In this short motivational monologue, the speaker delivers the final “Moment of Yes” for 2020, encouraging listeners to reflect on the past year’s challenges and adaptations during the COVID‑19 pandemic. He highlights how individuals and families have “yes‑and”ed—adapting, improvising, and meeting needs—despite uncertainty. The talk urges gratitude, acknowledgment of personal and collective resilience, and suggests journaling as a tool to capture these insights. The speaker frames this reflection as a source of momentum to carry into 2021, ending with a hopeful, supportive send‑off.

Good morning, everyone. Here's your Moment of Yes for Wednesday, December 30th. That's right, this is the last Moment of Yes for 2020. The next one is Friday, which will be January 1st, 2021. So here you have it, the last Moment of Yes for 2020, which I would be remiss if we didn't think about just this idea. And numerous people have said it to me this week alone, which is just think a year ago, who would have known? A year ago, who would have known? And it's come up in multiple conversations this week. But every time that someone has shared it with me, it's been from a positive standpoint. It's been this idea of who would have known a year ago that we were walking into this pandemic? And here we are almost a year into it. We're still in the pandemic. We're going to be in it here for a little bit. But as we reflect on 2020, we reflect on the year which was all about facing And yes-anding a global pandemic, just reflect back all the different ways that you had to yes-and and adapt, yes-and and be flexible, yes-and and be responsible, yes-and and improvise. Every way this past year— and think of all the different ways that your needs were met and the different ways that your family adapted and responded. And think of all the different ways that you were able to pay those bills and the opportunities that came along. That you had no idea would come along and needs were met in ways that you had no idea that a need would be met. So today is all about reflecting on that, looking at that, digging in that. If you haven't journaled it, reflect on it. This is a great day to sit, reflect, notice all of the ways that you were able to respond to 2020 and all of the challenges it presented. And you made it and you've continued to make it. And you will continue to make it. So today is about gratitude. Today is about acknowledging. Today is about recognizing all of the different ways you responded and others responded with you and for you to make this year possible. That's your moment of yes for today. That's the momentum that we're jumping into 2021 with. Yeah. All right. That's your moment of yes, guys. Have a great day. Bye.
