Service businesses scaling to $80,000 need three systems: a repeatable way to find clients, an onboarding process that keeps them excited about the partnership, and proactive communication routines that engage them throughout the year.

There's a couple critical systems that are mission critical when you're at that $30,000 or so level and you're trying to get to $80,000. Number one is you have to have a client acquisition system. You can't rely on referrals, you can't rely on cold outreach. You actually have to have a system and a process that you're putting in place that gets new prospects and new sales coming in on a consistent basis. Number two is you have to dial in your onboarding experience and your delivery mechanism. The way that you get a client out of the gates, the way that you warm them up and get them excited about the relationship will determine whether they're with you a year down the track. And the other thing you absolutely have to have an operational system for is the client relationship management. It can't be, oh, let's just wait until they send a message and hope that we're doing well enough. You need to have a proactive client communication mechanism where you're working the relationship and keeping those clients engaged long-term.
