An SEO expert argues agencies should charge at least $10,000 per month per client because the "unicorn" who does content, links, and technical SEO doesn't exist. With specialists earning $60k-$80k annually, lower pricing can't pay for real talent. Better to serve 100 clients at $10k than 200 at $5k.

There's, there's these things called unicorns that just don't exist, right? An SEO specialist is not going to be a great content writer, link builder, technical SEO. And even if they are, they don't have the capacity to do all those. And that person's going to cost $80,000 to $100,000 salary. So the way I look at it is like, look, even at $10K a month, I don't care what industry you're in. I don't— I literally do not care if you're pest control. It does not matter. I'm charging $10K a month minimum. Because they can't go out and replicate that from a channel perspective. And, and that's how I put it. Like, look, you're going to hire an SEO specialist for $60,000 and then you're going to hire a content writer for $50,000. Most people are, are charging it significantly too low. And instead of trying to get 200 clients at $5K, get 100 at $10K.
