In this short motivational video, the speaker greets viewers and frames August 1st as a “moment of yes.” He recounts his own three‑mile run, comparing it to a friend’s six‑mile run, and reflects on his limited recent running due to aches and injuries. While tackling a steep uphill segment, he repeatedly reminds himself, “this is your pace,” using the phrase as a mantra to accept his present physical capacity. He emphasizes that a pace can change day‑to‑day, but acknowledging and embracing the current one brings peace. The speaker invites viewers to apply the same mindset—recognizing their own pace, saying yes to it, and choosing whether to argue or accept—thereby setting a positive tone for the day.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes today, August first. It is August first, right? Right, August first. Whatever. Wow! Here we go, August. Your moment of yes. Here we go. You see Holland in the background there? Yeah, he just finished his six-mile run. I just finished my three-mile run. He probably would have lapped me had we run the same route, but we didn't. He's not tired. I'm still sweating, and I've already showered. So my moment of yes for today is. This is your pace, right? So part of this 3— just so context, I've only run like, I think, 3 or 4 times this summer, and recently I've been able to, um, just differently— aches and pains and strains and things like that have been preventing me from running. So easing my way back into it, very low expectation, grateful to be out there, more focused on, um, doing what you can instead of feeling like I want to do more. Right. So, part of this run, the Miley's Hill part of the run, is a pretty excruciating uphill part of the run, about, you know, just over a half mile in. And, you know, it kind of feels like I'm running and, you know, not going anywhere. And so, the idea that just kind of kept coming into my head as I was going up the hill today, which was, this is your pace. Right? Like, you want your pace to be different? Guess what? This is your pace. You want to be faster? Guess what? This is your pace, right? And, and it actually gave me a sense of peace thinking that, yeah, this is your pace. This isn't always going to be your pace. This doesn't have to stay your pace, but this is your pace right now. So if this is your pace right now, this is what feels comfortable or doable with where you are right now. Fine, great, perfect. This is your pace. So can you be at peace at it? And I was like, yeah. So throughout the run, as I would speed up at times and slow down at times based on how I was feeling, uh, the idea kept coming to me. Yeah, this is your pace, right? This is what you're capable of doing right now. Tomorrow it might be different. It probably will be different. Maybe better, maybe worse, but whatever it is, that is your pace. So carrying that idea into today, That regardless of what I'm doing, if I wanted to be more, if I wanted to be less, this is what it is, right? I can either yes and it, or I can argue with it. One feels a little better than the other. So what are you going to do? That's your moment of yes for today. This is your pace. What is your pace today? Embrace it. Enjoy it. Have an awesome day, everybody.
