It contains a short English motivational monologue by a single host (labeled SPEAKER A) that opens with a brief sports mention (Indiana at St. Louis on ESPN Plus) and centers on Heraclitus's quote about never stepping into the same river twice. The speaker uses the river/bank metaphor to prompt reflection on balancing pairs such as structure vs. spontaneity, trust vs. doubt, doing vs. being, and consumption vs. minimizing, encouraging listeners to assess where they are in those dynamics.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for Friday, August 23rd. It is opening season game day. That's right, Indiana coming to St. Louis. Big night. Um, should be an awesome, awesome game. ESPN Plus if you want to watch. Um, your moment of yes for today, uh, Heraclitus— Heraclitus— Heraclitus, uh, has that great quote that you never step into the same river twice. Because the river has changed and so have you. I love that idea of everything is constantly changing. We're constantly changing. Everything around us is constantly changing. And so we're always experiencing everything new, even if it feels like it's the same thing. I was doing an online virtual leadership lab this week and used the analogy of the river, right? I've talked about the riverbanks before. Each side of the river has 2 banks, and if we look at them as sort of opposites of the same thing, neither good nor bad, and then we can just ask ourselves, where am I today and which bank do I need to be closer to? So for you, okay, so one riverbank, right, is structure, the other one is spontaneity. Where are you in the river today? And which bank do you need to move towards just today, right? Just where you are today. If we think about trust, right, and doubt, where are you in that river today, right? And how far to doubt are you, and do we need to swim a little bit to the trust? All right, how about How about doing versus being? Doing versus being. Where are you in the river? Do you need to do more doing today? Do you need more active, just get some stuff done? Or do you need to relax, take a step back and do some being today? So we can think about that with many things in our life and just find out where we are. Neither one are really kind of good or bad. It's just recognizing Where we are, is that where we need to be in the river right now, or do we need to get closer to one of those banks? Another big one is, right, right, is it consumption or is it, you know, minimizing, right? Do I need to go get something or do I need to actually get rid of something? It's a good one to ponder today as well. So there you have it. Where are you in all these different rivers? You're not the same person, nor is the river. That's your moment of yes for today. Have an awesome weekend, everyone.
