In this interview, host Esteban Baez talks with Shawn Tiberio, a partner at 7 Figure Agency (7FA), about how Shawn discovered the program during the early COVID pandemic, his initial interactions with Josh Nelson and Danny Barrera, and what convinced him to join. Shawn explains that before 7FA his agency was earning around $20K in monthly recurring revenue (MRR) with a loosely defined client base, and that 7FA’s emphasis on narrowing to a single niche—real‑estate—helped them fully commit and eventually surpass the seven‑figure revenue milestone while serving hundreds of clients nationwide. He highlights the importance of community, mentorship, and the “swipe‑and‑deploy” systems provided by 7FA, noting how relationships with fellow members alleviate the isolation of entrepreneurship. Outside of work, Shawn is an avid backpacker; he recounts a 30‑day hike of the 256‑mile John Muir Trail, during which the business continued operating without his direct involvement, illustrating the resilience built through the program. Finally, he urges prospective members to join, emphasizing the value of both the tactical content and the supportive network.

Hello, my name is Esteban Baez. I'm here with 7 Figure Agency and Sean Tiberio. Sean, how's it going?
Thanks for having me.
Awesome, thank you for being here. I wanna, I wanna ask you about your story. How did you come into 7 Figure Agency?
It really actually started, um, early on in COVID. Okay, I'm a, I'm an individual that, lifelong learner, love education, truly believe in, in mentorship. And right before, uh, the pandemic hit I'd actually transitioned away from a previous business, just sold it, just got out of it. Okay. I was getting more into this digital side, and, um, I happened to stumble on a Facebook group one day, and I saw a post from, from Josh. And I actually— it was kind of unique, like, he said something, I sent him a message. I kind of was challenging a little bit of what he was saying because I didn't necessarily fully understand nor agree with what he was saying. Really? And then we kind of had this little dialogue in, in, uh, DMs for a second. Yeah, he had a, um, uh, one of the intensives like we're at right now coming up, like a Roadmap Live. Well, it was— it wasn't one of the Roadmap Lives, but it was more the intensive for the actual members. And he said, hey, why don't you, you know, log in on the Zoom, join it, you know, in a couple weeks here, check it out. Yeah, and I did.
And I remember virtually— so you didn't even come in person? Correct.
I just kind of like virtually jumped in, and I remember being like, you know, I'm just gonna go in for one or two sessions. I bet it's I came from a world where, you know, quote unquote, the gurus pushing every type of education. So I had a lot of walls up, but, um, the very first presentation that I watched was one by, uh, one of the now really good friends of mine, Danny Barrera. And he was giving this presentation and him and Joshua Nelson were going back and forth. And I immediately, at the time I had a business partner in our agency, I immediately sent him a text and I was like, dude, we've gotta, we've gotta check this program out. Because like I, I know a good program when I kind of see one.
Okay.
Uh, so we did, we started, I went back into my DMs, sent Josh a message, we continued to have a little bit more conversation, and that's ultimately what led us into 7FA. Wow.
So it really resonated with you, especially Danny?
100%. Uh, I mean, from like right out of the gate, Danny was talking about podcasting.
Okay.
I love doing a lot of podcasts. Okay. So you kind of, you know, oh, what's this guy gonna say that I you know, don't already know, right? And within 2 seconds, I was like, man, Danny knows something, okay? And then I started just listening more and more, and I ended up spending the rest of the day on the Zoom. And that's what kind of like led to me saying, you know, we need to check this program out.
Wow. So where are you today after joining 7 Figure Agency?
Uh, so when we joined 7 Figure Agency, we were just shy of the $20K MRR a month, uh, a month, you know, range. But we were not hyper-niched. I like to say like 75% of our clientele was niche-focused.
Okay.
We had this 25% that I was still allowing myself to kind of be all over the board. Okay. We were in a monthly recurring program or structure. We just didn't have the 100% niche piece. So as soon as we got into 7FA, uh, that was kind of the piece that like sold me on go all in on one niche. And from that time, we're creeping up on almost 3 years now. Uh, we've surpassed the 7-figure mark.
Wow, congratulations.
Just like any other business, right, you have your setbacks and, and these type of things along the way, but, you know, we surpassed it. We bounced around, but today we service a couple hundred clients across the United States in a niche in the real estate space, okay, that a lot of people, you know, tend to shy away from.
Yeah, they say that's one of the toughest niches, right?
Correct.
But you're obviously crushing it.
Yeah, I like to think we are, and our clients say that we are, so that's a good sign. That's excellent.
So do you have any hobbies, passion projects, anything you're working on when you're not working on your business?
Uh, I'm a huge outdoor enthusiast. I don't know if the cameras can even see, I've got a freaking cast on my foot, uh, not from outdoor activities, but, um, I absolutely love outdoor activities. I'm a big backpacker. I love spending time in the wilderness. And, you know, I know you're asking like outside of the business, but that's actually what fires me up and fuels me for the business, right? An excuse to detach, get away from everything, get off the grid, let my mind go to work and really think about some of the, the good things that are going on in the business, the areas that we need to improve, uh, kind of recharge the batteries so that when I come back, you know, it's, it's time to go. So I do enjoy taking downtime to get out, do some backpacking, do some, you know, backtrail kind of camping and refire up.
What's your favorite trail that you've done?
2 years ago, we actually, thanks to a lot of the stuff that we've been implementing with 7FA, my business partner at the time and I, we took 30 days away from the business. Okay. And we went and hiked the John Muir Trail, which is 256 miles from the top of Mount Whitney up to Yosemite National Park. Wow. So 30 days away from the business. Uh-huh. He had maybe 2 conversations with team members when we happened to come into town to resupply.
Okay.
I made zero contact with our team the entire time. The business did not burn to the ground. That's still there. But that was probably one of the most fun, memorable moments, uh, you know, for me in the backcountry.
I love that. So if any members like hiking, now you know something about Sean.
Let's go. Let's go do it.
That's excellent. One last question. If there's someone watching this that's maybe not engaging as much with 7 Figure Agency, or they're thinking about joining, What would you say to that?
You will never regret it. From day one, not just the content, not just the systems, the swipe and deploy, and all the stuff that I think a lot of us come to really enjoy. It's also the connections, the amount of people that I've been able to build relationships with. And as business owners, we spend a lot of time sometimes in the dark. It's lonely, right? As the CEO or as just the owner of a business, And when you have that kind of, you know, I'm a military guy, spent 10 years in the Marine Corps. I always say like when I have my team or my boys around me to be able to reach out to and just have that conversation or just bring it up like, man, I'm struggling with this. Have you ever experienced that or do you have any ideas? That right there is to me, it's worth the price of admission. Love it.
