote one Feldman. Your lips are mine. At the end of the day, the facts are clear. There's only one reason why you all came here. The floor is again Burgles are cool. Only Michael Bellamy can win on 5-2. Thank you, Michael. What a wonderful presentation. You have really surprised me. What are we going to do, Michael? Let's go over your whole proposal. I don't know. Um, maybe I should just drop out. I can tell them I don't want to run anymore. You can't do that. It's too late. You have to say something. Now our next candidate is Corey Palmer. Corey, is your team ready? Good luck. Um, if you vote for me, it would be really, really— Um, I guess that's about all I have to say. Thank you, Cory, for that brief proposal. Our third and final candidate is Fergal McFerrin. All right, girls, you saw what Michael did for his presentation. We need to dress this baby up a bit, so just follow whatever I do and back me up. What do you mean? You'll see. Michael's not the only one who can rock this establishment. My fellow seniors, this school has to be technologically advanced. If you vote for me, we will buy hundreds of computers, printers, and state-of-the-art software. Prepare, my friends. I am about to introduce to you the future. Virgil, what the heck is that? This, my good man, is called a CD. A what? A CD, a compact disc. This baby is going to change the face of music as we know it. Yeah, right, how? CDs are going to eradicate cassettes, which will become completely obsolete. But what about all my really nice What about the ability tapes? You'll be able to buy them on CDs. Stop wasting our time, Virgil. This is never going to take off. You can mock me, but I'm telling you, CDs will eradicate cassette tapes the same way microwaves have replaced conventional ovens. If you don't keep up with technology, you will become as obsolete as the humble wireless. The radio star in my mind and in my heart. Oh, and now he can never bend his knee. Oh, he did away with dancing, so I'm in trouble. And we remember the jingles used to go. Oh, you were the first one. Oh, you were the last one. Video killed the radio star. Video killed the Video killed the radio star. Video killed the radio star. In my mind and in my heart, he can't explain it, not too far. Pictures came and brought your art, but now they're gone, here we are. You are the Reno Star. Are the Reno Star. Can you all hear the Reno Star? Can you all hear the Reno Star? Can you all hear the Reno Star? Can you all hear the Reno Star? I'd like to see you ladies please come forward. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome this year's Vice President Tiffany Houston and this year's Senior Class President Michael Feldman. I am Rio. And so that was that. Michael became president by stealing my idea. I never told Tiffany what had happened. She never would have believed me anyways. After election day, I found solace in Kirganath, but I couldn't help feeling disappointed. I don't know whether it was the election or just the pressures of senior year, but it was around this time that I started having nightmares. It's all tied up in the 10th inning. Alf Bueller steps up to the plate. There's the pitch. He swings. It connects! Bueller has won the World Series! Congratulations, Alfie-o! Man, can you guys imagine a world without baseball? That would suck. What are you talking about, a world without baseball? I don't know, some of that stuff Purpose that got me thinking. What if everything we love is replaced in the future? What are you going on about, Ralph? Well, what if there's no such thing as Pac-Man and Space Invaders in a couple of years? Don't worry, dude, cool stuff like that will never be replaced. Yeah, man, some things are so cool, they'll be here forever. Like hyper-colored t-shirts! And Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Heroes in a half shell, turtle power! What about the new colors? Red, green, and blue! Kirk, you're gonna waste your life on that thing. You're never gonna get it out. I've almost got one side done. Just peel the stickers off! Do you guys think one would win in a fight between Darth Vader and Yoda? Man, Yoda was too short. Well, Darth would kill him in no time. Yeah, I guess you're right. Hey, but what if Yoda was like a couple hundred years younger and like really tall? Man, Yoda would still win, easy. Yeah. Hey, but what if Darth had a cold and he wasn't feeling very well? And what if— Hey, Alf, what if Darth Vader took a lightsaber and he shoved it up— Jeez, guys, would you lay off the Star Wars? You must have seen those movies like 20 times times each. I'm telling you, you're starting to do weird things to my head. What do you mean? I don't know, Cory. Well, it's just I keep having these dreams that, that I am Luke Skywalker. Hard to see the dark side of this. Hey, Cory, use the Force. Yeah, well, you need record What if we were talking about lightsabers and Ewoks? We do not. It's not all we talk about. Yeah, we talk about lots of other stuff, like— like girls! And stuff. Yeah, like what? Hey, getting pretty late. I guess you better get going. Yeah, my mom would be getting pretty worried. See you tomorrow at school. Yeah, no, it's my day off. Oh, well, have a good day off. Hey, Cory, remember one thing. Of course I'll be with you, always. The truth is, I only told them half the story. Every night I dreamed that Tiffany and I were dancing through life hand in hand. I was Luke Skywalker and she was Princess Leia. Good night, my princess. Barely a night went by when I could not have that dream. I can't believe it myself. Suddenly I live on top of the world. It should have been somebody else. But even if not I walking on air, never thought I could feel so free. Flying away on a wing and a prayer. Who could it be? Believe it or not, it's us, me. Just like the light of a new day came from out of the blue. Believe it or not, it's just me. This is too good to be true. Look at me, all in for you. Believe it or not, The leader of love is just me. The leader of love is just me. The leader of love is just me. The leader of love is just me. After our winter break, a new rule arrived with William L. Shippai. All right, um, Billy Arnold? Oh, present. Um, Lionel Astley? Present. Alf Bueller? Bueller. Euler. It's his day off, sir. Miss Spratkins. Okay everyone, I would like to all welcome a new student to our school. Her name is Eileen. Please make her feel welcome. Let's show her how friendly we are. William Ocean. Hi Eileen, do you Do you want to say hi? Uh, hi! My name's Eileen. What else do you say? Good girl! Yes, I am sure that you will all make an effort to talk to Eileen and that she will fit in in no time. Right? Thanks. Okay, um, I just have one more announcement to make. Mr. Miyagi has asked me to remind you all that his bonsai class will be held today Today at lunch in Room 2B. Or not to be. I don't— it's smudged. Okay, um, anyway, uh, open that to chapter 13 and continue on quietly. Hi, I'm Cory. This is Kirk. Welcome to Billy Emotion High. Thanks. Hey, I'm Tiffany and these are my best friends send an email and tell him. How do you like this new sofa? It's pretty good, I guess. Hopefully you'll feel like home soon. Hey, who do you have in your folder? Is that— Air Supply? <LYRICS>I'm all out of love, I'm so lost without you.</LYRICS> That's a really cool band. Sydney, get some quiet! Don't worry, they're a lot nicer once you get to know them. Jeez, I hope so. Hi, I'm Laura. And I'm Debbie. Welcome to Buddy Buds High School. Laura and Debbie, but do you know what? I was going past Debbie's house the other day and I saw her through a window kissing a poster of Corey Haim. I mean, her entire room is covered in posters of Anthony Michael Hall and Don Johnson. And you won't believe this, the Proclaimers! Tiffany said she had a thing for them too. Can't believe all these fake girlfriends are so cute. They just look like two Scottish teachers with glasses. That poor chick has no clue who she's making friends with. Lauren and Debbie are a joke. Neither of them have ever even had a boyfriend. Hey, Kirk, we've never had a girlfriend. But at least we don't make them off. That's true. You gotta talk to Mr. Conker. Oh yeah, um, Mr. Conker? Yes, Corey, what would you like? Well, it's been a long time since the elections for president, and Michael has decided he doesn't want to be a congressman anymore because he's so busy with football. He hasn't told us that yet. Yes. Well, I really like yep yep, and I was hoping you'd let me put on a concert. Sure, how can we help? Well, maybe if you just tell everyone about it and then run rehearsals and tell everyone about it. This is— okay, attention students! Cory has decided to put on a concert for all of you. You should be very proud. Thanks for keeping that quiet, sir. Do you have a boyfriend? Oh, well, I did, but we had to break up when I came here. He was my longest boyfriend though. We got out for 2 whole weeks. It was a major experience. Forever! Mini-series. Oh, what are the boys like at this school? Do you two have any boyfriends? Yeah, uh, first there was Elton. Yeah. And Von? Joke-y! Yeah, I got a million. Me too. Well, are you dating anyone at the moment? Yeah, his name is Don. He's an actor and he's gorgeous. And I'm dating someone called Anthony. You're so lucky. When will I get to meet them? Probably not for a while. In Miami? I'm busy. What is it like? Hi! Hi, Miss Isaac! What's the theme? This should be interesting. Awake at 5 in the morning, stumble up and stretching and yawning, another day ahead. Half forever, time goes by, so many good years together, and then It's just right, the moment that he's with me, time takes flight. The moment that he's with me, everything's all right. I met you the right time, we're in love. I've given my heart to you. My baby tastes so warm and sweet, he puts me to sleep. He takes my love, I'll forget Only when he's near me, I start to lie. Only when he's with me, you make me feel all right. My baby takes a morning break. He works from night to night. Then he takes another call again to find a break for his All day I think of things. Jimmy, go see my new fleece. I'm reading carefully. He's reading carefully. When he sets off to train, we're going for a fight. He wants something, I can pay. We can play all night. My baby takes the morning train, he works from night to wide event. He takes another home again to find me waiting for him. My baby takes the morning train, he works from night to wide event. He takes another home again to find Hi sweetie, what's this for? You didn't think I'd forget about our 1-year anniversary, did you? Well, what? No, you hurt my feelings. I'm sorry, honey. How can I make it up to you? No, it's too late. I'm so hurt. Listen, there is just one thing you can do to make it up to me. Did you give me one Or a basement. Oh, really? Maybe. Stevie, not that slow, or someone could see us. Come on, just live on the wild side for a change, you know? Danger's my middle name. We're cooking it up, but really badly. We're making things too mean for him. Who is it this time, Michael and Lillian? Brittany and Christina? To put a little sugar on. If we don't hurry up, there'll be nothing left of it. Hey, um, I have a procedure this year. Go home, get ready, and I'll pick you up at 8. Okay, it's a deal. No, it's a date. Well, you'd be good to see There's something in the air. I mean, when a cop is getting lucky, you never know your luck. I don't know whether it was false confidence or a moment of insane madness, but in the middle of our final year at senior school, I finally decided that I had had enough. I was going to let Tiffany know my true feelings for her. Right, guys, well, this is it. Are you sure you want to do this? What if she says no? I don't know, but hey, Carpe Diem, right? Right. I mean, she thinks the Proclaimer twins are cute, right? Right. So surely I'm better looking than those scotch beasts, right? These guys need to be perfect. Unfortunately, my timing could not have been any worse. That is the very day that Michael Feldman decided to let Tiffany know that in his mind, she belonged to him. Right, guys? You have no problems. You are my Melvin, remember? Are you sure you don't want to borrow my Michael Jackson glove? No, I think I'm fine without it. I see you, man. I hear you. You don't want to fear. Just move up. Cat? Yeah, right here. Hey, Timothy, I got something I have to tell you. When I wake up, oh, I know I'm gonna be, I'm gonna be the man who wakes up next to you. And when I go out, where I know I'm gonna be, I'm gonna be the man who goes along with you. And when I get drunk, yes, I know I'm gonna be, I'm gonna be the man who gets up next to you. And if I give up, well, I know I'm gonna be, I'm gonna be the man who was never in school. And I would walk 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more, just to be the man who walked the 500 miles to fall down at your door. When I go out, when I go out, I know I'm going to be around, going to be around. I'm like, when I come, I know I'm going to be around, going to be around, come back home to you. I'm going to be around. Robert, you're doing the whole look ridiculous. But I thought you said the pro player twins were cute. Yeah, you told me that too. Well, I do, but in a long-distance kind of way. How would you like if I got dressed up like Madonna and we're walking around the streets? A hundred times no. Look, Cory, you're very sweet and you're like a brother to me, I just can't go out with you. Turn around. Every now and then I get a little bit tired of listening to the sound of my teeth. Turn around. Every now and then I get a little bit nervous that the best of all the years have —start to die. Forever gonna start to die. I have fallen in love, but now I'm only falling apart. Let's get out of here. Right on, let's go. Come on, Fergal. Well, you're taking up some extracurricular study with the groundskeeper, Mr. Miyagi, after school. What song? What song? What song? What song? What song? What song? Fergal, what other group are you taking? Mr. Miyagi wants me to practice for a happy an hour every day. He says to be a fully developed grasshopper, one must use the head and the heart to guide the hands. Pink hands. Pink hands. And so the year continued. As our school prom approached, Irene's dreams finally came true. Hey guys, here's another letter. Here, give it to me. Dear Ivy, tonight I celebrate my buckoos. These past few months have been rough, but when the going gets tough, the tough get going. So cool! This is not easy, but the time has come to reveal myself to you. I hope you will sign your name across my heart. I want you to be my baby. You're so sensitive. I'm never going to give you up, never going to let you down, never going to run around and hurt you, never going to make you cry, never going to tell a lie, never going to tell a lie to hurt you. If you will be mine, then heaven is a place on Earth forever yours. Michael Falcone. Michael Are you serious? PS: physical. PPS: let's get physical. PPPS: let me hear your body talk. Your body talk? Body talk. Let me hear your body talk. Oh my God, Michael, somebody's totally in love with you! Hey, I don't want to spend my whole life this way. No, I don't want you back for a week and not back for a day. No, no, no. I said, baby, I just want you back. And I want you to stay. Oh yeah, I want you right by my side. Oh yeah, I want you right by my side. Oh yeah, I want you right by my side. Oh yeah, it don't feel good. Hey, oh yeah, it don't feel good. Hey, oh yeah. Oh, I can't believe it! Only 3 months until we can drive! I know, it's so exciting! It's going to give us so much freedom! Why would you need to drive? That's what the guys are for! Michael and Milo already got their licenses, and Billy gets his next week as well. And guess what? I heard Michael's parents bought him a car! How cool is that? I mean, yeah, but they said it's old and they should call it Flattery. Flattery? Why is that? Because they said it's not going to get him anywhere. Hey, Tiffany! Oh, hey! You finally got it! Yeah, uh, hey, I was wondering If I could talk to you for a moment alone. Sure, what's up? Well, I've got a super mic now and, uh, you can see too, so I, I was just wondering— You! Get into my car! Me? Yes, you! Get into my car! Who's that woman walking through my door? What's the score? I'll be the sun shining on you, pacing where I stepped in your shoes. I'll be your nonstop lover, you know I can. Your nonstop miracle, I'm the man. Get out of my way. Get into my car. Get into my car. Get out of my dreams. Get into my heart. Get into my heart with me. Oh yeah. Get out of my mind. Get out of my mind. Get into my life. Whoa. Oh, I said it back to you. Into my heart. Sun shining on you, chasing red lights. That's your dream. Talk to the hand, 'cause the face don't want to hear it. What? Talk to the hand? If you could give me 2 minutes of your time, please. I don't have time, I have a class to teach. I miss you. Why won't you just give us a second chance? These things can never be the same. Why not? Because I can never look at you the same again. Every time I close my eyes, all I see is that picture. It's driving me mad. But the same students you taught are not Penthouse, please just give us another try. We can get through this. No, you don't get it. Can't we at least talk about this? Goodbye, Sherry. This is crazy. Everyone has their faults. I'm not an angel. I'm telling you, Parker is losing it. Yesterday I saw him crying in the staff room at lunch. Something's going on. Okay, class, wipe it out. I don't like it if you're not listening. Okay, let's go. Foreign. Take the car! Yes, the widow will take the car! It's Friday's! We'll take it to the motel woman! Take him off! He's riding! Up on the headless spirit! He is of my gospel! Oh no! It denied him! Oh yeah! Guess I gotta buy it! My blood runs cold! My memory has just been stole! I mean, you know, it is terrible! Angel base is terrible! My blood runs cold! My memory has just been stole! 1, 2, 3, 4! Dear Irene, I really like you more than I've ever liked anyone else. Sidney, I really like you more than I've ever liked anybody else. I want to be with you forever. I want to be with you forever. I guess what I'm trying to say is I love you. I guess what I'm trying to say is I love you. Oh my God. Oh my God. Well babe, I've got to go to practice, so I'll see you later. I am lost in your arms. Can't feel my spirit's thrust. It is so like knowing. Is it love that I am in? I don't mind the worry you are paying for. You can take me to the sky. It's like being lost in heaven. I'm lost in your eyes. You can take me to the skies. It's like being lost in heaven when I'm lost in your arms. When I'm lost And so the end of our Our senior year drew near. Things got more tense as our prom night got closer and closer. Who were we going to ask? How were we going to ask them? And most importantly of all, what were we going to wear? Billy had set his eyes on Cindy and had taken inspiration from his idol, Rick Astley. Sure, Billy was a fool when he was around Michael and his gang, but when you took him out of his group, he was just like the rest of us. A 17-year-old guy trying to do the best he could to look cool and —get a date for the prom. All right, girls, do you remember the routine? Yeah. So when do we get paid? I'll pay you at the end. Now, how do I look? Good. Great. Yeah, but do I look as cool as Rick Astley? Sure. Great. She's not going to be able to resist is this. If I don't have a prom date after this temper, I will eat this suit. What? Okay, you ready? Cindy! What? Can I talk to you for a minute? Yeah, I guess. Oh, hey, Billy, you got any gum? Um, yeah, sure, here. No, I meant for you. All right, girls, ready? Hit it! What on earth are you doing? I'm thinking of you. Give this song a try. Oh, I want to tell you I love you, baby. I got to make you understand that I'm not giving you up. I didn't let you down. I'm never going to walk around and desert you. Never going to make you cry. Never going to say goodbye. Never going to tell a lie. God bless you. Who give you up? Who give you up? Never gonna give, never gonna give you up. Never gonna give, never gonna give, give you up. Never gonna give you up. Never gonna let you down. Never gonna walk around and desert you. Never gonna make you cry. Never gonna say goodbye. Who can tell a lie and hurt you? Who's gonna give you up? Who's gonna let you down? Who's gonna run around and desert you? Who's gonna make you cry? Who's gonna say goodbye? Who can tell a lie and hurt you? I don't know what you think you're doing, but I'm gonna go out with you. You're the last guy on this planet. So is that a yes? You must be kidding me. You remind me of the ocean. Why? Is it because I'm strong and unpredictable? No, it's because because you make me sick. Whenever you need some love, I'll make my love with you. So, were you going to talk with me? No, Billy. Read my lips. N-O. No. Well, when you change your mind, you'll know to find me. So what? So what's the story? What story? Come on, Cindy, the story with Billy. Yeah, what's the gossip? There is no gossip. I told him I wasn't interested. Billy asked you to the prom and you turned him down? I can't believe you just did that. What is wrong with you? Billy is great. He's funny and cute. Yeah, well, so are a lot of other guys. Girls, boys are like used cars. Why is that? Well, they're easy to get, unreliable, and cheap. Besides, I mean, you know what Billy does after school? Oh, um, he breaks into, uh, my kid's door. Let's not do anything. Well, that's That means he makes $3 an hour and that's it. Yeah. So what's he gonna buy me with $3 an hour? Nothing. If I go out with someone, I expect to be treated properly. Are you serious? Are you telling me you turned Billy down because he's too poor? Well, it's like my mother has always said, marry for money. Oh, come on, that is so wrong. Girls, Billy is really, really poor. I mean, he's so poor he can't even afford to pay attention. I can't believe you girls are so naive. There are plenty of guys in this world. It's just a matter of finding the one that satisfies my needs. They can beg and they can plead, but they can't keep a bite. 'Cause the boy with the coal bar asks his old buddy Mr. Rye, 'Cause we are living in a material world, and I am a material girl. You know that you are living in space in a material world, and I am a material girl. Oh, I'm telling you, I think you must have kidnapped you the wrong one. Geez, that would be so cool. He's totally hot. I don't know, I mean, I know he loves me and everything, but But going out with me in public to the prom, it's kind of a big step for him. Well, what did his life lesson say? Huh? That his love for me grows more and more every day, and that he has something big to ask me. He's just waiting for the right moment. Well, I'll go to the prom naked if he doesn't ask me to go. I mean, what else could something big be? Maybe he got a letter today. They put it in the mailbox. See, I hope so. Let's go and see if there's another letter or a check or anything. This will be so funny. Watch her turn up to the prom with no date. Q, you want to hurry up with that damn letter? Oh, hi, Michael. What are you guys doing? Nothing, we were just leaving. Yeah, wait a minute. I thought you guys know the truth about Amy and Michael. Go see if there's another letter. Yeah, what you guys don't know is that Michael's been in love with Amy for ages, and he has just asked me to the prom! Oh my God, after all this time, I mean, I would love to go to the prom with you. Oh, hey, Felton, are you really going to the prom with her? No, of course not. What do you mean? The letter said— Yeah, but the thing is, the truth is, Michael wouldn't go with you to the prom even if you paid him a million bucks. We don't have a cow, we're just messing around. Yeah, but we should all roll those letters together. Just have them do the fart. Yeah. So you never liked me? After all this time, none of it was true? Um, no, not really. You're a real jerk, Michael! Yeah, the only difference between you and a bucket of grab this bucket! Talk about a total freak! Shut up, Michael! How could you be so cruel? What are you guys even doing? Just having a little fun. Fun? How do you think Laura and me feel? Okay, well, chill out. What do you want me to do about it? You know what, Michael? I don't care. I never want you to come near me again. I can't believe I wasted all my time with you. You can't break up with me. The prom is tomorrow night. Who am I going going? I really don't care, Michael. It's over. I want you to do anything to take me back. Michael, come on. I can't believe you guys did that. Shut up, you nerd. No, I have something to say. What you did to Eileen is unforgivable. I demand I demand that you go apologize to her immediately. Yeah, what are you gonna do if I don't? I think it's only fair to warn you, I am highly trained in a number of martial arts. These are not hands, they are lethal defense weapons. Yeah? Well then defend this! Mr. Miyagi, I need help! Ah, brutal, Esme. Remember what I have always told you, if you are really in Guess one. Take a breath, count to 10, then beat the living crap out of them. Um, I— Just leave me alone, Cory, please. Sure, if that's what you want. But if you want someone to talk to, I can listen. So what's wrong? My whole world is falling apart. Falling apart. I've tried so hard to fit in. It's been 6 months. I thought I was finally there, and now I find out everyone's been laughing at me all this time. No, they haven't. Yes, they have! Did you know my husband sent me fake love letters since the first day I got here? No, I didn't. But Michael's kind of a jerk. Not all of us are like him. Yes. Cory! No! Please, what just happened? Don't worry, Irene. Things will get better, I promise. How could you possibly know that? Well, they can't get any worse, can they? Come on, Irene. Smile. Irene? Guys, Irene needs some cheering up. Please, none of us hate you like her. Of course we don't hate you. You're great! Yeah! Thanks, guys. Hey, if it makes you feel any better, someone just stood up for you and had a fight with Michael and won. You will never guess who it was. Someone had a fight with Michael over me? Who? Fergal McFerrin! Yeah, he was a real hero. Michael tried to knock him out, but Fergal returned the favor with a kick to the head. It was so awesome. You're kidding. No, it Brilliant! So sweet! I can't believe Virgo said that for me. Look at that smile! Come on, Eileen, smile, please. Yes, get a thing, get a thing! Come on, come on. No worry, be happy. Don't worry, be happy now. Come on, I lean to the right. Come on, I lean to the right. Come on, I lean to the right. Come on, don't worry, be happy now. Come on, I lean to the Hey Cory, that was really nice of you guys. You're so sweet. Oh, um, great Thanks. No, I'm serious. Not many guys from school would have done that. Thanks, man. Um, I, I, I gotta go home. I think I hear mom calling. Yeah, I gotta go walk the dog. See you later. Uh, I heard a question about the fight with Michael. Oh, yeah, it's over. I'm sorry. I really am. I just— I hate seeing this guy. You know what? It's okay. He's such a jerk. I can't believe it took me this long to see it. Yeah! And you know what else? You were right! His ears are pretty big. Yeah, Domo! But the worst thing is now I don't have anyone to go to prom with. If you weren't taking a note with you, you would have gotten out with me. Really? But I had several girls ask you out today. Well, the thing is— Yeah, but I said no. Really? Well, I didn't want to go to prom with anyone if I couldn't go with you. Tiffany, will you be my date to prom? Sure, Cory, I'd love to. Hello. Hi. How have you been? Okay, I guess. How about you? Fine. It's been kind of a tough year, you know? Yeah, say that again. It's been kind of a tough year, you know? No, no, I just— It's you first. Um, I, I, I just— I wanted to say I'm really sorry for everything. Thank you. And I was, um, I was wondering if you want to maybe start over? I, I don't know. You know, um, I wouldn't want to rush you in. Maybe we just start from slow. Sure. That'd be great. Cool. Are you going to the prom tomorrow? Yeah, I thought I'd stop by. Okay. See you there, I guess. I'll see you there. Okay. May 23rd, my prom night. It was finally here, the end of our school lives. We've been waiting for this night our entire lives. We were going to make sure it was a night night you would never forget. Hey, can I have a sip? Sure, if you can find someone to dance with. secretly. So we take each other's hands as we see to one step near John C. Just remember, you're the one thing I can't get enough of. So I'll tell you something This could be love because I'm in love. It's time of my life. You've never felt this way before. I swear it's the truth. I'm opening up to you. This icebreaker, it's the truth, and I owe it all to you. And so, what has happened to everyone since we left high school? Laura and Debbie are now millionaires. Several years after we graduated, they developed a dating agency. He would study and become the most popular in the United States. Virgil and Eileen got married 2 years after he graduated. Most of Virgil's crazy theories came true and he is now a millionaire running what we all know as the World Wide Web. Cindy and Billy were never going to last. She is now a politician. Billy went on to own a chain of skating rinks with Lionel and Huey. When skating went out of fashion, they moved enclosed them all and replaced them in parking lots. Matt and Kim ripped two identical twins from England, Matt and Luke Groves. They both had two sets of triplets and are now in the Guinness Book of Records. Michael Feldman tried for the pro football league, but was forced into early retirement after a nasty groin injury. He's had 5 injuries. 4 kids, and he's now a Baptist minister in New Orleans. Oh, Mr. Cocker and Ms. Branigan, well, they finally let bygones be bygones and made it down the aisle. They both still teach at Blue Demotion High School. In fact, Cocker is now the principal. The guys and I, well, we still see each other. We play golf once in a while. A few months ago, Kirk married a girl he met at Disney World. Disneyland. Alf, on the other hand, seems destined to be a bachelor to the grave. And as for Tiffany and me— well, we didn't get married as I'd always hoped. In fact, I haven't seen her for about 2 years now. I went to her wedding in Chicago a few years ago. She has 2 beautiful girls, both the spitting image of her. And as for me— Well, I'm happy and healthy, and I'm still not married yet. I'm dating a fashion designer at the moment, so we'll see how that goes. You know, it's funny. Life moves pretty fast and pieces fall along with it. Certain things didn't pan out the way I thought they would at 17. I didn't marry Tiffany, and I don't live in a bachelor pad with Altenberg having wild parties every night. But you know what? That's okay. I'm still in love. Back to my high school days. And while they are all distant memories now, thankfully those memories of how we were will be in here forever. Have fun, guys!
