In this brief motivational monologue, the speaker delivers a “moment of yes” for Thursday, January 23rd, urging listeners to recognize that the stories they tell themselves— their internal beliefs and self‑narratives— are more powerful than their actual abilities. He explains that even when people possess gifts, strengths, and talents, these remain untapped if their self‑beliefs limit them. To achieve personal growth or improve in any area, one must not only have the capacity to level up but also the belief that such improvement is possible. The speaker prompts the audience to identify a specific belief they need to challenge, emphasizing that challenging (rather than merely changing) a belief opens the path to real change. The talk concludes with an invitation to start challenging limiting stories as today’s “moment of yes,” encouraging an empowered, action‑oriented mindset.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for Thursday, January 23rd. I have not forgot about you. It's, it's been survival mode, right? It's been so cold this last week or so. It has just been straight up survival mode. So yeah, I haven't forgot about you. Your moment of yes though for today, we are back. And so I was in a coaching session the other day. And this concept came up which I'm like, ooh, hold on, let's sit in that one for a second. And the phrase that came up was, the stories we tell ourselves are more powerful than the ability we possess. Let me say that again. The stories we tell ourselves are more powerful than the abilities we possess. Going just that idea of so many of us have so many gifts, so many strengths, so many talents, so much ability, but they're, they're kind of rendered, you know, useless, null and void if the stories we actually tell ourselves, our beliefs, our perception about who we are, don't allow us to tap into them. And so anytime we want to make a shift, we want to move, we want to level up, we have to have the ability to level up, but most importantly, we have to have the belief that we can level up. We're always our worst enemy and it's always an inside job. And so when you think about where is it that you want to improve in your life and improve, just get better, right? I want to be better in this relationship or I want to be better with this skill or with this talent. It's like, all right, what do I need to do to get better? And also what part of my belief do I need to challenge that allows me, that gives me permission to get better? Because if I don't believe I can get better, then all the work in the world, I'm not going to see the results because I don't see it's possible. So your moment of yes for today is what belief do you need to challenge? Not change, challenge. If you challenge it, the change can happen, but we have to be willing to challenge it first. So the stories we tell ourselves are more powerful than the abilities we possess. Let's start challenging those beliefs. That's your moment of yes for today. Have an awesome day, everybody.
