Hello, everybody. My name is James Blackwell. In today's video, I wanted to share the difference between theory and actual Doing. Real entrepreneurship really requires both to be successful. So that means not just learning from videos like myself and people on YouTube and reading books, but it's actually putting it into practice and taking action. Sadly, most people never actually break through the thieving mode and are stuck with consumption and reading more, watching more, and actually not putting things into practice. And that's why a lot of people don't get to be the true successful entrepreneur they may strive or want to be. They prefer to live in that world of intellectual entertainment and always been waiting to see the next buzz or the next bit of content. Now, consumption is good, but you need to put that into practice. So the good News is the 1 to 3% that actually do both, they actually get all of the rewards in life. It's really disproportionate in terms of how it's distributed across the economy. So a lot of people say, well, why do the 1% earn crazy amounts of money? Because that's because they actually do the work. They actually put it into practice, but they actually study the theory and do the work and provide value in the market. So they get everything and they'll always win. The rest will get nothing because they're more busy actually just consuming more information, more videos, more books. So if you're not even consuming in terms of educating yourself, then what chance do you actually have to be successful? Very, very limited. So it's a good part to get on the journey and actually start just in terms of learning from others and actually consuming really good content. Understanding the theory, but then you need to put it into practice. Now, a simple step that I would use to put that into practice. Every time I read a book, I have a highlighter and actually highlight key points, fold the pages. So all my books in my library and down the side of my bed, you'll see them all folded, pages after pages, underlines highlighted, and I actually take notes. And then I really study that book and actually extract the data that I need from it. And then I think, well, what can I do from that to actually implement that into my business and my life? So you really need to do what you say and finish what you start. Because if you apply yourself and if you apply yourself to studying, you'll also avoid all boredom in life. So as I'm recording this video, most of the countries are still in lockdown. And I think it's crazy, people watching tv, moaning about not being able to get out and about Study. Study the people that are in your market or just doing what you want to do or have been successful. So study the most successful billionaires or multi millionaires. Read their autobiographies. Read the books that have been done on billionaires and successful millionaires so you can really absorb their mindset. Because as I've always said time and time again, and as I've learned from my previous mentors, one of them that I learned and studied was Jim Rohn. You are the average of the five people you surround yourself with. So if you actually calculate the average the salaries from all of your five closest friends, family, share that by five you're probably earning the average of that salary. You need to elevate yourself away from that. Now if you can't, the best way to do that is by studying, learning the theory, actually putting these little things and steps into action.
