In this brief, on‑the‑go motivational video recorded at San Francisco airport, the speaker shares his “moment of yes” for February 16. He contrasts the common pursuit of “balance”—pictured as a precarious teeter‑totter that never feels steady—with the concept of “harmony,” which he describes as a flowing, adaptable integration of personal and professional life. Using the metaphor of balance as an unstable midpoint and harmony as a fluid, ebb‑and‑flow state, he argues that one can be physically distant from family or extremely busy at work yet still feel harmonious with one’s purpose and relationships. The core takeaway he offers listeners is to aim for harmony rather than striving for balance, encouraging a mindset shift that reduces stress and promotes a sense of wholeness.

Hey everyone, your moment of yes for Monday, February 16th. Greetings from the San Francisco airport. Alistair and I were doing a workshop out here this weekend. She's on her way home. I'm on my way to Dallas for a talk at SMU tomorrow. So yeah, squeezing this in before I jump on my flight. Your moment of yes for today is the difference between balancing and harmonizing, or balance and harmony. This great— read a newsletter the other day and he was talking about the concept how a lot of us, myself included, get sucked into the idea that we're trying to balance our life, balance our professional life with our personal life, or just balance any aspect of our life. And I've tried to do that a lot as well. But interesting point is when you think about balancing something, balancing doesn't mean that you're on firm ground. Right, you picture sort of the teeter-totter, right? And you're in the middle trying to balance, and it never feels steady, it never feels firm, and it's definitely never comfortable. So, and it never stays balanced, right? As soon as you work things out, something else pops up and it upsets the whole apple cart, if you will. But think about harmony. To have a life that is in harmony with your personal life, your professional life, and all different aspects, in harmony And harmony means you might be super busy professionally and maybe not physically present with family or vice versa. You might be super present with your family but not have a lot going on professionally and yet still be in harmony with your wholeness, right? And seeing it not as a balancing act but as flow. Flow. And there's ebbs and there's flows and there's ups and there's downs. But I can be physically away from my family and still be in harmony with them, be in harmony with my purpose. I can be uber, uber busy without necessarily being stressed or anxious and all of that vice versa. So, I just love that for today. Your moment of yes for today, for this week is desire harmony, don't try to strive for balance. There's a huge difference in feeling between the two of those. That's your moment of yes for today. Have an awesome week everyone. Bye.
