In this brief, on‑the‑go video, the speaker delivers a motivational “Moment of Yes” centered on the principle “observe, don’t absorb.” He explains that observing means noticing external circumstances and internal thoughts without letting them become part of you, drawing a parallel to Jesus’ teaching to be “in the world but not of the world.” By staying in the role of the watcher, one can remain neutral, avoid internalizing negativity or stress, and choose a constructive “yes‑and” response instead of reacting automatically. The speaker urges viewers to apply this mindset throughout the week.

Hey everyone, this is your Moment of Yes for, uh, was it Tuesday? Tuesday, February 11th, I think. Um, sorry, I was, was doing some more traveling this past week. Um, so here we are and I'm getting ready to head to the airport right now. So I thought I would get this in before, before I forget again. Your Moment of Yes for today is observe, don't absorb. Yes, I heard that or I saw that written last week. And immediately I was like, oh, that's, that's genius. That's money. Observe, don't absorb. Reminds me of when Jesus talks about, um, be in the world but not of the world, right? I can be in the eye of the storm but not absorbed by the eye of the storm. I can observe, don't absorb. Don't let it become part of you. You can be surrounded by negativity, don't absorb the negativity. You can be surrounded by stress, don't We don't absorb the stress. So what do we do instead? We observe. We are the noticer. We are the watcher. So when we stay in that level of consciousness that notices the external, including noticing the internal— my own thoughts, my own emotions, my own feelings— I don't need to absorb those either. I can observe them so that I can stay neutral. I can get to that yes-and response and choose how I'm going to respond. Instead of absorbing it and having them make those decisions for me. So as you head into the week, let's make sure that we are observing, not absorbing. That's your moment of yes for today. Have an awesome week, everyone.
