In this brief spoken monologue, the speaker shares a personal reflection sparked by two Uber rides in Los Angeles, especially a lengthy conversation with a young driver. The experience leads him to question how people feel after interacting with him across various contexts—Zoom calls, office work, family, and friends. He wonders whether his presence draws attention or focuses it, and how his behavior influences others’ emotional states. He ties this introspection to an upcoming team dinner with many personalities, using the moment as a prompt for self‑evaluation and encouraging listeners to consider the energy they leave behind after each interaction.

Hey everyone, here's your moment of yes for Tuesday, April 29th. Hard to believe we are almost through April here. Um, man, May, May is here. Uh, I'm out in Los Angeles just actually for a quick day and a half for an event. Um, and so was thinking about, uh, my 2 Uber drives today, especially the second one. Uh, this young guy and I had a long conversation from LAX to the hotel. Really good chat and, you know, parted ways. And, and it got me thinking like, huh, okay, how would— how do people feel after an interaction with you? Right. And obviously, you know, with, with Uber and everything, you have your star ratings. And but if you, if you took that approach, like in general, like every time someone has an interaction with you, how do you think they walk away feeling? How would they describe that interaction? What's the energy? What's— if you're spending hours on Zoom calls with them, if you work in the same office with them, if you are in their family, friends, like, what do people be like? Yeah, this is what I feel walking away from that interaction. It's a great barometer. And because often, sometimes how we show up Isn't always the way that we intend to have the impact on people. So no, my interactions today got me thinking about that. We sort of have a team dinner tonight, and it's a lot of personalities in a room, all good personalities, but it's a lot of personalities in the room. And thinking about like, okay, how am I showing up? Showing up. Showing up. How am I showing up? Am I showing up to grab attention or to focus attention? So, and how do people feel as a result of spending time with me? I don't know. Hollister, you're not allowed to answer. There you have it. That's your moment of yes for today, everyone. Have an awesome rest of the week.
