In this short guided meditation titled “Moment of Yes” for Wednesday, January 20th, 2021, the speaker acknowledges the heightened national tension surrounding the U.S. Presidential Inauguration, including fear, anger, and the potential for violence, while also recognizing the concurrent hope and inspiration. She frames these emotions as surface‑level indicators that can be consciously addressed. Listeners are invited to spend about 60 seconds in intentional breathing, prayer, and setting a peaceful intention, with the aim of counterbalancing negative feelings and projecting calm, compassion, and love onto themselves, their loved ones, and the broader country. The meditation concludes with a call to become an “exhale” for others, breathing out anxiety and breathing in peace, thereby encouraging personal agency in influencing the collective mood of the day.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your Moment of Yes for Wednesday, January 20th, 2021. For those of us here in the United States, we know that today is, today is a big day as a country. It is Inauguration Day. And obviously, with, with what has been going on, not only the past few months, but, but, but building up to what happened last week and Clearly, there's obviously a lot of tension, a lot of frustration, a lot of anger, a lot of hatred that seems to be continuously coming to the surface. And as scary as that is, the things that come to the surface allow us at least to understand them, to treat them, to try to deal with them, right? It's when the things are below the surface that it's, it's a little more difficult to, uh, to fully grasp, um, uh, what's going on. And today is a big day, and, um, there is, right, a, a likelihood or a possibility of, of, of people trying to enact maybe, um, some acts of terrorism, some acts of violence. And so there's a lot of tension, there's a lot of fear, a lot of anxiety possibly about today, as, as well as There's a lot of hope and inspiration happening today. So the opportunity each of us have is to always counterbalance, to counterbalance any type of anxiety, frustration, fear, impatience, hatred that's going on around us. We have the opportunity to counterbalance that with how we show up, with how we think, with how we act, with how we behave. And instead of allowing ourselves to be sucked into that, we get to stay independent. We get to put out a different energy, different behavior, different action that then has the opportunity to impact and transform those around us. So if you'll join me today, just to kind of establish our day, we can establish the day for ourselves, establish the day for our loved ones. Possibly even establish the day for the country, even the ones that, that, that maybe we disagree with or have a difficult time with. And so just giving ourselves maybe 60 seconds here of just intentional meditation, intentional prayer, setting some peaceful intention for the day. And as I do this, I'm gonna close my eyes and just kind of breathe through it. As I do this, I know I'm just gonna be kind of wrapping the country, wrapping the world in my thoughts and in my prayers. And so I've got the clock here. We'll go for about 60 seconds and just use this as an opportunity to ground yourself, to feel yourself, to feel your breath, and to, to get yourself prepared for the day. All right. So let's take that. Let's take the 60 seconds that we just gave ourselves, the 60 seconds of healing, of love, of compassion, and let's carry that into the day today. Let's continuously be the exhale for anyone else that's feeling this tight, holding our breath inhale. Let's breathe out. Let's breathe out. Let's breathe in peace. Let's breathe out any type of anxiety, tension, fear, or anger. Let's have a great day, everybody. That's your moment of yes for today.
