In this weekly "7 Days of Yes" video, the speaker opens with an apology for looking disheveled due to recent illness, emphasizing that personal purpose and authenticity must continue regardless of physical condition. He revisits the previous week's challenge of learning to say "no" to support larger goals, sharing his own summer commitment to avoid soda and encouraging viewers to identify similar small refusals that serve their bigger "yes." The speaker then shifts to excitement about the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup, describing it as a global celebration of openness and connection, and uses this enthusiasm to illustrate the theme of the week: staying open. He invites listeners to remain open to current challenges—whether work, health, or personal—and to listen for lessons, encouraging reflection, prayer, or mindfulness. The weekly assignment is simply to stay open, and he directs viewers to an inspiring soccer‑themed video posted below.

Hello everyone. Here's your 7 Days of Yes for this week. I have to apologize right out the gate that if I look a little disheveled, if I look a little worn down, I've been under the weather for the last few days and so I'm feeling better but not necessarily looking better. So I'm due for a shave and my hair, I apologize. But the yes goes on. Your purpose, your authenticity doesn't take a break. For when you're not feeling well, so your seven days of yes for this week. So first of all, let's go back to last week. How how did you do with with being able to say no to some things? What showed up for you? Did you commit to anything for the summer? Commit to anything for a week? Something that you can say no to that supports your bigger yes, and that's what it's all about. Maybe it's less Facebook, less Twitter, less SportsCenter. For me, I also committed to, for the summer, is no more soda. So no soda for the summer and hopefully beyond. So we'll see how that goes. So what are you doing that you can say no to, to support your greater yes, your greater authentic purpose? So I'd love to hear from you, see what shows up for you. Your activity this week, I am pumped because we are just days away from the 2014 FIFA World Cup starting. In Brazil, it's the— it's the only thing that I get more excited about than March Madness. I mean, it only comes every 4 years, and plus soccer is my first love, so it's all about the World Cup. 32 countries from all around the world competing. Amazing. Only 8 countries have ever won the World Cup, right? Crazy. So starting on Thursday, every day for a month, we're gonna have the best soccer players in the world supporting their country. It should be beautiful. I'm pumped about it. I've got such wonderful memories of going to the 1994 World Cup games and connecting with the different fans and giving them high fives and taking pictures. It was such a, like, this global kind of party of openness and acceptance and, and people just appreciating one another as fans. So your idea for this week, for your theme for this week, for your 7 Days of Yes is In the spirit of openness, can you stay open to whatever you're dealing with right now? Whether it's a tough situation at work, a physical situation like I've been feeling these last few days, just all right, stay open to it. What do I need to learn from this, or what am I learning from this? Or even just some thoughts or beliefs, staying open to what is showing up. And as you do some reflection or listening or prayer this week, Can you stay present with it? Can you stay open to it and just listen to what it's sort of bringing forth? If you're being challenged in some things, be open to what that might be encouraging you to go a little deeper. So your assignment, your activity for this week is to stay open. So have a wonderful, wonderful week, everyone. Enjoy the video that I posted below. Very inspiring and soccer-themed. And have a wonderful week. That is your 7 Days of Yes.
