Joshua Nelson breaks down why six-figure agencies rely on the founder doing everything, while seven-figure ones run on systems and delegation. At seven figures, you need a client acquisition engine, standardized project management, and an operations manager handling schedules. The jump isn't about working harder, it's about building processes that work without you.

I think the biggest difference between a 6-figure agency and a 7-figure agency is that a 6-figure agency is trying to do it themselves. They're thinking about, okay, I got to prospect and get the deals, and then I've got to build the websites and do the SEO, and I got to retain those client relationships. And that's typically what you're doing at 6 figures. When you get to 7 figures, you have to learn how to put the systems in place, how to put the team in place, how to delegate appropriately so that you're not physically doing everything. You're probably doing a lot of things because there are things you have to become expert at. But typically you've built a client acquisition engine and the deal flow is there at 7 figures. You've put a team in place that's following a systematized approach so that when you get the client, there's a project management system in place and there's steps that are being tracked and there's an operations manager that's there holding those schedules and making sure that things don't slip between the cracks. I think the biggest difference is systems and focused on team versus doing it all yourself.
