In this brief daily reflection, the speaker shares personal travel plans—heading to Los Angeles and then returning to family in Florida—while mentioning a recent soccer weekend in Gulf Shores, Alabama. He discusses his ongoing contemplation of a "word of the year" for 2025, noting that previous years' words were "value" and "trust," and encourages listeners to find quiet time to reflect on their own upcoming word. The monologue concludes with gratitude for support of his newly released book, "Confidence Is Overrated," and wishes the audience a good day.

Good morning, everyone. Here's your Moment of Yes for December 16th. Shepherd had a good soccer weekend in Gulf Shores, Alabama, um, and, uh, yeah, we're in Florida. Um, I'm actually heading out to LA today and then flying back at the end of the week to be, um, with family here on the west coast of Florida. But, um, yeah, all good. So, uh, with all the drive time that I've had the last few days and, and more flight time and drive time to come, I've been sitting with the idea of what feels like the word of the year for 2025. 2 years ago, it was value, which had a lot of meaning to me, a lot of value. This year it was trust, which thank goodness it was trust because needed a lot of it. And so I've been sitting, listening, pondering, meditating, reflecting on what that word for 2025 is going to be. And I've found this The use of the word has been super, super helpful, actually, super helpful the last few years. So yeah, just kind of encouraging that to you all as you think about the word that's coming to the surface for you in 2025. So that's your moment of yes for today. Find that time, find that quiet space over the next few weeks to sit, listen, reflect, see what comes up for you and trust it when it does because Trust was not a word that I thought I needed coming into 2024, but it was definitely exactly what I needed. So yeah, there you have it. Thank you to everyone for supporting the book Confidence Is Overrated, which came out on Friday. Enjoying all the fun that goes with a book launch. So thanks everyone, and that's your moment of BS. Have an awesome day, everybody.
