In this brief motivational vlog, the speaker delivers a "moment of yes" for Tuesday, August 22, 2023. Using personal anecdotes—his dog Mako needing a bathroom break, travel to Chicago, a heat wave, and a school practice schedule—he illustrates the concept of neutral (yes‑and) thinking. He defines neutral thinking as observing objective facts, then choosing a response that balances a clear sense of purpose with extreme flexibility. The speaker emphasizes the need to maintain strong direction while being willing to adjust plans day‑by‑day, moment‑by‑moment, and invites viewers to consider how they can be clear about their intentions yet adaptable in execution. The video ends with a call to action for the audience to apply this mindset to their own day.

Hello everyone, here is your moment of yes for Tuesday, August 22nd. I know it's Tuesday, I missed yesterday. Mako's at my feet whining, he wants to go outside to go to the bathroom. Um, here you have it, uh, Hollister's in Poland this week. Uh, I had to fly back and forth to Chicago yesterday. Um, uh, we are going through a heat wave here. Uh, Shepherd had to practice at 6:15 this morning before school. St. Louis University, adjusting every— it's adjustment, adjustment, adjustment. And I just got off doing a Limitless Live on neutral thinking, which just got me in the mindset of our ability. When we talk about neutral thinking, we're talking about yes-and thinking, right? It's looking at the reality of the situation, the current reality of the situation, looking at the objective facts and then choosing our response. And choosing our response often requires what? It requires adjustments, flexibility, making tweaks. Hey, I thought things were going to go this way, but because of this, because of 100-degree weather, we need to move the time. Hey, I thought things were going to go this way, but because of my talk ending early, I'm going to see if I can catch the earlier flight, right? So we're always— we always have a— we want to have clarity around who we are, what we're about, what we're trying to accomplish, and then we want to have extreme flexibility and adaptability about how we get there. I think that's the important part. We want to have a clear and strong sense of direction and purpose and a fluid and flexible ability to adjust and respond day by day, moment by moment throughout. And so today's Tuesday, right? I should have done this yesterday, but yesterday I was on the road the whole time. So— I'm doing it today. So you're getting a moment of yes for today. Mako needs to go outside. I'm gonna take him right now. That's my adjustment. So what do you need to do today to be flexible, to be clear on your intentions, but flexible on the execution? Well, there you have it. That's your moment of yes for today. Have an awesome day, everybody. Bye.
