Live from the 7 Figure Agency Mastermind Day

In this live recording from the 7 Figure Agency Mastermind Day in Miami, host Joshua Nelson and several agency owners discuss the structure and purpose of the Mastermind versus the Power Day, emphasizing accountability, sales focus, and community. Participants share personal takeaways: deepening niche focus and Dream 100 outreach, refining account management and client gifting, building virtual teams and processes, and the motivational impact of peer accountability. A case study from Brian of Lawn Care Marketing Mechanics illustrates rapid revenue growth after joining the program, highlighting the role of in‑person exposure to the agency’s processes. The session concludes with a reminder that one’s performance is heavily influenced by the caliber of their peer group and an invitation to attend the upcoming Power Day.

Guys, we are live at the 7 Figure Agency Mastermind Day in Miami. Say hi, guys. Hey, hey guys. So we had a great day. This is the, the actually the mastermind group. We meet on a, on a quarterly basis live. We meet on a monthly basis via Zoom meeting, and it's all about action. It's all about accountability. It's all about getting things done and taking our agencies to the next level. So we spent the day in Miami, had a nice lunch and a nice dinner last night. And we're about to wrap up for the day. Started at 8:30. Lots of Bulletproof coffee, a little bit of Cuban coffee. So let's just go around and share some of the key insights from the day.
Ah, lots of great stuff. I think I have about 10 pages of notes. I mean, some of my key things, gonna stay niche-specific. I've got a variety of niches that we're serving and we've got a lot of clients in one particular niche. But we're— I just keep having that shiny object, shiny object syndrome. So I'm going to really just go deeper and deeper into the niche and really own it. I'm revising our entire account management process and really looking at from start to finish and just turning things over and client gifting and just lots of fun things there. And finally, I'm really going to focus intensely on the Dream 100 of who are those top 100 clients that I want to attract. So using email and direct mail and gifts and social media and really just honing in on those people because candidly, we don't need big numbers to really grow our agency. So fantastic day as always. Thank you, Josh, as well as the members here.
Awesome. It's Mike from No Joke. I see we've got Mike Farley watching us live. Josh Wheeler posting some coffee pics. You guys will be here, some of you, next week for the Power Day, and we'll make sure to get you guys some great Cuban coffee as well. Talk to us, Brad.
Hey guys, Brad Kilgore here from Online Marketing Media. Uh, it was really a good day here in Miami. Uh, some of my key takeaways are how to really structure and build my virtual team, um, with some high-level strategies. And at the end of the day, the biggest thing for me is taking the time to do sales and marketing because sales is the driver for me and my agency. So I'm really excited about that. Also, we set up some things for accountability, which I think is really a game changer because it's like anything, whether you're going to the gym, whether you're doing something with a group, if you have accountability and you have some things in place that are really going to make you get that done or maybe pay the consequences for that, it's really going to light a fire under you to get it done. So I'm really psyched about that. But all in all, these guys that I've met with these guys multiple times now in person, and it's always, always worth my effort.
Thanks.
Awesome.
Yeah, so Mike was just asking the difference between a Power Day and a Mastermind. The Power Day is something we do a couple times a year as a member of the 7 Figure Agency where you get to come in and spend the day and meet the office, tour the office, and meet some of the other members. The Mastermind is an actual structured group a small group between 5 and 8 members that meet literally on a monthly basis, have accountability built in, and build relationships and build bonds and help move each other forward. So this is Lynn. Say hi, Lynn.
Hey, Lynn. Hey, guys. So basically, I'm just gonna echo the same things that Michael and Brad have already said. It's an amazing energy to get together in a group room of like-minded individuals who've been down the same path as you, been down a little different path as you. We get to learn from each other. The accountability, the camaraderie, the generosity of this room is second to none. You know, I'm taking home all of those same things— the accountability, the focus on sales, learning more about virtual teams. It's fantastic, fantastic mastermind.
Awesome. I'm gonna come over now to Brian from Lawn Care Marketing Mechanics. By far one of the quick start members in this group, rocking it, agency of the quarter.
Alright, I'm Brian again with Lawn Care Marketing Mechanic and spent the day here Had a great time here in Miami with Josh and all these guys. Basically, my key takeaways have been, you know, obviously really the same stuff, just, you know, virtual team, building out processes, accountability, and really focusing on the things that we need to do as an agency to grow. So if you're coming to the Power Day next week, you guys will definitely enjoy it. There's a lot to be seen here. I'd actually came here a year ago, and that's pretty much when I started my agency.
Can you, can you talk through— you were kind of sharing with the group you came in in August— how many clients you had, about how much revenue, and where you're at now?
So I started my agency really in March of last year, in 2017. Didn't really have much growth. I bought into the 7 Figure Agency Program, started going through that process. When I came here in August of 2017, I had less than 10 clients and about $8,000, $7,000 to $8,000 in revenue. And this month we've closed up with about $43,000 in recurring revenue for each month.
So that's awesome, that's awesome. So yeah, and he was saying that kind of being in this place and kind of seeing the facility helped to facilitate that growth.
So yeah, absolutely. That was the changing point for me, was that Power Day. When I came here, saw the process, saw the things that were being done, I got to visit with Josh's team, talk to his team members, and actually, I mean, you have a little bit of an opportunity to get ideas, ask questions, things like that, and it's really what changed my mindset for the business and what I needed to do to grow it. So, it's a great day, it's worth your time. You guys are gonna love it.
Awesome, thanks for sharing, man, and continue to crush it. So, for those of you that haven't booked your trip yet, you should definitely be here next week for the Power Day. We got David.
Hey guys, Dave Kunsek, Page One Design and Marketing. My big takeaway here is sales and marketing. I've been struggling with it, and the reason I'm struggling with it is mostly because I haven't been doing enough of it. You know, it hasn't been a focus, getting caught up in the day-to-day, things just take up your time, whereas again, everyone here echoed that it really is just the most important thing. Get your marketing done, make your appointments, and you're going to close sales. Just a matter of numbers, you know. Came here, you won't waste your time coming here. Get yourself focused and just getting around other people that are getting it done, just Goes to show you it can be done and it will help your motivation.
Awesome.
Great feedback, guys. It was an awesome day. It was an awesome— actually, last couple of days, really. I will leave you with this one thought: you become an average of the 7 to 10 people you hang around the most. So the question for you is, do you have a world-class peer group like these guys that you're spending time with on a consistent basis that are thinking at a higher level? That can move you forward. And if not, I encourage you to look for something where you can tap into that type of group. And look forward to seeing you guys next week for those of you that are gonna be coming. And we'll talk to you later. See you later, guys.
See ya. Bye.
