Sean Dennin - Case Study - Seven Figure Agency

Sean Dennin built Acumen Legal Marketing from zero to $21,000 monthly recurring revenue in a year through the Seven Figure Agency program. He started with no service offering or clients, then used the program's strategy sessions and industry connections to develop messaging, launch a website, and land ten clients serving bankruptcy attorneys.

Hey, what's going on? My name is Sean Dennin. My agency is Acumen Legal Marketing, and we focus on the legal niche, and we specifically focus with bankruptcy attorneys within the legal niche. So the main reason that we joined the 7 Figure Agency was that we wanted to go fast. So Acumen was a company that I had that we were doing a lot of direct mail services in, and we were looking to expand and add all the digital marketing services with that. And right around the same time, there was a roadmap where live event. I live in Florida, so conveniently I was able to make it down for that. Uh, and you know, after attending the event and talking to a bunch of people and meeting Josh and seeing more about the program, uh, it was a no-brainer for us and we signed up right away. Uh, we actually signed up for the 7 Figure Agency before we had any type of service offering or, uh, anything like that. And, um, we were able to go really fast. So I would say that we probably accelerated the business by 6 to 12 months within the first month of joining. So we started out with zero clients. We didn't really even have a service offering when we first started out. So I'd say the first month or two, we were kind of working through that, getting our messaging dialed in, creating an industry website, things like that. But now, about a year later, we are sitting— we have a little bit over 10 clients, and we're about $21,000 in monthly recurring revenue right now. We had a little bit of a dip back when COVID started, but we were able to pick some people back up. So we're back on that upward track. So the personal impact for us has been pretty significant. I also have another company in which we do trial-related services and, and collection and litigation support services for law firms. Unfortunately, during COVID-19, that's taken a big hit. Courthouses are closed down. Just a lot of the work that we traditionally do, we can't do. The reason that we started this marketing agency was we wanted to add a company into our portfolio that would help us manage those ebbs and flows and manage the spikiness. You know, during summertime, our trial business really, you know, shuts down. A lot of the judges and attorneys are not really trying big cases over the summer and things like that. So we've always had this spiky nature in our business. So the idea behind the marketing company was to put that consistent monthly recurring revenue as a base. That's actually helped out huge. So turns out that, you know, with this, our revenue really dipped down in the other business. But just having that base monthly recurring has really helped out in terms of just keeping the lights on and keeping some things going. So the The idea, the grandmaster plan, if you will, was to have that balance it out. And it's already made a big contribution during this pandemic. So if I had one thing to say to someone thinking about joining the 7 Figure Agency would be to stop thinking and just do it. We had great success. And like I said, we just took off when we joined. And, you know, it's the agency, it's the monthly meetings, it's the weekly meetings, jumping on the strategy sessions and all that stuff. But for me, it was the connections that we made. I mean, right away I was able to, hook up with some of the, you know, best WordPress guys and people that do the hosting and just different white label service providers and things like that. So just the connections, uh, the peers in the industry, other people that are within my niche, uh, talking with them, sharing experience, things like that. So, um, you know, if you're thinking about it, I would say there's not much to risk. Um, the way that it's set up is really kind of like a no risk, if you will. So go ahead and give it a try, and I look forward to talking to you on the Wednesday sessions.
