A Moment of YES: April 28th

One hour of sunlight delivers more energy than humanity uses in a year. The speaker uses this fact and a transformer metaphor to argue we're surrounded by raw power we can convert into positive action, or waste. Become an inner transformer.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for April 28th. Yeah, I'm dressed up. Big pickleball match this morning. Look out, pickleball in the house. Yeah, here we go. All right. So thanks to Brian Johnson and the Daily Optimizer for kind of sparking this idea this morning. But he shared in the email this morning the fact that 1 hour of sun on the Earth every day, 1 hour of sun on the Earth every day gives more energy than the Earth uses in an entire year, right? 1 hour of sun on the Earth is more energy than the Earth uses in an entire year, what we use on the Earth. Isn't that crazy? So go solar, go solar power. Which means that so much of that potential energy that we are being provided with on a daily basis goes wasted, right? That's wasted energy because we're not harnessing it. We're not using it. And we end up— what do we do instead? We end up creating and using energy that is not sustainable, that's not healthy, and it's not as efficient as that natural energy that is already there. That's not really my point. But the bigger point is I heard this great analogy a few years ago. I can't remember his name, at an event, but he, he was basically saying, so, uh, on a, um, power lines, at the top of power lines, from one power line to the next, there is a transformer box, right? You guys may have heard me talk about this before, but there's the transformer box. You'll see that box at the top of the power line. What does the transformer box do? It literally transforms wild energy into productive energy. It transforms wild energy into productive energy. And so when you think about what we're able to do on a day-to-day basis, we are surrounded by a lot of wild energy. Our job is to take that wild energy or wild stimulus or the stuff that is happening to us. Everything that is happening to us, we could classify as wild energy. What we decide to do with it, how we transform it and use it, is what determines whether we use that energy for good, or we allow that energy to just dissipate, or we allow that wild energy to be turned into negative energy, which actually makes us less efficient, less effective, less healthy. So again, we can use this analogy. We're being showered with opportunities every single moment. Energy is coming at us. It's how we decide to transform that energy either into productive energy or into negative energy, but we get to decide. So that's your moment of yes for today. Get your inner transformer on and yes and all of that wild energy into positive energy. Have a great day, everybody. Bye.
