Six-figure agency owners do the work themselves and chase clients personally. Seven-figure owners build systems for inbound leads, hire teams to execute, and use account managers to scale client relationships. The paradox: the exact changes needed for growth are what most owners resist.

I think the biggest thing that separates a 6-figure agency owner from a 7-figure agency owner is the focus is different. At 6 figures, you're just focused on prospecting and getting clients and doing it all yourself. When you go to 7 figures, the agencies at that level are building systems, they're building teams. They go from one-to-one prospecting to having an inbound client acquisition system. They go from doing the work themselves or having a freelancer to having a team that's actually executing on their behalf. They go from dealing with client relationship one-to-one to having account managers that manage those relationships. I think it's interesting because the things that get to 7 figures are typically the things that will prevent you from getting to 7 figures.
