In this January 26, 2014 episode of the “7 Days of Yes” series, the host reflects on personal and family goal‑setting, then introduces the week’s theme: eliminating the “little boxes” we place on people and situations that lead to conditional love. He explains how labeling, judgment, and stories cause us to withhold authentic, grace‑driven compassion, and challenges viewers to identify and “crush” these boxes over the next seven days. The vlog concludes with an invitation for the community to share their inspirations on a blog, emphasizing the series’ collaborative nature.

7 Days of Yes. How is everyone doing today? This is for the week of January 26th, 2014. Can you believe it? We're almost a month into 2014. How is everyone doing? How are your resolutions, intentions, your goals, how is all that treating you? Hopefully, hopefully we're making some progress, we're setting some mini goals for ourselves. Hollister and I just had a family meeting with the family. Thus family meeting. This week to discuss what are some family goals we have, some individually and then as a family, and what we're going to try to do over the next 30 days, and what are the kids thinking about, what does their sweet spot look like right now, what are they passionate about. So we've got some fun goals for that, and just in general, just thinking about sort of how are we doing, different tweaks and things that we're making. So the idea for this week has kind of been inspired by a few listening calls I've had as well as just individual classrooms that I'm in right now is to look at this idea of how easy it is to take love. And by love I mean how we treat others. You know, we love people but when we think about it we're like, how much of love do we put into like little conditional boxes? Right? We're like, okay, why am I treating someone a certain way? Or why am I withholding treating someone a certain way? And so we kind of put people and our reaction and our feelings and our emotions into like little boxes and how we treat people. And we notice like, well, I'm treating them this way because they've done this or he did this or she said this. And so I'll love them, but I'm only going to treat them a certain kind of way. So I'm going to put them in a little box. Compared to living so fully, to living so unabashedly, to living so grace-driven, where we're not getting caught up in stories, we're not getting caught up in old beliefs, we're just expressing love however we're led to express it in that moment. When we feel ourselves withholding or not— that just means we've put a person or we've put a situation in a little box. So this week we're just going to crush some boxes. We're going to look at the boxes, open them up and go, oh, why am I still holding on to that? And why am I still withholding, treating someone a certain way? Oh, because I've got— I've put them in this little box and I've labeled them this and I've labeled the situation this and I've judged, judged, judged, judged, judged. And all that judgment, all that labeling, all those stories get in the way of us just being as authentic and compassionate and yes-driven as possible. Does that make sense or am I just talking to no one? Most of the time I'm just talking to no one. Hollister agrees. Yeah. So that's your 7 Days of Yes. That's the idea for the week. That's what I was inspired by and so either hate it or do something with it. I don't know. I can't control that but thanks for watching. Share your inspiration in the blog. This is supposed to be community-driven so I want to hear from you. That's it guys. Have a great week. 7 Days of Yes. 7 Days of Yes.
