Speaker A married to Danny, who is also her business partner, keeps their roles strictly separate to protect both the marriage and the business. She treats husband-Danny and business-partner-Danny as two different people and says other couples need to compartmentalize these roles intentionally.
So when I'm mad at Danny, my business partner, it doesn't seep into Danny, my husband.
What advice would you give to another couple who's considering, hmm, should I bring my spouse into the mix, into this business with me? Should I go into business? What would you say to that?
Okay, so I, I'm, even though we do life together and everything's connected and our business is infused into our life, the big thing that has helped me in this pocket and situation I really have to look at Danny as my husband and my business partner. There's two people. Danny, my husband. Danny, my business partner. So when I'm mad at Danny, my business partner, it doesn't seep into Danny, my husband, and vice versa. So I really have to be intentional about being like, okay, I gotta put this aside because this was Danny, my husband, who I'm really mad at, and I'm not mad at Danny, my business partner, or vice versa.
