In this short motivational video, the speaker greets viewers on a cold February Monday and reflects on a recent board meeting that focused heavily on leadership and spirituality. Drawing on an improvisation principle—"don't tell me, show me"—he argues that organizations and individuals should demonstrate leadership, spirituality, and kindness through action rather than discussion. He proposes a weekly challenge: engage in "leadership charades," "spirituality charades," and "kindness charades," meaning to embody these qualities visibly instead of merely talking about them. The message encourages viewers to adopt a practice of showing, not telling, as their personal "moment of yes" for the week.

Hey, good morning everyone. Here is your Moment of Yes for Monday, February 23rd. Actually hitting you up on a Monday on schedule, uh, in the frozen, frozen Midwest today. I mean, I know Frank, I hope you're okay up in the Northeast getting hammered with this storm. And, uh, for everyone else as well, I know it's single digits today and, um, all right, spring, where are you? So, your moment of yes for today. I was thinking about this concept. I was a part of a board meeting this weekend and there was lots of talk about leadership and as an organization, being better leaders, being better managers. And then there was a lot of talk about spirituality and what does spirituality, you know, like, are we being like, you know, How is spirituality showing up and who's living spiritually? And, and it was just kind of like talk, talk, talk, talk. And it got me just sitting there thinking, in improvisation, uh, especially, uh, there's this great, uh, phrase that you're given, especially early on when you're learning improv. The temptation is for 2 or more actors to get on stage and just to talk about what they're doing or talk about what they see. The expression is, don't tell me, show me. Don't tell us what you're doing, show us what you're doing. Don't tell me what you see, show us what you see. So it just hit me and I was like, what we need is we need some leadership charades, we need some spirituality charades. We don't need people telling us Or political charades. How about that? We don't, we don't need people telling us what they're doing. We don't need people telling us how they're living spiritually. We don't need people telling us how they're leaders. We need to shut up and we need to do it. We need to show it, right? I don't need to talk about spirituality. I need to show spirituality. I don't need to talk about leadership. I need to show leadership. And so as Mako, Bust into the door, bottom right corner. For today, for this week, my challenge for myself and for you is to play some spiritual charades, play some leadership charades, play some kindness charades, whatever, whatever you aspire to do. Don't tell us or don't tell others, but instead let's go out and show. Let's show others where they're going to go. That's spirituality. That's leadership. Without us having to describe it. Don't tell us, show us. That's your moment of yes for today. Have an awesome week, everyone.
