Cold calling gets your first 3 to 5 clients and teaches you the basics, but once you hit six figures, shift to positioning yourself as a niche expert through content and case studies so clients come to you instead.

I think cold calling is a valuable skill to a certain level. Maybe landing your first 3 to 5 clients, it's very useful to have the ability to cold prospect, get some prospects' attention. As you grow, as you scale, as you get to 6 figures and multiple 6 figures and 7 figures, it becomes less of a useful skill. It's useful to manage other people to do that. But at that level, really what you want to be able to do is set up positioning, like position yourself as the go-to expert in the niche, your value, create case studies that showcase your ability to generate the results and get clients to come to you pre-positioned to buy. I did cold call initially to get my first couple of clients and get that little initial level of experience. I would say for most of our agencies doing high 6 figures and 7 figures, they're not cold calling either. The more useful skill is the ability to position yourself through content, case studies, speaking opportunities, and get clients to come to you pre-positioned to buy.
