In this testimonial, Cody Warren, president of Hook Agency—a service provider for home‑service businesses—shares how his company grew its monthly recurring revenue (MRR) from about $5.5 million to over $8 million after joining the 7 Figure Agency community. He explains that exposure to other agency owners helped Hook shift its focus from pure top‑line growth to achieving 15‑30 % profit margins. The revenue surge also allowed Warren to step back from day‑to‑day operations, freeing him to think strategically and envision the company’s future. A key operational change highlighted is the adoption of nearshore and remote employees, a tactic encouraged by the 7 Figure Agency network. Warren stresses the importance of being part of a peer community: learning from those who have already solved similar scaling challenges, sharing hard‑won lessons with newer owners, and collectively celebrating revenue and profit milestones. He concludes by urging agency owners to join 7 Figure Agency because “you don’t know what you don’t know,” emphasizing that community knowledge accelerates sustainable growth.

My name is Cody Warren. My agency is Hook Agency. I'm the president there, and we service home service companies— HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, you name it. When we joined 7 Figure Agency, we were at about $5.5 million monthly recurring revenue, and we just passed $8 million. We're at about $620K monthly recurring right now. 7 Figure Agency really gave us a lot of awareness on how other agencies are scaling profitably. Hook Agency had been in a huge revenue growth mode for a long time, and just being here around other agency owners who are consistently hitting 15, 20, 25, 30 percent margins just gave us a lot of information and context that we could take and apply to be like, okay, cool, we're trying to scale our business, but how can we do that in a way that's not just top line but actually gets some bottom line profit on top of that? The growth Hook Agency's experienced over the last year has absolutely impacted me personally. It's allowed me to remove myself as much from the day-to-day operational work of the business, uh, to really think more strategically, take more time to actually like dream about the future really, and how that's going to impact our business in a positive way. Whereas before it was a lot more, hey, I'm in the weeds. Survival mode is a little bit of an extreme way of putting it, but taking a lot of time, burning a lot of energy on things that weren't really the most valuable use of my time. This growth is allowing me to take a step out and really think and dream and operate at a much higher level where my time is more valuable. Yeah, when we come to an event like 7 Figure Agency, we're really looking to glean as much information from people who have either done things already that we've accomplished or farther down the road because there's so much context here. You know, we are working on one aspect of our business this year, a couple aspects of our business this year, and there's plenty of agency owners who have either already done it or are already going through something very similar. There's been a lot of areas where us actually, Hook Agency, coming to 7 Figure Agency, we've just learned a lot. I would say probably the biggest area that has helped us this year has been the encouragement and the direction for finding nearshore or remote employees. You should join 7 Figure Agency because you don't know what you don't know. And if you're an agency owner out there that's thinking, hey man, I know exactly what I'm doing, I know how to scale this thing. The reality is, if you haven't done it before, you really don't know and you're shooting yourself in the foot by not putting yourself in a room of people who have either experienced what you're going to experience or can help navigate you along that path. We're all trying to scale and grow our own agencies, but it's about being a part of a bigger community as well. Like, think about yourself 2, 3 years ago in your agency journey, how much valuable information you could have gotten from people. Like, you have that ability to pass on that information. I mean, it's It's 50/50 here. It's like, hey, I'm getting so much context, but I also have the ability to share where I've been, the hard struggles of starting up an agency, uh, with some smaller agency owners, you know. And it's fun to next year, even for us 9 months later, see people crushing revenue goals, hitting profit objectives, and really putting the rubber on the road for scaling their business. So, um, yeah.
