In this motivational talk for the "7 Days of Yes" program, the speaker greets participants, acknowledges Mother’s Day, and reviews the previous week’s practice of noticing negative thoughts. She emphasizes the importance of catching (not owning) negative beliefs as they arise, observing patterns, and choosing how to respond. The core assignment for the upcoming week is to cultivate love for the present moment—staying fully in the now rather than looking ahead or dwelling on the past. Participants are instructed to bring awareness to when they drift forward or backward and gently return their attention to the current experience, fostering mindfulness and freedom from negativity.

30 Days of Yes, 7 Days of Yes, May 12th. Hello everyone. How is everyone doing today? So to all of you moms out there from yesterday, happy belated Mother's Day. I know we had a fun and relaxing day with the kids yesterday and just a wonderful holiday to celebrate mom and to just celebrate the— All of us or all of you out there who have had motherly or motherhood qualities. We don't just have to limit it to just those with kids. Happy belated Mother's Day to everyone. Monday, May 12th. How's everyone doing? How did the ego log or the list go last week? How did that go? Did you make a list? Did you notice? More than anything, did you bring a sense of awareness throughout the day when you caught yourself going negative, you caught yourself creating a story or just kind of being in a funk, right? I caught myself numerous times this week in the middle of just having negative thoughts, of being pessimistic, of bringing old baggage and old stories to the surface. It was a great opportunity to catch those and especially when you catch them in the moment, you can kind of choose. How do I want to move forward from here? I can stay in the funk, I can stay in the negativity, or I can choose my way out of it. And it's great when you start to capture, capture every time that we do that and we start to see it, we start to see patterns, we start to see how we repeat certain negative things over and over again. And obviously, to the extent that we're doing that, we're creating our own stories and we're just continuing to perpetuate that negativity. So I encourage you to continue to do it again from the standpoint of catching, not owning. You're catching the beliefs, you're catching the negativity, but you're not holding on to it. All right, it gives you the freedom to let it go. So your assignment this week, this week's assignment for 7 Days of Yes, is to come back to the present moment. Come back to now. The idea that I'm working with right now is fall in love With the present moment and that just seems to be ripe for me right now. I tend to be a person who always is looking forward to the next thing, the next stimulation, the next thing I have to look forward to. If I'm at work, I'm like, OK, once I get through this, we get to go out to dinner tonight because it's Moe's Monday or whatever. Sorry for the shout out, Moe's, or Tijuana Flats Taco Tuesday. There you go, local place. So I tend to look forward To getting myself through the current situation by looking forward to something coming, which I understand. But my goal is to, is to be in love with the current moment, regardless of what is coming up. And so instead of kind of distracting myself with the future moment, to fall in love with the beauty, the perfection, the wholeness, everything that this current moment is allowing and calling forth. And so I've noticed a few times this past week of when I start to do the looking forward game that I bring myself back to fall in love with this present moment. Just be in this moment and don't worry about what's coming up or what's already happened. Just be here now. And that's your activity for the week is to catch yourself, whether you catch yourself looking ahead or catch yourself looking back, is to bring yourself to the current moment, fall in love With now. Fall in love with the current moment. And that is your activity for this week. 7 Days of Yes. Have a wonderful week, everyone.
