In this short motivational video recorded on August 4, 2025, the speaker reflects on the challenges of mid‑summer, noting a personal “summer of tragedy” compounded by broader global hardships. Feeling overwhelmed and tempted toward cynicism, he turns to a simple philosophy shared by his friend Matt Miller: “love the person in front of you.” He frames this as a personal “religion” that can be applied to any interaction—whether a meeting, phone call, or daily task. By consistently showing up with love, the speaker believes he can become a blessing to others while also supporting his own well‑being. He concludes by urging listeners to adopt this love‑focused mindset as their “MonaVie Yes” for the day, wishing them an awesome week.

Good morning, everyone. Here's your moment of yes for Monday, August 4th. We are, uh, we're in August, y'all. Um, the— we're way past— not way past, but we're half, you know, we're past the halfway mark. Um, summer, if you have kids in school, kind of feels like it's, it's winding down with, with preseason and all that starting. Um, and, and back in St. Louis, after being gone for the last month. And so, so here we go. You know, if you think back to the beginning of the year, you know, what, you know, what were some of those things you wanted to focus on? Behaviors, intentions, resolutions. How have you done? Where are you? What has shifted? And what feels— what's important now, right? What feels most important to you right here at the beginning of August? And truthfully, you know, it's been— I know for me, for my family, there's been a lot of difficult news all summer. It feels like it's been a summer of just a lot of tragedy, a lot of loss. And so it's been rough. I can't ever think of a time where There's been this many things kind of compounded for different friends and family members. And obviously there's big stuff going on in the world as well. And so when I've noticed myself sort of getting discouraged, frustrated, tempted to be cynical, I just kind of keep coming back to— I get overwhelmed, too much information, I get overwhelmed, I want to shut down. So, you know, I always come back to, um, uh, my, my buddy Matt Miller. Um, shout out to Matt, who, when he and I talk about, you know, religion and spirituality, he's like, hey, I'm not really religious. He goes, but my— he goes, but if I— my religion would be this, would be just love the person in front of you. That's it. Love the person in front of you. I'll sign up for that religion. And so for me, it's Whether it's the person or the opportunity or the thing that's in front of me, how can I love it? How can I show up? How can I show up for this session, for this person, for this phone call? Whatever I'm doing next, how can I show up? Can I show up with love? And if I keep showing up with love over and over and over again, even though I can't control all the tragedy and things that are happening around me, I'm going to keep showing up and hopefully being a help, a blessing, not only for the other person or the situation, but also for myself at the same time. So regardless of what you got going on today or this week, just keep loving the person or the event right in front of you. That's your MonaVie Yes for today. Have an awesome week, everyone. Bye.
