Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for Wednesday, December 11th. Just finishing a workout. And so, two things that come to mind today for this amoy. The first one is I'm listening to an interview with Joe Dispenza on the Michael Gervais podcast. If you don't know much about Joe Dispenza, pretty fascinating guy doing fascinating work. Michael Gervais is one of the top sports psychologists. in the world. Highly recommend listening to that episode. And it reminds me of— I was reading Richard Rohr's book today, which is Yes, And. Richard Rohr, the monastic monk, I believe. And it's just a collection of his reflections aptly called Yes, And. Highly recommend that as well. So he was sharing the idea in this reflection today about when a bird is Perched upon an electrical wire, why the bird is not electrocuted. And the science is, is because the bird is touching the wire but is not grounding itself with the ground, there's no transference of that, of the electricity, of the energy. So therefore, the bird, by being on the energy, the electric energy, But the fact that it's not connecting it to the ground or connecting it to something else, it's unharmed by the energy. I'm like, wow, what a great analogy that is when it comes to being in a situation where we can feel anger, we can feel frustration, we can feel jealousy, envy, rage, any of these things, we can feel them but if we don't ground it with our actions, if we don't ground it with an attachment, to a thing or a situation and we just allow ourselves to notice it and to feel it and to sit on top of it as if we were the bird on the wire, we then can just release it and let go and move on. It doesn't mean we don't feel it, doesn't mean we don't experience it, but we are not a victim to it because we have the power actually to release it and let go instead of connecting it or grounding it to something else. So, yeah, lots of big good ideas floating around. Today. Check out that interview, check out Richard Rohr's book, and have an awesome day. That's your moment of yes, y'all.
